a very comic sans of humor, also (honestly, I think you have the right to hate the person who did this to you, but you are a cool guy for dealing with it like this ) Oh snap, maybe we should get back on topic...

I like your tree, nice shaping Overall, however, I think the build looks monotonous and there is a sharp contrast beween the building and the surroundings. What I mean by that, is for example that either everything is SNOTted (the building, the tree trunk), or everything is studded, except for the road, which looks decent. You used the same shade of brown throughout the whole build, which looks rather, eh.. dull, I guess. The roof looks okay from the outside, but I suggest simulating some kind of supportive framework. It's in the little details that there is a lot to gain here, because the rough form of your build is nice. I hope this is useful constructive criticism to you, happy building!

I sure hope so! I am thrilled to see figures like Syndrome, Ursala and Captain Hook up close and with all accessoires disclosed. Note to TLG: I'd like that Syndrome hairpiece in all colours of the rainbow!- 4,155 replies

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 16 Rumors and Discussion
Exetrius replied to 8BrickMario's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Makes sense. I wonder why they would even include a cyborg, it's not like we haven't had them before. Maybe this one has a completely different style in comparison with previous cyborgs, like steampunk, if it is indeed a different fig then the "Blue-Haired-Chick". Btw, I hope we will get the Rogue hood in as many colours as the normal hood, I just LOVE it -
I haven't seen these here in the Guilds, are these old GoH builds? Beautiful diorama nonetheless!

That set looks super fun!!!
-
Only noticed it now.... best fitting title EVER!!!
-
Second to that! Ash and Shade would make for cool villains.
-
Wow, that's a nice collection of builds! I especially like the last two, with respectively very natural landscaping and a lovely scene.
-
Very nice build, man! What stands out the most to me is the minifig on the bed, that's a great technique there!
-
The throne with 'evil kitty' looks superb, nice parts included as well!

Guess what! It's reviving time!!! (this is an actual screenshot, no artistic recreation) Btw, I'm in for more than one screenshot post from the same anime, as long as it's enjoyable, for the sake of keeping this thread more lively.

Crossing my fingers for evil samurai! Historically speaking, that would be a logical choice, as ninja appeared to counter them. From a marketing point of view, the only samurai in the whole of Ninjago so far is Samurai X (not counting the non-canon Ronin minions). There are also possibilities to sneak in some references to the old samurai/ninja theme, plus that samurai moulds of that theme are still being used, but imo we are in great need for some nicely detailed new ones (as I've ranted before ).

I am fine with the Guild's Weekly as it is now: highlighting a few cool recent builds plus some announcements. However, that doesn't mean that I'm not open for changes. The idea of thematic sets of builds that Sarah proposed is one that I very much like, because it will both show the variety and the unity of builds for Historica. It just has so much potential, also in the long run! Old builds can be 'mixed' with newer ones, too. Let me give some more examples: Four Great.... ... creatures ... seasonal builds ... battle scenes ... contest entries ... saga episodes ... colossal builds ... scenes from Nocturnus Anyway, I could go on another hour, but I think you get the idea Kai brings up a good point about bumping old topics, though. Maybe the post should have a reminder to only discuss old builds in this thread? I'm not in for featuring building technique tutorials; you'll learn that stuff anyway if you keep looking at GoH builds for long enough. Besides, I think the frontpage should remain reserved for exceptional MOCs, reviews and major announcements; building tutorials would inflate that, imho.

The Exetrius Saga (3): Equipment Upgrade
Exetrius replied to Exetrius's topic in Guilds of Historica
Thanks for all the positive feedback! @Jacob it's great that you noticed the far-eastern flair, while very subtle here, I intend on keeping it in many of my builds in the southwestern region of Nocturnus. Oh, and I like the Nexo shields quite a bit, they make for nicer signs I'd say the build for the next episode is for about 80% done, but an exam weeks is approaching, so I hope I can finish it enough- 17 replies

Too bad the Piggy Pirate Ship is 74.99 euros... Me and my wallet are probably waiting till the end of the year for a fair discount. On another note, the insides of this set might hold a new record in terms of the amount of different (bright) colours used, which isn't really a good thing, imo

Beautiful build! Fits well in the GoH realm too. I like the simplistic contrast between the castle and the water

I don't know of a builder who's better at 'relaxing under a tree' scenes; you nailed it once again! Your vegetation techniques are spectacular as always! But, no trees next time? Interesting... A tree STATUE, then?

Contest! The Frozen Beyond, Results are in!
Exetrius replied to Ecclesiastes's topic in Guilds of Historica
Thank you for clarifying! -
I always love to see a lot of work put into minifigure building, this is no exception! The one with the friends accessories is my favorite of the two, really inventive parts usage!

Contest! The Frozen Beyond, Results are in!
Exetrius replied to Ecclesiastes's topic in Guilds of Historica
Excuse me for my impatience, but could somebody please give me a clue of how long it usually takes to notify winners about their prize (like when it will be shipped, etc.) and add tags to their profile? Once again, sorry for this, I do not have any experience with contests and the job of a moderator. But, you know, waiting is easier if you know when to expect the thing you are waiting for. -
Book II - Nocturnus: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Exetrius replied to ZCerberus's topic in Guilds of Historica
Farewell, Dorshov the Wizard! I hope to see you back someday, in one form or the other. Beware, if there is one thing darker than the Darklands, it would be... Dark Ages! The door to Nocturnus will always be open and don't shy away from making a new start, with a new character, if necessary. -
Just joking around with you for a little. I like the sound of "(tamtamtammm)", though! Btw, like I'm the one to talk! I just realized that up to now, not a single major character in my saga/prologue saga has been fully consistent with my guild's colours (being red, gold and black)
