Jedi Master DarkFang versus Jedi Master Ber'Gin'yon Torg'h, DUEL II... winner through to the Final Confrontation: Ber'Gin'Yon Torg'h. Round 3 Darkfang | 3 Ber'Gin'Yon Torg'h | 3 Low - 1 Mid - 0 Sabre Flurry / Mid - 0 Sabre Throw - 1 High - 0 High - 0 Force Push - 0 Sabre Flurry / High - 0 Mid - 0 Low - 1 Health: 1 Health: 2 Battered and bruised but as focused as ever, the Jedi battle on in the unforgiving elements. Darkfang deftly slashes Ber'Gin'Yon across his legs; singed, the Jedi Master pulls back but immediately counters, guiding his lightsabre forward in a blazing torrent of light. The Jedi clash blades and for a split second are framed in strobing red and blue light as their lightsabres crackle loudly. The moment gone, a brief exchange and Torg'h siezes an opportunity, sweeping his opponent off his feet. Darkfang hits the ground hard, dazed. Ber'Gin'Yon approaches him silently, the tip of his sabre held out towards him. Darkfang composes himself... and returns his rival's smile. Congratualtions Walter you are through to the Final Confrontation! An awesome final duel for you WhiteFang, but destiny has other plans. It looks like we have our final 2 champions. I'll update the tournament table tomorrow, 'til then, meditate on the coming duel! -
Hey, It doesn't matter if you've played ot not, I'd like to hear from everyone and all feedback is very much appreciated. As you might know (or not!) I introduced Jedi Duel at the beginning of the year. I wanted to create a forum game which anyone could join at any time and could be played quickly; players create their own characters using LEGO which get progressively better as they play. Most of all, I wanted it to be FUN! I tested it out first amongst a group of my friends (with some great results) and then launched it exclusively on Eurobricks where it was initially very popular. As the Chosen One tournament approaches it’s ultimate conclusion and the Dueling Thread sleeps, I thought I’d take this opportunity to reflect and ask you what you think or thought of Jedi Duel. There’s a brief poll above and some general questions below - you can be as comprehemnsive as you like. Looking at what you tell me I can refine Jedi Duel by better addressing what you've got out or would like to get out of the experience. Then when I come to write v2 or any other future games I can gear them more towards players and make them more FUN! Jedi Duel Questions (also see poll above) Do you play Jedi Duel? If you’ve not played Jedi Duel before, what would encourage you to play? What do you like most about Jedi Duel? What do you like least about Jedi Duel? What do you think would make Jedi Duel better? Any extra thoughts or suggestions? ...discuss. Incidentally, if you've not read the rules and would like to, you'll find them here. Thanks in advance!

Jedi Master DarkFang versus Jedi Master Ber'Gin'yon Torg'h, DUEL II... Round 2 Darkfang | 4 Ber'Gin'Yon Torg'h | 4 Mid - 0 Mid - 0 Sabre Flurry / High - 0 Sabre Throw - 1 Force Push - 0 High - 0 Mid - 1 Sabre Flurry / High - 0 Low - 0 Low - 0 Health: 3 Health: 3 The high winds continue to whip at the Jedis' clothes, but they are undetered, slicing and parrying, lightsabres thrumming and crackling. Ber'Gin'Yon throws his blade in a deceptive arc, catching Darkfang unaware. But as he moves to snare his opponent in a series of deft sabre swings, Darkfang makes a calculated thrust with his blade under Torg's defenses, causing him to reel backward. They regain composure almost instantaneaously and launch into assault again... Please send your Duel Sequence for round 3. -

Jedi Master Jim Butcher versus Sith Lord Dar'vole'e, DUEL II... winner through to the Final Confrontation: Jim Butcher. Round 3 Jim Butcher | 4 Dar'vole'e | 3 Low - 0 Force Push - 0 Mid - 0 Parry - 0 Sabre Throw - 0 Force Lightning - 0 Force Push - 0 Low - 0 Low - 1 Mid - 0 Health: 4 Health: 2 Jim and Dar'vole'e's duel reaches new fervour, the Masters' blades crashing together, Force energy radiating around them and pulverising their surroundings. Dar'vole'e reaches out with forks of deadly Force lightning - Jim counters, throwing his lightsabre into the maelstrom. A Force Push from the Jedi stops a sinister strike from Dar'vole' but as he aims to strike again Jim Butcher finds an opening, grievously slicing the Sith Lord. Furious at this turn of events but in incredible pain, Dar'vole'e sends a signal to his hidden speeder. Using his last ounce of strength he leaps aboard the flying vehicle. Jim launches himself in pursuit, but as it gains altitude he can no longer keep up. The Sith Lord has escaped. Jim Butcher has rid the galaxy of a malignant force but for how long none can say... but surely he'll think twice before underestimating Jim's power again! Congratulations Jim, you are through to the Final Confrontation! An exciting and well played round, well done on getting this far filip. -

No, you're absolutely right. Normally I double check everything, but wee mistakes can still happen. It's usually down to me updating a couple of duels simultaneously and copying the wrong info to the wrong place. Fortunately, in this instance it didn't affect the outcome of the duel. And no worries, there's been no rule changes: Force Push is a Parry breaker still! -
Jedi Master Taran Crax versus Jedi Initiate Mistotar Typha, DUEL I... winner: Taran Crax. Round 2 Taran Crax | 5 Mistotar Typha | 2 Sabre Flury / Mid - 2 High - 0 High - 0 Parry - 0 Throw - 1 Kick - 0 Force Push- 0 Sabre Throw - 0 Mid - 0 Parry - 0 Health: 5 Health: 0 Mistotar Typha launches himself into the air, bringing his lightsabre down to bare on the Master. But his manuever is predictable and Taran sets the air around him aglow with his blazing sabre, catching the Initiate completely defenseless and bringing him down hard. The Master extinguishes his lightsabre as the Initiate, lesson learned, composes himself and humbly bows... Well played sok117, though you did have the upper hand somewhat being a Jedi Master! Minxter, you did well to make it to round 2 at all so nicely done. Good to have a non-tourny duel after all this time.

How long can they sustain this level of punishment?! Send your Duel Sequence for round 3! -

Impressivley, the Jedi Initiate parries a powerful lightsabre throw, but Mistotar is on his back foot with still a long way to go... Send your Duel Sequence for round 2 whenever you're ready.

Many thansk for the review parchioso, looks like a great package to pick up. It's not available here juust yet but it's very reasonably priced for pre-order so I may well just go ahead. I'm interested to try my hand at building alternates with this, I'm be keen to see what others can do with these parts too. I was totally unfamiliar with too so thanks for drawing my attention to it! Certainly looks very useful.

Eurobricks Collectable LEGO Minifigures Series 2 Building Contest
pedro replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Great to see another collectibe minifig themed competition, I really enjoyed looking at the entries for the last competition. If I have time, I might try my hand at this. I don't own any minifigs from the first series yet though I'm sure I could get my hands on one or two or find a suitable stand-in. Good luck everyone! -

Jedi Master DarkFang versus Jedi Master Ber'Gin'yon Torg'h, DUEL I... winner: Ber'Gin'Yon Torg'h. Round 2 Darkfang | 2 Ber'Gin'Yon Torg'h | 5 Force Push - 0 Low - 0 Mid - 0 Low - 1 Low - 0 High - 1 Sabre Flurry / Mid - 0 Sabre Throw - 1 Mid - 0 Sabre Flurry / High - 0 Health: 0 Health: 5 Jedi Masters clash again, walls of force smashing together. Wielder his blade with expert dexterity, DarkFang performs a series of lightning-fast sweeps and thrusts; but Ber'Gin'Yon has the measure of his opponent, finding the slightest gaps in the Jedi's patterns and striking at the precise time. DarkFang can do nothing to stop the inveitbale. Bested, he must accept defeat... for now! Well done Walter. Unlucky WhiteFang, but you're still very much in the game! Send your Duel Sequence for your second duel whenever you're ready. Sorry Magma, I gave a decent amount of notice to everyone and plenty of time for response before starting stage III. You didn't get back soon enough so in the interests of continuing the tournament I had to find a replacement, in this case your last opponent. Hope you understand. -
Amazing work Anio. I'm sure many here would give a body part to own that model! It should serve as inspiration to LEGO's designers if they ever decidee to make a version themselves. Look forward to seeing your next project.

Thanks for the review SuperChris. This looks like a great wee set moreso because of the superb selcetion of minifigs. For that reason I prefer this over the original as I think neither sets Quidditch goals are particularly up to much and best given the MOC treatment. I found previous Harry Potter sets invaluable for my MOCs and it looks like these won't be an exception. Obviously there's lots of new potential for Harry Potter MOCs too!

I'm not sure how soon I'll be able run another tournament with a baby on the way but that shouldn't stop anyone else from running a tournament if they want to. All the rules are here on EB and I'm happy for anyone to run their own contest or even use the combat system to enhance any of their RPG's. There's many players who are familiar with JD and there might be more who are willing to play. I think my next plan for Jedi Duel is v2.0... in between baby-feeds. -
No it's the same torso as the Death Star Trooper. Juno's torso has her rank badge and the seams of her tunic curve inwards with her 'waist'. Take a look here. The Imperial Pilot is just buff!

And so it shall... Jedi Master DarkFang versus Jedi Master Ber'Gin'yon Torg'h, DUEL I... Round 1 Darkfang | 5 Ber'Gin'Yon Torg'h | 5 High - 0 Sabre Throw - 1 Sabre Flurry / Mid - 0 Low - 1 Force Push - 0 Sabre Flurry / Low - 0 Low - 0 High - 1 Mid - 0 Mid - 0 Health: 2 Health: 5 Stage III is underway! Ber'Gin'Yon Torg'h returns from the edge of the abyss to face the powerful Jedi Master DarkFang. Who knows what dire circumstances has led these powerful wielders of the Force to face each other in melee combat but face each other they must. Igniting lightsabres the Jedi aim calculated strikes against each other, clashing blades casting blue and red across the landscape. DarkFang flies into the air, striking downwards with his sabre but Ber'Gin'Yon throws his blade, guiding it with the Force and striking his adversary in mid-air. Weakened, DarkFang tries to retaliate, but Torg'h has gained the advantage, catching the other Jedi Master in a hail of deadly attacks. The duel is not yet over, but recovering, Master DarkFang realises he may very well have met his match. Ber'Gin'Yon grips the hilt of his lightsabre tighter and perpare to attack again... Exciting stuff! Duel Sequence for round 2 whenever you're ready.
