Location: Jameston Type: Medium Factory The Sepoys of Jameston eyed the new factory suspiciously. They had heard the stories of the WTC, and their exploits. The WTC Infantryman eyed the horse hungrily. Bottle factory by North White, on Flickr Inside the factory, Pete Zanzibar observed the workers. Bottle factory by North White, on Flickr Glass was made by melting sand into a gooey hot pulp, and gathered on a pipe. Bottle factory by North White, on Flickr The blob of glass was put into a mould made out of a barrel. Bottle factory by North White, on Flickr Bottle factory by North White, on Flickr A worker would then blow into the pipe, turning the blob of glass into a bottle. Bottle factory by North White, on Flickr After the bottles were cooled, the mould pieces were removed, and the bottles placed in crates. Bottle factory by North White, on Flickr The large crates were loaded into a cart. Bottle factory by North White, on Flickr As Zanzibar walked towards the exit he muttered to himself. "We are literally robbing the crown of Corrington with these economic incentives. Pity this had to be built at the edge of the world though. Her sister factories will make this the manufacturing capital of the new world. But it'll be a pain to ship the goods. Yes sir, it'll be a pain to ship the goods." FIN Thanks for viewing my build! Sorry for the radio silence lately. This was going to go in Mesabi Landing, but I need the cash, so Jameston I guess. C&C appreciated!

Nice fountain Drunknok, but I think it could use some more minifigs in the build. Culture builds are meant to be admired!
-
Very nice build! I like the roof, and the use of the capes as hides. I might have to steal both of those ideas.
-
Absolutely fantastic build @Drunknok. The water turned out very, very well. I especially like the detailing of the water as well.

Very nice @Ayrlego, and it's cool you've kept your builds around long enough to make a street scene. I like the detailing of the build, especially the little barber's shop accents.- 8 replies

And, as usual, you've knocked it out of the park with the story @pombe. Nice build too. It's a shame the Brick Seas won't be swarmed with sister ships of the Nerdy Mermaid though.

Great Story @Drunknok, and a great plantation to go along with it! @Spud The Viking might be coming for you now, since you're edging out on his territory. And welcome to the WTC!

Great build @Kai NRG. Good to see a Mesabi character getting some justice for their crimes.
-
Fantastic build Drunkok! Great job depicting all of the steps involved in the process.

Very Nice! I like the temple especially, the windows made with the turntable pieces is always a nice touch. My only criticism is that the glass factory's ground could use a little more texture. -
Fantastic build! I love the siding, and the dug in ground with the wheels is a fantastic attention to detail. This is a fantastic addition to your settlement. Where'd you get the sheep? They aren't lego made, at least as far as I can tell.

Very nice build! It's good to see Jamestown being built up. I think you could have gone for a factory, but that might be gaming the system a little. I really like the texturing and the upper floor windows. And, nice interior.- 16 replies

Nice build KB, It's good to see you building with actual bricks for a change. The photo quality isn't great, but I'm not going to complain. Keep up the good work! -
So, I have confirmation from @Maxim I that I can use the Adventure Treasury to license the WTC Copperhead. How do I license the ship from the adventure treasury?
-
Nice little prospecting build @Drunknok! I like the copious amounts of TNT/Dynamite used. You license it like any build, if I remember right.
-
So, I built my ship, for my AMCRA, but I haven't licensed it, since I don't know how to draw from the adventure treasury. Does leadership just do it, or something else?
-
Got my first! "Is a Redcoat who operates in the Red" Relates to my constant bankruptcy in BoBS. Thanks Phred!

Has the next turn for the AMCRA been established yet? Or are you holding off until more entries are in?

Arlinsport Advisor The Economic Guide to the Seas Issue 1, Vol 1 Moving forwards After a Disastrous Month in which one in seven ships were lost, all members of the Brick Seas are looking for better, calmer seas. But it was not just ship losses that were disastrous, the cost of launching ships kept the average profit low, leading to massive losses. But this Economic Journal will keep you up to date with strategies to make a profit on the Brick Seas. Upkeep Costs The cost of launching a ship onto the Brick Seas is already expensive. But operating them is the real danger. Fortunately, the first 100 Dbs Spent can be written off. Therefore, we recommend you do your best to keep upkeep low. Why not simply go to high value ports? High value ports have taxes, and are swarmed by people looking to make a profit. And pirates love targeting the zones around these ports. Why stake your fortune on factors you cannot control? Fleet Design The Arlinsport Advisor recommends you craft a small fleet, one that will pay little to nothing in upkeep. Here are our designs. Class Class Class Class Class Cost Total Points 2 2 4 5 42 2 2 4 0 0 17 54 2 2 4 1 1 35 60 2 4 4 50 48 2 2 2 2 0 48 2 1 1 1 1 0 48 2 0 0 0 0 0 36 2 4 5 80 51 2 5 5 115 54 2 7 75 39 2 2 2 2 2 20 60 And, as the Arlinsport proudly presents, the data in a graph As you can see, A fleet with 60 Stat points can easily be obtained at a low cost. Larger ships, while individually providing a large amount of stat points, are not as useful as a fleet of small ships. Additionally, Large fleets of small ships have the benefit of Strength in numbers.
