  1. Ok thank you! It said 'No parts list per step'. I missed that earlier
  2. Hi again! How did you move the part list form the callout to the main part list in step 3?
  3. Thank you! I think I know how to do it now, but I can always check if I'm unsure. I also saw that you have a tutorial about buffer exchange which will be useful to me in the future. I tried to do that with my current instructions but failed . Next time I'll try again following your tutorial.
  4. Another question about basically the same subject. I have used a couple of PF extension wires in my model and created them using LSynth. I would like to get them shown in the parts list as well and don't no how to do that, since they aren't available as completed parts as far as I know. /HallBricks
  5. Okay, the reason LPub 4 is faster for me may be that my mac is approximately 1000 times faster than my PC
  6. Thank you for replying. I think it's strange if that feature isn't included, since it's very useful when dealing with larger models. I have LPub 3D installed on my PC but it's VERY slow so I prefer LPub 4 on my Mac. If thats a feature for LPub 3D only I think I'll change the scale of the model instead.
  7. Hi again everyone! My questions about LPub never seem to end :D Now I wonder if there is any way to move the model in the step so a specific part of the model gets visible. As shown in the screen shot a couple of pieces are added to the front part of the model but LPub zooms in at the middle of the model so these parts are not visible. I don't really want to zoom out since that would make everything very small. I hope this isn't a duplicate topic, I tried to find another topic about this but I didn't. /HallBricks
  8. Hi everyone! I have the same problem at the moment but wonder if there is a solution when using ribbed hoses as well. It would also be great if you could view rubber bands created in the MLCad rubber belt generator in the parts list and bill of materials. When dealing with Power Functions motors the best way is probably making it a submodel? Thank you in advance. HallBricks
  9. So it was that simple then... Very unexpected. Thank you very much for your help, I don't have to redesign the whole submodel next time then :)
  10. Okay, I rebuilt the specific submodel and it seem to work now. Thank you everyone who tried to help me to solve this problem! :-) It works in both LPub 4 on the mac and in LPub 3D on the PC now.
  11. I should probably try to rebuild the specific submodel that is mentioned in the error message then. I tried to completely remove submodel 4 from the file without changing anything else and it worked. Now I'll try to rebuild it and hope for a better result.
  12. The part list/bill of material problem has nothing to do with the crash. I figured out how to get them back. The crash is still a mystery though...
  13. Also, the part lists for all steps don't show up as you can see on the screen shot. I am not able to get either part lists or bill of materials.
  14. The model does load in LDview without any problems. The model only contains about 25 submodels so it's way less than 256 open files.
  15. Okay, reinstalling didn't help. I don't know much about these kind of things so I haven't got a clue of what I have to do. It didn't work in LPub 3D on Windows either, I didn't get the error message though, the software just crashed.
  16. Thank you for replying! Do you hav any idea of how I could fix it? Maybe I should try to reinstall the software?
  17. Hi! I am creating building instructions for my latest creation and I just imported the LDraw file into Lpub 4. When I right-click on a submodel step and select convert to callout I get a error message that says I have to many open models. Is there any way to fix this or do I have to go back and remove a lot of submodels and redraw a LOT of work? Thank you in advance!
  18. I have SR3D installed on both Windows XP and Windows 7, It works well on both of them. I installed the Windows 7 version probably more than one year ago and I don't remember there were any problems. Unfortunately I don't know how to fix that problem since I mostly am a Mac user and don't know so much about the Windows OS. According to the SR3D website you should probably try to update your Microsoft DirectX driver, but thats all i know. Hope that can help you :)
  19. The amount of technic parts available on Pick a Brick is quite limited. Bricks&Pieces, which can be found on the Lego Service page, has almost all Technic Pieces that are in production today available.
  20. I'm happy to hear that you liked my bus! 1. During the design process, I work almost entirely with real parts. I think it's much easier to see how the functions work in that way, and also how well the model holds together. When I built my bus, I used digital tools to design the brick built parts though. 2. I use LDraw and SR3D when building virtually, even though I am a Mac user, so that forces me to have Windows installed. I have tried out the Mac version of LDraw but I feel like I'll never get used to Bricksmith's interface, I think SR3D and MLcad are much better. 3. I buy parts both from Lego Bricks & Pieces and BrickLink. The prices for more uncommon parts and newer parts tend to get quite high on BrickLink so I usually buy that kind of parts directly from Lego if it's possible. The shipping prices are also quite low at Bricks & Pieces.
  21. I just wanted to tell you that this project is now on Lego Ideas. I thought it was worth a try so please leave a vote if you like it :) https://ideas.lego.com/projects/136427
