But what I guess i'm trying to say is that Lego Universe and Lego Dimensions feel completely different, I feel like people (including me) couldn't tell the difference between the two if it were to release. As for gameplay, The Universe formula was original enough compared to other Lego games. And what I mean to say is make the gameplay even more original by giving the player camera and traversal freedom. And other elements you see in adventure games, like inventories and basic stats. This would set Universe apart from the others like it did back then. And I don't believe Lego Universe really had a bunch of franchises like Lego Dimensions does. It's mostly all original characters, made specifically for this game. They just happen to be Pirates and preliminary Nexo Knights. All Lego games are basically the same. The only thing that sets apart Lego Dimensions is that multiple franchises are in the game. You seem to be saying that a huge link between Lego Universe and Lego Dimensions are it's franchises. However besides Ninjago, I don't even know if it had other franchises.

The early sets were great. I especially liked the wolf, crocodile, and raven tribes, since their faces looked less comical and more useful to apply in expressive situations. But then the show hit. The crocodile tribe is a bit dim, the ravens are high-pitched (and kinda annoying over time) thieves, and Worritz wasn't as cool as I thought he'd be. But I did like the basic minifigures from these tribes the most, Like Wakz and Winzar (who are my favorites). I did like the speedorz, and how they brightened up MOCs like bases and hangout spots. They could even be used for MOCs unrelated to Chima if you used the right one. The Outlands were okay, and I will say I wish I picked these up for the scorpion and spider figures. The scorpion vehicle was pretty neat too, but ultimately that's all I thought it was. The ice wave was a bit inconsistent, but the main sets were great, like the phoenix temple and the fire lion. The minifigures were great here, save the tiger tribe... The translucent blue limbs could be used for some futuristic or lab MOCs. I feel they did this because it was their last push for the line, so they put more effort than they usually would. I heard the last season of the show was pretty good too. I stopped at the end of the Outlands season, should I just go ahead and finish it?

Um... If the story involves Nya and Kai's parents, then... I'm pretty sure that's the time period it takes place in... And characters like Morro and Samukai are still alive in this time period. Even if they don't focus on their time period for a long time, if we see adult Kai and Nya's parents, we may have a chance of seeing Young Garmadon, Young Wu, the other masters like Jay's mom, and maybe even Clouse and Chen (although they're not really relevant). But you get the point. All these characters lived at the same time, so there is a chance they will be seen. Chances of their parents being ninja are low. In fact, I don't think anyone from the time period are ninja. Wu and Garmadon are sensei, and Morro isn't trained yet. Chen and Clouse aren't sensei or ninja either. And Sensei Wu never said anything about any of their parents being ninja, even in the books, Kai's dad is described as a hotheaded blacksmith getting into trouble.

The Billion Brick Race? I really hope that's not what the sets are called as well... It looks to be either an Adventurers or a Racers film. Also, Lego Cinematic Universe can also be shortened to LCU. I don't think that's taken.

Lego Dimensions is just any other Lego game, but with several franchises. It's like LEGO's version of Mario Party. I do believe, that Lego Universe was quite different. Just watching the gameplay it felt different. And this is coming from someone who is getting sick of the Lego formula, and I feel like gameplay like Lego Universe is what we need. Just have the original Lego Universe game, just a bit reimagined to make it more easier and interesting to play for the 4-5 hour story (or 3-4), as well as removing the real-time multiplayer. And besides, in your case, Lego Dimensions is also just Lego Universe with (major) gameplay differences. But no one calls it a rip-off.

Very nice! Quite a way to introduce yourself If you don't mind, could you also show the interior?

Drawing on paper? With enough work, it really doesn't seem like you'd need to use paper at all, but I guess I could be doing my outlines wrong too :/ If it helps, I suppose.

I've heard people talk about the series. What is the genre? Just classic action spy stuff? It sounds like an okay show, but I don't really have a reason to watch it instead of the other shows I have waiting.

[LDD][MOC] Blackstone Temple
gamejutzu replied to Red_One's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Looking back at this, There are a few nitpicks i'd have if this was turned into a real set. The stud pillars look very fragile and sensitive. And the middle area with the bed and chests is too small to realistically access. If you ever make a remake or something similar, I these are some suggestions i'd give. -
It actually looks really cool. The face quality for Zane and Nya are top notch with new faces, and i'm happy we get two normal looking face prints for Nya. What I wonder, is are we going to get any Day of The Departed sets with Morro and Samukai? Or will they just appear in the show. If the halfsies theory I heard turns out to be true, then we may never see their new revamped editions. Unless they're in Hands of Time, which would actually be possible since they were both alive in the time period the season takes place in.

How is Minifigures Online a successor to Universe? The only thing they have in common is that they're MMOs... Other than that, there's a noticeable difference in gameplay. But yeah. No matter what LEGO tries, I doubt they will ever make money off large multiplayer games, unless they're actually super fun, like REALLY fun... Like world record fun. Selling sets would only delay it's cancellation, not prevent it, and that's really the only other thing they could have done to help it. Now for the solutions. In another topic talking about Lego Universe (which is fairly recent), I learned of a server to play the old, free Lego Universe, I think you still can, but try to ask them for specifics. So if you crave the game or something you can try that. Now for what LEGO themselves can do, they can actually make and release a full game called Lego Universe. This game will not be real-time multiplayer, but instead an RPG, where you create your character with a wide array of customizations, then you go through a story involving maelstroms and stuff like that. I never played the game, but if you chose an allegiance or specialty you'll do that here. I don't think there was a main villain in the original, so I guess they can make an original villain, or use Vortech, since he fits well. In the story you will interact with older characters like the original System Ninja and Castle characters, as well as the original troop designs. But in the end you will get everyone together anyway. The story will not consist of you going through set levels, rather to locations or worlds and being able to travel back to those areas if you wanted to (unless in the story the entrance explodes and is buried by rubble or something). As for gameplay, I guess it's the original gameplay, but expanded upon due to the graphical capabilities of the new consoles and PC. I believe you could freely walk around and attack whenever you want, so I guess do that. You'll explore the main world as the hub, which would be fairly sizable and be more than just the base building. There would be dynamic environments, like purple darkness and dragons filling the sky. A friend can play with you in these levels, but they won't appear in cutscenes. Then you'd have those other worlds (excluding original franchises or including them as DLC) and maybe some original ones as well. As a new mechanic you'd either join up with the ninja, the knight, the engineer, or the pirate and get abilities, weapons, vehicles, etc. accordingly. You of course have a say in what weapons you want to have. Not to mention that after the story is over you can go Online and participate in events like Capture The Flag and other stuff that was in the Original and what would have been in the Original. And I guess they could actually make sets of it this time, since the minifigure designs would be in good quality and many would like to see it at that point.

LEGO could always go with the original Phantom Ninja, since they may also use the same hood. And besides, the canonicity of the graphic novels has already been stated.

Review: 70749 Enter the Serpent
gamejutzu replied to Gunman's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I'm not as ecstatic about this wave as well... I feel like I was more exited bout pretty much every other wave but this one. I guess I don't like the jungle tone. That is done on purpose. If you study the printing you will notice that the the red armor continues down to his arm as a sleeve. Kai in 2012 ad Jay in 2012 has the same effect as well. -
I've never really wanted to get he Minifig packs, but now I kind of want to buy 10 and hope I get the Rogue. I REALLY want that mask to be implemented in Ninjago.

Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitsu TV Show Thread
gamejutzu replied to Lance's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
Oh right, that's an episode I only saw once But yeah, it's basically decommissioned, like the Ultra Dragon and the elemental blades (actually the elemental blades are probably in the same place the titanium and golden armor is, but you get the point). I mean, it hasn't been seen for years, and it probably hasn't been getting a monthly polish. I really think that Nya will probably just pull it out of her sleeve, like she did with the bikes around Lou's place. I really hope the next season will have these little sub-plots, but held together by the main conflict between Yang and Cole, which would be clearly shown to be the central point. I'd really like that. Besides, I feel like something like that would go in a direction that we haven't seen before in Ninjago. Yeah I get that, but we may get an episode or two where we flashback to the time period of their parents. It can even be five minutes and not an episode. I'm just trying to say that Morro and Samukai lived at the same time Kai and Nya's parents did. And i'm not misinterpreting the use of "involve". I was thinking the season would switch from parents to children from time to time, keeping the flow that way. "Involve" doesn't have to be in the loose sense.- 4,591 replies

If demands get REALLY high, as well as it having a bunch of Ideas projects, we may get one official set by LEGO. But even Portal didn't get one, so I dunno about Sonic. But I would like it if it happened, since Tails isn't going to be in the game. And that probably means Knuckles will be excluded too.

Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitsu TV Show Thread
gamejutzu replied to Lance's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
Yeah but after the Ninjaball run it wasn't seen again, because only the jet was left. I'm pretty sure it will be a flashback, and halfway through the season or special, they will go back to the first scene. Especially since i'm assuming Cole is also half-ghost in the scene. And if he is, that would also mean that we get Cole as a half ghost with no explanation.- 4,591 replies

Nothing new about the movie revealed, so that's a bummer. However, in the SDCC trailer for The Lego batman Movie, there's a Ninjago cameo in the city, as well as the Jade Blade pieces being in Batman's inventory.

Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitsu TV Show Thread
gamejutzu replied to Lance's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
- I'm gonna say that the leaked image we saw of all the ninja in the Ninjago Museum of History is a real screenshot. And that's the new season rather than the one this fall. The story just involving Kai and Nya's parents seems like a missed opportunity. I feel like we'll be seeing all the relationships between the elemental masters, and even Jay's mom. Maybe even further to show the First Spinjitzu Master. - The translated season plot (still not confirmed to be actual plot) says Cole and Yang have a little game going on, and it looks like Cole is half-human. - I'm assuming Nelson is actually going to possess an element, and he may as well become a ninja. Unless "ghost", or "time" is an element, I really don't see anyone but Nelson having this new element.- 4,591 replies

A lot of people bash Sonic '06's story because they only talk about the "big" parts of the story. If you look past the discrepancies, they did the story pretty well. I also think the Storybook series is underrated, the storytelling is pretty good there. The show is eh for me. If every episode was like the first one, i'd watch it no problem. It just seems pretty boring at times. The trailer takes place in a city location. Other city locations in Sonic games are Crisis City, City Escape, Speed Highway, and Soleanna. A lot of these environments are pretty iconic if you ask me. I'd also add that the game is not a sequel (as stated in the event), but a new experience. Which means new gameplay and new levels. I'm pretty optimistic. I think it would be cool if this game had open world, but hey, if there isn't at least we have Lego Dimensions. In the Lego Dimensions trailer I recognized his dive kick from Smash and his tatsumaki senpuu kyaku spinning kick from Sonic Battle.

I know right? Not to mention that his combat is as fluid as a Ninjago character, he looks to have a double jump, and you might be able to combine the spin dash and the jump. Not to mention that it will be really easy to get Super Sonic since you only need 50 studs Also, I just noticed... His moveset is Sonic Battle and Super Smash Brothers...

My main argument for it being a form rather than a costume, is that LEGO are experts at making minifigure designs. If this was really an outfit, wouldn't we get some indication that this is one? There are no gi robes, collars, or anything else that you'd see from basic clothing. Unless this is a jumpsuit or one-piece. They really make it seem that this energy is flowing from their body, like they've transformed or something. Also, the face pieces are too weird to be a costume. But there are exceptions to this, like Cole's RX/NRG/whatever form in the summer season, since that's clearly his suit with stuff coming out.
