  1. Ooh ooh I know what it does! It creeps out Octan and Kawashita troops! They go to blow it up, but then we come in from the back! Cool looking thing whatever it is
  2. Thanks all! I had a lot of fun with this one!
  3. Really cool subturtle! I like the use of the blue for the trees. The more cameras the better right?!
  4. Location: F03 Forring Tags: MANTIS, spying Double D's log 28: I've been sent to Forring again, but this time to head inside a few of Octan's buildings to see if I could gather any information from their computers. Getting in was easy enough with Wheelie, my trusty robot. Once inside, I found an employee's computer that was still on, and from there I was able to find out Octan's next few planet targets...I downloaded the information to my device and zoomed out of there on the dragster that I tested out last week. ~ DD out
  5. Or we could just research the hyperdrive tech! The ability to move your fleet through 2 gates!
  6. I just love the use of those giant tire things for the rocky coral look. The layering is just awesome! Very well done!
  7. Location: H03 Kaalin Tags: MANTIS, land vehicle Double D's log 27: After last weeks mirage, I seem to be mostly normal. I still can't remember what happened several weeks ago, but at least I don't think I'm seeing things. I get to test out a new, very fast, MANTIS vehicle - a dragster really. It can either be used as an escape vehicle, or transport materials across a landscape quickly.....that is, if the landscape is very flat....it doesn't turn well. Watch the video! https://www.flickr.c...ductions/52x46H ~ DD out ------------------------------------ Yup! I built a rubber band powered car! One of my cousins was over and she had a school project to build a rubber band powered car. Of course, I had to quick build one from LEGO bricks! I spent more time on getting it to go far than making it look all fancy. There's always next time right? Unfortunately my cousin couldn't use LEGO bricks to build the car, but that didn't stop me from building one! There were several variables that affect how rubber band powered cars function that I hadn't really thought about till I started building this. After a bunch of tests and modifications, this sized dragster goes around 25 feet with 8 full rotations of the rubber band. The measuring tape in the video is set to 22 feet (~ 6.7 meters). If we had a longer hallway it would probably just pass 25 feet with the 8 rotations. I hope to do this again sometime in the future; it was a blast! Yeah yeah, the rubber band isn't LEGO, but if I were to use my LEGO rubber bands, they would have been ruined
  8. I'd like to transfer 185 credits to Vedauwoo.
  9. Man, that would have been the perfect title! I'll see if it can get changed to that. Thanks!
  10. That landship is awesome! It's design is really neat, especially the curved backside. I like your figs the best.
  11. Too cool! Really nice design.
  12. Ooh, that's really nice! Great shaping for the airship!
  13. Sweet airship! The mechanism in the back of the plant there looks great!

  20. Location: C06 Hyreal Tags: MANTIS, land vehicle, spying Double D's log 27: I must be going crazy. First I forget all of what happened in two weeks aside from a strange relic thing, and now I feel like I'm back in time, but in the future...sort of? All I know is my mission: to continue punching holes in Kawashita's barrels that hold water for their experimental hydraulic plants here on Hyreal. The barrels were the ones being extracted from Kawashita's extraction and purification plants. It seems that Kawashita decided to spread out its merchandise so that they wouldn't have single-point targets. The hovercraft, which my friend accurately called the 'hoverchair,' that I get to use kind of bounces as it moves, and it turns in a drift-like motion. It took a while to get used to, but it's now natural, and even quite fun to drive! It is much faster than any steam powered ground vehicle, and the uneven landscape didn't cause any trouble but rather made my getaways a snap! Kawashita uses landships which are far too slow to catch up to my advanced, one-person hoverchair. Once I spotted a tank, I was out and away, leaving a bunch of empty barrels behind me. Thankfully, the MANTIS™ Spyglass© really made spotting Kawashitan equipment easy as it made anything red stand out from the other colors. In fact, depending on the angle of the crystal, the spyglass could highlight most ranges of color - a real breakthrough in spying technology! I was also equipped with a sweet pistol that shot extra-large lead bullets which were perfect for making holes in all of Kawashita's barrels ~ DD out
  21. Location: F03, Forring Tags: MANTIS, spying, land vehicle Double D's log 26: The last few weeks were a blur, but all I could remember was diving, some sort of amazing room, and then I remember appearing back at the MANTIS base.... Must have hit my head or something. Anyway, I was sent to F03 on a spying mission. Apparently Octan started some subtle operations on E01, so I was to see if I could gather any clues from Octan. I was to hack into their speeder computer systems so that we could get inside one of the Octan buildings with the security code. It took a long time to set up a signal that could capture the signals what the Octan speeders were sending. I had to get very close to the zooming speeders to catch a glimpse of a signal and then after a dozen or more speeder scans, I could piece together the signals into one code block that would open up gates and doors to Octan buildings. I liked their speeders...a lot....but I didn't let myself get too distracted from the mission. It only took 5 hours to copy the signal. Sure, I normally get things like this done in an hour, but those speeders......so sleek.... so.... fast! I need one. ~DD out
  22. I'd like to transfer 86 credits to Hawk.
  23. Location: B06, Sorn Tag: MANTIS Double D's log 24: After staring at the relic for some time, I seemed to have suddenly appeared in the hall again somewhere near room 520, not 487 where the relic was. I quickly pulled out my pistol and upon hearing a voice behind me, I whirled around and shot...only to find that my weapon was inoperable! The creature before me was short in stature, and it had a curious and inquisitive face. It felt like it was looking into my mind, which was creepy. "Do not be alarmed, you'll be safe with us...Dave Daring." It was then that I realized my communication system was missing... ~ DD out To be continued!
  24. Lots of cool details here, I like the clothes hanging up and all of the gear to buy.
