Set Advice? Joust, Raid, somethinge else or wait?
Exetrius replied to Isundir's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Parts for mocs can be bought in bulk, the joust offers a good selection of parts, but for (bigger) mocs you'll need more than that I guess. Minifigs, however, are a big draw for buying this set, because they won't reappear in any upcoming set. It is rumored that the 2016 castle theme will return to the fantasy genre. Keeping in mind that LotR and The Hobbit are both discontinued by then, there is a chance of getting non-licenced trolls, dragons, dwarves, elves and who knows! Personally those would absolutely top the Kingdoms Joust minifigs (except the falcon knight). The downside: it's a long wait to 2016! I suggest buying loose parts for mocs and a few figs to begin with and, if fantasy is your thing, try to save a lot for next year, because you better snap them up before you miss out on them and regret it -
Wow! That eye looks amazing!

Great tomb! I hope you will implement it in a bigger build

Great job on the arch and the forge I agree that the floor has a little to much colours, but it's hard to say which are to blame for that. Maybe it's because there seems to be no pattern other than diagonal line symmetry. I like the hexagonal fire places, but the studded bottom shouldn't be visible, you could add more flames for instance. It's walls would probably look better if they were a little more SNOTted. I hope you this constructive criticisme is useful to you

I hope Ninjago will never explore the futuristic genre again!

Everything is so nicely SNOTted; it just looks freaking cool with all those interesting bows and sharp edges. The room with the throne looks great too. Another fantastic build, Ecclesiastes

Buildings with bridges are so cool and his is no exception! I also love the detailed street, the beds and the peg at the entrance of the bar, just to name a few things. Oh and the groupshot of all the sigfigs, haha! Overall very well done- 21 replies

The Exetrius saga: Onicius prologue (part 2)
Exetrius replied to Exetrius's topic in Guilds of Historica
Aside from those sitting positions, I am happy with the way the shop turned out. Choosing some special display to stall was quite fun too. Thanks you all for the positive feedback -
Oh, that is very helpful to know! The mocs have priority for me, followed by the second hand sellers. As a kid, I always liked seeing and buying old sets that I otherwise would never even have known about. More mocs means more fun! Hope I can pay a visite this year, maybe I can even meet some of you

I heard from a friend that LEGO World has changed for the worse ever since it moved from Zwolle to Utrecht. Can anyone relate?

Three questions that you should think about: 1 Which minifig do I like the most? 2 Which has the best weapons? 3 Which has the most useful printed tile? They're all pretty nice, but Kai was the one to pick up for me. He and the Master Wu Dragon set were just delivered to me today such sweet sets!

Wow, truely amazing! I like the houses and all the activity going on. Only point of criticisme I have is that the colour scheme could be more varied and vivid, but that's it. Great build!

Yeah, it's about time someone posts it...

That's a cute little beacon! Great job on the rock work and the snow, both are nicely SNOTted. The minifig looks cool as well.

That is NUTS! Amazing! -
A stone armor variant for Cole and Jay would be nice, which would go well with Kai that will show up somewhere this year: https://pbs.twimg.co...X-_CUAA_pGQ.png Edit: am I the only one who thinks Kai has a smile on his face on this image? Let it be true.. Please!
