Book II - Nocturnus: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Exetrius replied to ZCerberus's topic in Guilds of Historica
Thanks a lot, Z and Jacob, for making the map update happen! I hope to start building in my two settlements (Carakath and Zotharith) as soon as I can. -
Even the mini version of the robo horse looks great!

I agree! Back to the character/tribe/territory registration then? On another note, has there been any progress on the new map? -
This seems fun! I can't see the first image, though.

About the drawing: the same kid/guy gave us the first drawings of this wave's sets and if I recall correctly, they were accurate (in their vagueness) to at least some extent. Let's assume that this one is too. What I can deduce from this drawing: - The cave's rocks are Dark Tan. - It has a huge red gate. - Nya, Wu, Lloyd, Kozu, Yang, Cryptor and Pythor are included, plus Nya's Samurai X gear - It has Nya's bike - the playset has two levels - a big computer screen is present

That's a whole lot of dragons you've got there! The small wyvern is simple, but has nice shapes, it's head is surprisingly effective. The black dragon looks great, menacing! It's wings are maybe a bit too bulky, but that does give the impression that it's a very tough creature. I rather like it's rear legs and the tail. Hammerhead is definitely the best of the bunch. He looks a lot more solid than the others, especially around the waist articulation point and due to the thick neck. His wings are very neat, and the tail fin is a nice touch too. Keep up the good work!

Book II - Nocturnus: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Exetrius replied to ZCerberus's topic in Guilds of Historica
Hello guys, As you might have noticed already, I updated my signature with new(er) MOCs, but importantly, a few links at the bottom... They all lead to fun stuff I am glad to announce that I have made the Onicius prologue a lot more reader-friendly. You can now click to the next part at the bottom of every page, the images are no longer massive and I edited quite a few of them, so now they look a lot nicer as well. In short: if you haven't read it yet, you didn't know where to start, or if you simply wan't to check out what's new, just click the link! -
That would be a very nice treat. It's a little unfortunate that the tile is white instead of tan, though.

Book II - Nocturnus: Guild sign-up and Discussion

I'm not sure what you mean; our sigfigs (or secondary characters too)? And by faction, do you mean something along the lines of "the Order of [...]", "member of the [...] Alliance" and "Leader of the [...] Tribe"? I would be helpful to keep track of these for sure! -
An excellent starter MOC, I'd say (which means that I really can't' see that it's a starter's MOC)! Great use of the 1x2x4 (inverted) slopes to create an intricate back wall. Maybe you could have tiled the floor, but that's my only point of criticism. Enjoy your display piece!

I think this is a great initiative Yet, I think making sure that we have the info organized, accurate and up-to-date on Eurobricks itself should have priority, ... although the wiki may be a more practical place to work with many on the same job, I don't know about that. By the way, in my opinion, keeping the members in GoH active, rather than attracting a lot of 'one-year-stands', is more favorable. I think the wiki would boost consistency and cohesion of builds, as newer members (like me) will get a better understanding of what has been build and what can be build (also where and why).

Thanks Blufiji, that's a great deal of valuable info! I will try to keep all of this in mind when writing my saga or building with a location in mind, for the sake of consistency and compatibility. By the way, does anyone know why the voting thread for the Frozen Beyond contest suddenly disappeared? -
I wonder if the Samurai X Cave looks like anything remotely resembling this: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/106558 I kinda like the skybridge idea there

So, you take the generally accepted and appreciated rules of review-writing, chop it into pieces, mix it, add chili, throw around 84,32% of it out of the window, add tacos, stir it for about 13 hours, add fresh garden soil and, voilà..... There's your ketchup! I think that describes pretty accurately how unique your reviewing style is, fantastic entertainment! You should write books, or be a comedian, or even better: make the TLG commercial/Designer videos! Especially about the box art! I rate this review 37/100, for no apparent reason Hope to catch ya later, keep it up, please!

Book II - Nocturnus: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Exetrius replied to ZCerberus's topic in Guilds of Historica
As I think the landscape on the current map of Nocturnus is quite barren, I propose that for the updated map, a few new landscape features should be added: The forest expansion is mostly based on the builds many of us have done, but also from a realistic point of view, as mountains and swamps are rarely found directly next to each other. The addition of a volcanic belt (running from the Fallen Angel, across the Rakath mountains and ending in the swampy lowlands) is kind of necessary in my opinion, since Nocturnus is partly known for having great metal and mineral mining activities. So, I'd like to know if my fellow guild members approve of these changes. -
Awesome! NPU on the head and the body and it's rather amazing that this guy has about the right parts count for a Mixel, too!

I don't think they will stay exclusive to that particular set. On the minifig turntable at Nuremberg were two Throwback Jays, so he comes in another set in the summer wave (headwrapless, though) and Zane in his tumbler, also without headwrap. As for the others, maybe in later retailer exclusives? I think the same headwraps will be used in the next wave, so that makes for a full outfit.

Man, fantastic entries that gave me a hard time choosing! My votes: A: Captain Flint 1, soccerkid6 1, Gideon 1 B: Lord Dan 2, Gideon 1 C: Jacob Nion 2, BrickCurve 1 I know this is a matter of common sense, but isn't there supposed to be a rule that states: "You are not allowed to vote for your own entries." ?

[The Frozen Beyond - Cat. B] Nemesis of the Frozen Beyond
Exetrius replied to Exetrius's topic in Guilds of Historica
Thanks! You are indeed correct about the head. From the beginning, I have found the tattoo far cooler as a face (or some magic face seal) than the bear one. And thank you, the head was great fun to do! Thank you! (Actually, I'm not sure if this would actually qualify as a dragon; it has front arms/legs separate from the wings, but no rear legs, only a tail. Maybe some fantasy-creature-taxonomists could help me on this? ) -
A better look at Yang, the new chain ornaments and the mysterious dragon lamp:

From a Castle point of view, that set is bad, but from a sci-fi view, I think it looks really, really good! Also, the minifig selection is quite a plus too.

http://i.toynewsi.com/g/generated/2016_New_York_Toy_Fair/LEGO/2016_Toy_Fair_LEGO272__scaled_800.jpg Something I believe we haven't seen on previous photo's: a 1x2 pearl gold tile with some print or sticker on it. Man, I love this set so much! It somehow reminds me of the offroad cars in the LEGO: Drome Racers video game.

Moreover, the shield inlay itself is in Tr. Light Blue as well, which would also be a new colour for that part, plus the 2x2 dome piece in glorious Metallic Gold rather than Pearl Gold, which might be new too! So, I 'dreally, really like to know: does this event takes place in the Netherlands/Belgium and the rest of Europe? Otherwise that would suck pretty hard
