  1. I'm 99% sure it's Jyn Erso in her Imperial Ground Crew disguise.
  2. JANGBRiCKS just recently uploaded an early review of the AT-ST just in case anyone's interested:
  3. Disappointing as the sets themselves may be, at least they include some great minifigures and are very easy to swallow at the given price points. I didn't have high hopes for these specific sets in the first place; I think the Rogue One sets are going to be the far more exciting ones of the January wave. Hopefully those are leaked very soon.
  4. All of those look great, Atlas, especially the Imperials & Lando. I'm definitely hoping to upgrade all of my Imperial officers with Dual-Molded legs, but they seem difficult and/or expensive to get ahold of in larger quantities. I've checked Bricklink and Bricks & Pieces. Anyone have any other suggestions? EDIT: Nevermind. Bit the bullet and made the order through Bricks & Pieces.
  5. Am I missing something? J2G clearly showed in his review that there's already a perfectly functional top hatch. Why is everyone discussing adding one?
  6. Thanks for the review, J2G. I'm a little disappointed in the lack of articulation, but it's almost to be expected at this point due to what happened with the AT-DP. However, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't insanely jealous of those who have inexplicably obtained the sets this early. My local stores never have stuff this early, especially when it comes to merchandise that has a strict street date such as for Rogue Friday.
  7. At that price point, it's a no-brainer. I was expecting it to be more for whatever reason, so I'm happy. Something about Thrawn having Dark Blue hair seems really off to me, though. It always seemed closer to Black to me, but I guess Rebels changed that. Should be pretty easy to replace, fortunately enough. Same thing with adding a golden epaulette piece, assuming one isn't present on the final figure.
  8. The Revan promo seems random and definitely unexpected. It's nice, though, considering the figure is going for a ridiculous amount of money on Bricklink right now.
  9. Yeah, I sort of thought we were past all of the secrecy and censorship, especially considering the fact that the RO products were revealed officially so far in advance. Besides, it's not like any of the January sets contain major spoilers, and RO is inherently pre-spoiled due to the fact that it's a prequel anyway. At least with some of the TFA products it was understandable, but the LEGO sets were not among the products that contained sensitive information. Also, as much as I love the leaks, I do worry that they will have a negative impact on the relationship between Disney/LFL & TLG, possibly resulting in some sort of consequence that will affect the end consumers. I'm excited. It'll be the first Rebels set I purchase due to the inclusion of Thrawn.
  10. If it's anything like last year, that's doubtful. The Rogue Friday merchandise is supposed to be heavily restricted and only released on the intended date.
  11. That's your opinion and I respectfully disagree with it. As I said, I think they're great, and that includes their use as handheld minifig blasters. And again, I'd like to reiterate that they're only really included in Battlepacks. It's not like they stopped using the standard blasters altogether. I don't know about anyone else, but I have a ridiculous amount of standard blasters and I very much appreciate the new, far more functional take on the matter. Besides, one has to remember that TLG's target market is hardly ever just AFOLs. I can only imagine what it would've been like to have actual WORKING blasters as a kid. They're powerful enough to knock down minifigs and they're pretty accurate. That's honestly incredible to me and more than enough reason to include them as minifig weapons. Also, I'd like to point out that they've been getting more and more creative with their uses lately. Chewbacca's bowcaster would be one example, and adding more pieces on like in the Galactic Empire Battlepack would be another.
  12. I, for one, am glad the Battlepacks are still using stud shooters. I feel like I'm the only one who likes them and think they add incredible play value. As for aesthetic purposes, I still think they look better than some of the weapons we've had before. Does nobody remember the megaphone blasters? Stud shooters are basically a better-looking, actually functioning version of those. And I think that's great. Besides, standard blasters are included in nearly every single other set. It's not like there's a short supply of them.
  13. Just like to say that I very much appreciate this stance; obviously a thread about leaked/future merchandise is going to be inherently spoiler-ish. Others should recognize that by now. Nobody should be walking on eggshells about the Y-Wings, especially considering they've already appeared in other Rogue One media. Back on topic now, I'm very excited to see a location-based set. I was sort of hoping it'd be something based on this location, but the bunker on Scarif works for me too. I'm hoping the other included minifig is Saw Gerrera, as he seems like a relatively important character.
  14. At this rate, I'm going to have an entire squadron of Y-Wings and none of them will be the same.
  15. I don't think any of the sets are priced high enough to give us an AT-ACT or a Star Destroyer, and I really don't think that they'd put ANOTHER X-Wing on the shelves so soon. I'm thinking/hoping that they'll be location-based sets, much like Battle On Takodana or Encounter On Jakku.
  16. The price you have listed for the TIE Striker is incorrect; it's still $70. Just checked. They usually have new sets in time for the release day, at least in my experience. I'd call ahead and ask just to be sure.
  17. I'm very impressed with the way Krennic's Shuttle opens up, didn't expect anything quite like that. The interior is great and looks to have a decent amount of space for minifigs and weapon storage. Makes me even more excited for the set than I already was!
  18. Pretty crazy that they're already releasing the product animations. Huge change of pace/attitude from last year.
  19. All official material states that his rank is Director, as far as I'm aware.
  20. That's... really impressive actually. I'm a bit confused as to why they can do something like that but still won't give SW figs dual-molded legs, though.
  21. That was my first thought, as well. Although, I will say that the TIE Fighters seem to be incredibly overpriced every single time. I wonder why that is.
  22. We now have confirmation from the Brickset article that Krennic's Shuttle will have enough interior space to fit the Death Troopers. I'm imagining it'll be similar to 75094 in that regard. Maybe we'll get some more images soon.
  23. That's awesome and rather unexpected. I'm assuming you'll be able to get a minifig in that space even if it doesn't look the best.
  24. The sets won't be released or even officially revealed until September 30th, so I'd expect proper reviews shortly after then. The earliest "reviews" we got for the TFA sets last year were pretty lackluster.
  25. It's September 30th for the Rogue One sets. "Rogue Friday," as it's called.
