They do it for sets that sell well. I doubt they care about improving sets as much as they say "Hey, a new Falcon will make us a lot of money". That's why a lot of these wishlists are just awful; they aren't going to take huge risks making very specific scenes from CW.

I know this is a long shot, but is there any chance you could upload a part list...or instructions...or more close up pictures? I REALLY want to recreate this as I desperately want an Executor but don't have the income to order parts just to see if things will work or not.

Since you didn't mention price, I'm going to have to recommend the Death Star. Best SW set there is, and possibly being discontinued soon.

Usually the shelf life is around two years, but no one can say for sure. It's a great set, especially for display purposes, and will likely not be remade for another 10 years when it's gone.

Always need some criticism for improvement, a big reason why EB is the best. If you want a great MOC LonelySquire I'd follow all of Fallenangel's points, especially because he has a lot of experience with a similar ship in the X-wing.

Needs to be longer in the back, and the front needs to slant at the angle of the cockpit. I don't mind the stud look as long as it's common throughout the MOC. It's a good first effort.

Right, but shouldn't we pick scenes that have even a small chance of being made though?

MOD: General “Luminous Qymaen” Grievous

Looks good, but what does it look like with the lights on? -
You aren't by chance referring to the Death Star ornament are you? These are really good though, not for a 6 year old but for any age. My one suggestion would to make the rear of the Naboo fighter a stud longer in the back so you could move the cockpit back a stud. The cockpit is more towards the rear of the ship then the middle in relation to the wings.

I find it odd that they would show updated minifigs from the summer sets yet still leave on Luke's current hair piece. If he's getting a new one from what everyone is saying, why wouldn't they show that on the book yet update all the other minifigs?

I can accept that they waited seven years to update the Falcon (mainly because the UCS set filled the gap). It's one of those ships that TLG would be dumb not to remake every 3-4 years because it's guaranteed to sell well. Other less iconic ships, not so much. As for the X-Wing, I'm not sure why it's never left shelves. It's still one of the better deals though for anyone entering Lego SW. -
If we had to get a new C3P0 then an Episode 1 version with his circuits showing would be pretty cool. Personally I want that little laughing rat that sits by Jabba.
-
Sometimes the blue lightsaber is so light it almost looks white. Fact is, it all depends on which scene you're talking about for the lightsaber colors. Only in the prequels did the colors stay relatively consistent. I personally don't want new colors, it would make the many lightsabers I already have obsolete.

I don't think TLG can make a ghost figure if they wanted to due to the problems with the plastic quality. I'm pretty sure they've discussed this before.

Please, no more Slave 1's for a while. We have FOUR of them already. Have we ever had a set with hallways? I'm thinking we'll get a small medical bay along with a remake of the old version of this set. I'd love to get an injured Luke and the major/general; guess we'll see.

This review needs to mention that the V-Wing should NOT have an R2 unit in it and only the dome of the droid is put on the ship instead of the entire droid.

I wouldn't say there's hate over rehashes in general, just hate against certain rehashes. If they came out with a new Cloud City or Jabba's Palace I don't think you'd hear much complaining. A lot of it is just "They chose THAT to remake?" There are a lot of ships that haven't been touched either so when they remake something it needs to be a set that is desperate for one, not one that's been out in the last 5 years. For instance, while I bought the newest AT-AT, we didn't really need one so soon. The motorized version is still at the LEGO store in my area as we speak. The new Slave 1 was also too soon. That's just my opinion on it. -
Which is your favourite upcoming Lego minifigure in 2011?

Where is Logray? He's the best. -
TLG tries to sell EU sets but they all sell horribly, so naturally they rarely make them. I wish they'd give a ship like the Outrider a chance before they stop EU sets altogether.

Could you upload a close up shot of your Endor setup? I like those trees for a potential MOC, they look easy to build. Also, what are you using for your Hoth ground? Are those multiple plates or do you just have a very large baseplate? -

I love that you removed the blue from the TIE Fighter and TIE Interceptor; they look great that way. That's something I'll need to do pretty soon as my patience for a remake is up. -
A rebel would be nice. I've given up on Stormtroopers in these sets; I figure that TLG thinks that Stormtroopers can be acquired in other sets, and Endor sets are their only way to deal out Scout troopers. As for rebel Luke, unless the set is about the speeder bike chase, the Ewok capture, or the much needed Ewok village we will never see him. I'm happy we're getting a black Ewok and I like they're at least attempting a different trap then the standard catapult which failed miserably in the movie. This as a standalone set is pretty bad, it needs to be added to the Battle of Endor set. As for the AT-AT, if anyone would bother to look at the model used in the movie, this is the most accurate AT-AT TLG has made so far. The AT-AT is supposed to have a hump, and the head is the best one they've made by far.

Right, but if we all said "Wow, these all look great!" then they might consider not changing anything. By complaining we might possibly be changing things.
-
Could some of the designers read what people think about the sets? I'm just saying that by complaining about certain aspects of a set that they may go "well, that's true, we should fix that". Just a thought.

Any reason why the reported Hoth Rebel Base and Naboo N-1 didn't appear in the catalog? Any news on when we normally hear about the UCS set(s) for the year?
