I'll post in 10-15 minutes. Well I did my best, hope it's enough.. My entry! Explanation for some obscure choices is at the bottom. Hope you'll enjoy it, but in anycase this was a lot of fun
-
Ok bad news I've underestimated how much parts you need for the MOC's. So I've run out of plates.. I'll try my best to "cover it up" somehow, but truth be told I rather bend some rules instead of using wrong colours. Hope that'll still be acceptable.

Thrawn or Rebels are not that popular, compared to stuff like TFA. Next thing, you need a story and enough plates to make a big enough MOC. I've yet to extend my Thrawn office to reach enough studs and find a suitable background for both MOC's. So if everything goes according to my plans I should post my entry in 7-10 hours.

I think it's more then 7? I counted like 8-9.
-
Awesome to see enough participants! Since work hindered me from building anything other than my Thrawn's office MOC (which lacks 4 studs in lengh for now..); I reused my medevil village- hope that'll work as well. I'll try very hard to post tomorrow, once I've found a suitable background.

Great that your limitation in parts/ships didn't hinder you from joining the contest! Love how creativity can fill these gaps
-
Great how much energy you put in But it can be difficult with limited time and parts. I actually wanted to make a space battle, but ran out of parts, so I'll have to overthrow the original concept completely. But I do have something in mind - as long as I'll be able to post pictures somewhere I'll compete for sure I'm positive at least 10 are possible - and you can help with it

LEGO Ninjago 2017 Discussion
Kim-Kwang-Seok replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
If the prices are true, Ninjago would even become a better deal.. Within the SW line the Bounty would probably cost between 250-300 bucks.. However I'd consider that many Ninjago sets are cheaper in Germany (as opposed to most other themes) Temple becomes a must buy for me - 1/3 extra parts - for just 100 Euro in Germany! -
The frigate set was horrible. Like the Gonzati class (Assault carrier) it was a bad choice for a set. But the Gonzati was at least a quite good build. I have no idea how the frigate could be produced the way it was. I still lov the set(s) but only with my heavy modifications. I've increased the middle room's space and built in a cargo room as well as a machine room at the back. I'll try posting pictures (which isn't easy with such a large set and a very bad phone). I think I can say that I have done pretty much the best you could do with that size.

The Best LEGO Superheroes Minifigure Round 1.29
Kim-Kwang-Seok replied to VaderFan2187's topic in LEGO Licensed
For sure armored BM. Cape, great printing, cowl, armor piece... That figure is so awesome. I had to buy an extra one and put black cowl, hands and cape on it - looks even better. Storm - even though her hair was so wrong. Props for the first black female figure. Oh and thx for the thread Mr Vader -
+ You seem to know Thrawn quite well. At least you have captured the character; the way he communicates/explains a situation to others very VERY well. + the inclusion of ET is just perfect. I'd rather think of some silly inclusion of another Lego theme (Bionicle, Johnny Thunder?), but ET is perfect since (as absurd as it is) the species still exists in-universe.

I can't get over how clever this contest is! Though I calculate 0 % chance of winning, I'll try my best to participate: a) One reason being, that I'd like to increase the attendance numbers b) a creative idea like this just has to be supported! Props to whoever came up with this idea!

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
Kim-Kwang-Seok replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
I'm VERY curious of, how the sets did on the market. In any case, you have to consider: Lego has much more space for TLBM or TLM since they control income & the source material itself. Therefore they can probably invest much more into details like dual moldings, new molds... -
LEGO Ninjago 2017 Discussion
Kim-Kwang-Seok replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
So Nya just gets a fabric piece for her armor. Up till today I though it would be a hard plastic armor piece, the first of its kind. But a cloth armor piece for the legs is also not bad. -
Yeah, but she wasn't really human, wasn't she? I mean I love diverse alien female heads even more (to reinforce my awesome super diverse Rebel army), but if you'd go for human figures - before Storm you only had "white" heads. Gladly TLBM provided us with a livestock of darker skin tones .

if it's claws, call them claws. If there suppoed to be hands, Lego failed. ;) Seriously, it's all about the illusion - that this unproportioned blocky thing looks like a Samurai, police officer or whatever we want. -
It's a shame, there would be so much potential... The last set had a great design (for its size), had more interior than some Star Wars sets over 100 bucks AND it gave us great minifigures. Getting Magneto, Wolverine and Storm (first black female figure!) was a must have! The sentinal didn't impress me back then, but it actually is one of the few mechs that has elbow and knee articulation! Enough euphoria: X-Men rather reaches people outside of TLG's target audience. Kids wanna have Bats or Iron Man. Maybe if the new reboot reaches more kids, we could get more sets.

What's your recent LEGO Star Wars Purchase?
Kim-Kwang-Seok replied to KimT's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Could you post pictures of the sets? I recently got the set too for -50%. Glad I can use the hairpiece for S2 Kanan without mask - still got the old S1 Kanan with black hair. Don't know if this is the right place to ask, but does anyone know if Lego had sales decrease for SW? Because here in Germany many stores have like 40-50% discount for most sets. -

thx for the observation! Low price tells me that whatever complex build (like the Asgard ship) we get, it won't be looking too good..- 5,808 replies

Spotted plenty of the WW set in Germany as well. Funny how the "big fig" colour scheme looks like it has a grey hip piece and dual molded black/grey legs. Is WW's skirt standard blue this time?- 3,020 replies

LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors
Kim-Kwang-Seok replied to Stash2Sixx's topic in LEGO Star Wars
It indeed looks better. Aside from the cockpit; just look at the wings or the "study" nose. Description says there's space for the droid in the ship. I wonder if you just have to stick it underneath, like a lightsaber.. -
The Best 2016 LEGO Star Wars Minifigure Round 1
Kim-Kwang-Seok replied to VaderFan2187's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Would love to chose Vader - the helmet molds are phenomenal, the EP IV torso print is also great. But without mods the figure is still way too short! I put on additional pieces, so that he doesn't look like a child next to Ahsoka. To be perfect he'd need long legs & a shoulder piece for his armor. Has to be Boba. The figure has just phenomenal printing & colours.- 506 replies
