Aye, regardless of whether a player loses in the first few actions it's only fair that the Adjudicator posts the whole round. That's how it is. EDIT: Duel Sequence sent (it's a close one!).
-
There's only 3 actions in the duels sequences here? There should be 5.
-
No worries I understand completely. There's enough narrative there to give some flavour! I've sent my second DS... let's see how Olo fairs against that!
-
Apologies for the delay, DS sent!

Harry Potter: Wizard's Duel - Introduction & Discussion
pedro replied to ADHO15's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
You can make your character from any parts in your LEGO collection. If everyone is online and responding quickly, there's no reason a duel can't be fought in half an hour or even less. I like to flavour a duel with some narrative but that isn't necessary if you'd rather just cut to the chase. -

~ Skylar Cicso versus Frankfurt Flashburn. Skylar Cisco WINS! Round 2 Skylar Cisco | 4 Frankfurt Flashburn | 2 High ~ 1 Low ~ 0 Low ~ 0 High ~ 1 Low ~ 1 Mid ~ 0 Mid ~ 0 Mid ~ 0 Protego! ~ 0 Low ~ 0 Health: 3 Health: 0 Skylar ran towards Frankfurt in a vicious rage, thrusting his wand towards the Hufflepuff and spraying a sickly green, viscous liquid from the tip, the sticky jelly covering Flashburn's face. Frankfurt desparately tried to pull the sticky mask away, wildly aiming a spell at Cisco which by sheer luck flipped the Ravenclaw into the air. But Skylar quickly recoverd, uttering a command that blasted Flashburn down the corridor, crumpling against the wall at the end. The Hufflepuff slmuped to the ground, beaten and bruised. Skylar calmly walked up the deserted corridor, coming to a stand-still above Frankfurt. A mean smile stretched across his face, "Oblivisci..." Well done Skylar, a commanding win! Not so fortunate Cornelius but there's many more Wizard's Duels to be had. On a side note, in HP: WD you must win a number of duels equivalent to the next rank to progress. In this instance cralegoboy, you'll need to win one more duel to make Practitioner. -
Jedi Master Taran Crax versus Jedi Youngling Hans Olo... winnner: Taran Crax. Round 3 Taran Crax | 3 Hans Olo | 3 Sabre Flurry / Mid - 0 Parry - 0 Low - 1 Mid - 0 Saber Throw - 1 Low - 0 Force Push - 1 Parry - 0 Mid - 0 Parry - 0 Health: 3 Health: 0 Lightsabers thrum as the Jedi circle each other, looking for an opening in their opponents's defenses. Master Crax suddenly flies towards the youngling with a tyrade of saber strikes; Olo holds his ground, his blade deflect each and every blow. Taking advantage of Han's rigid stance, Crax quickly drops low, deftly sweeeping the youngling's legs out from under him. Hans hits the ground hard and tries to recover but Master Taran's lighsaber flies through the air towards him ctaching him unguarded. Dazed, the youngling mis-times a parry as Crax pins him against the wall with the Force. Master Crax releases the youngling, who drops softly to the floor. "Well fought, young Olo." remarks the master. "But you lack technique..." Conratualtions sok117. Brilliantly played Legonater... but maybe a few games against other younglings will help you gain some ranks!

~ Skylar Cicso versus Frankfurt Flashburn Round 1 Skylar Cisco | 5 Frankfurt Flashburn | 5 High ~ 1 Low ~ 0 Low ~ 1 Mid ~ 0 Protego! ~ 0 High ~ 0 Mid ~ 1 High ~ 0 Silencio! ~ 0 Mid ~ 1 Health: 4 Health: 2 Confronted by Frankfurt Flashburn with allegations of treachery, Skylar Cisco moved with the speed of a viper, drawing his wand and launching a sparking bolt at Frankfurt's hat, burning the fibres and causing it to smoke profusely. Stunned with this sudden attack, the Hufflepuff student struggled to draw his wand as Cisco, laughing, fired another bolt, this time hitting Flashbang's feet. Frankfurt hopped from foot to foot, smoke coiling from his melting shoes as he finally freed his wand and launched a flickering bolt of light at Skylar. "Protego!" commanded the Ravenclaw, causing the bolt to ricochet into a nearby display of armour, the pieces falling to the ground with a crash and clatter. Skylar uttered a command and Frankfurt's tie began to shrink, tightening around the students neck, constricting him. "Silencio!" shouted Cicso, seeking to prevent the Hufflepuff's escape from this pickle - but a moment too late; Frakfurt quickly rolled away, freeing himself of his tie and firing a streak of lightning from the tip of his wand, blating Skylar off his feet and smashing into the wall behind. Flashburn gets to his feet, wand gripped tightly, as the Ravenclaw student climbs to his feet, dazed, but with a dark expression forming across his face... The excitement builds! Please send your Duel Sequences for Round 2. -

Taran's experience shows as he catches the youngling with a counter maneuver. Hans staggers back, composing himself, and quickly must deflect the Jedi Master's flying lightsaber blade. He charges forwards but it forced by by a wall of energy. Crax launches a series of lightning-fast strikes against the youngling, but Olo holds ground, parrying each incoming attack. Again, he suddenly sees an opening in the Master comes into attack, striking Taran in his exposed midriff. Master Crax cannot help but be impressed by this youngling... Of course you can! Send your Duel Sequences to me when you're ready. Please note your charcater names and rival in your message so I don't get confuzzle-fied! -
Just wanted to point out a wee mistake: both younglings should have 4 health! Parama's 4th attack, HIGH, beats Zerb's LOW. You've assigned the damage to the wrong Jedi KDM!

No, you're free to join and participate at any time. Best to get involved before everyone becomes Aurors/Death Eaters though! It's up to you - I personally think it looks cool to see the characters in some kind of scene/vignette. -
Sith Acolyte Darth Aiklimacz versus Jedi Youngling Parama Jandu... winner: Darth Aiklimacz. Round 3 Darth Aiklimacz | 3 Parama Jandu | 1 Low - 0 Parry - 0 Force Lightning - 0 Parry - 0 Low - 0 Low - 0 Mid - 1 High - 0 High - 0 High - 0 Health: 3 Health: 0 Some of the braver little inhabitants hide within the remnants or thier domiciles, seeking to gain better vantage over the battle taking place where once it was peaceful. Parts of their village have been completely destroyed, fires breaking out amongst some of the smashed structures. This creature has brought death to their home. This Jedi has come to deliver them from evil. Anxiously they pray for it's victory... Parama Jandu's lightsaber shudders and sparks as, backed against a splintered tree-stump, Aiklimacz smashes her saber against it again and again. They try to outmaneuver each other, gain a foot hold, all the while still furiously attacking, vehemently defending. Jandu swings his blade in the air in attempt to bring it down on his opponent, but the White Sith thrusts her lightsaber into his torso with one hand, grievously injuring the youngling. Parama feebly swings his lightsaber at the Sith, who easily counter, before falling into a pile on the ground, beaten, his tunic torn and singed. Laughing, the White Sith turns and walks towards the remaining villagers, the fires behind her casting her dark shadow across them... Congratulations KDM! You have gained a rank and are now a Sith Apprentice. Well played cralegoboy, those parries worked really well but you were less lucky on some of those other actions. Better luck next time!

Harry Potter: Wizard's Duel - Introduction & Discussion
pedro replied to ADHO15's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
There's many Harry Potter fans on Eurobricks, ADHO and I included! We both thought that a version of Jedi Duel set in the Harry Potter universe would be fun and hopefully other Potter fans will feel the same. It is essentially the same game system but with a Harry Potter spin and a couple of small changes to the rules but as always there's a lot of scope for everyone to create some wild and wondrful characters and have fun! -
They look great, simple yet effective. Nice one!

New Lego Exclusive 10217 Harry Potter Diagon Alley

O RLY? Need to get with the times! You refer to to amazing edifices and that they are, one of the reasons most are very excited about this set. Sure, Borgin & Burkes could do with a counter, shelves, a couple of armchairs, etc. but you can always add extra detail yourself to a level you're satisfied with. 'tis the wonder of LEGO! I think the minifig choice is a good one, covering bases with Harry and co. but throwing in the likes of Ollivander, Fred and George. The set seems to sit just as a general Diagon Alley set-piece rather than be related to any particular film. I like to think that they'll add to this set in due course with such locations as the Leaky Cauldron and Weasleys's Wizard Wheezes. MMV is such a lovely set... this set definately has the same sparkle! -
Jedi Master Taran Crax versus Jedi Youngling Hans Olo... Round 1 Taran Crax | 5 Hans Olo | 5 High - 1 High - 0 Force Push - 0 Low - 0 Sabre Throw - 0 Parry - 0 Sabre Flurry / High - 0 Parry - 0 High - 0 Medium - 1 Health: 4 Health: 4 In a darkened chamber high in the Jedi Temple, Jedi youngling Hans Olo has come before Taran Crax seeking his tutelage. Master and youngling ignite thier lightsabres, the light reflecting off the carved ceramic walls... Hans Olo strikes high with his saber but immediately finds it countered, his blade rebounding with a force that knocks him to the floor. The young Jedi regains his footing and moves to attack but Taran Crax holds him at bay with a wall of Force. The Master launches a series of lightsaber attacks at the youngling, but Olo holds his ground, analysing and parrying the Masters blows. Through the swirling melee, he sees and opening and lunges, catching Master Crax off guard. Crax smiles, spins circles with his blade and settles into a poised stance. Gripping his saber tightly, Hans prepares to fight again. Please send your Duel Sequence for round 2!

Sith Acolyte Darth Aiklimacz versus Jedi Youngling Parama Jandu... Round 2 Darth Aiklimacz | 5 Parama Jandu | 5 Force Lightning - 0 Parry - 0 Low - 1 Kick - 0 Mid - 0 Parry - 0 High - 0 High - 0 Mid - 0 Low - 1 Health: 3 Health: 1 The forest is eerily quiet all around but for the sound of crashing lightsabers and cries of struggle. The once peaceful, tribal village has been ransacked as the young Jedi and Sith continue to battle to and fro, attempting to gain the upper-hand over one another. Darth Aiklmacz thrusts her hand towards Jandu, lightning arcing from her fingertips; but Parama holds forth his lightssaber, absorbing the dark energy. Braced against this powerful attack, the Sith quickly spins and sweeps his legs from him again, but he recovers quickly this time, parrying her next blow. They strikes at each other again, this time Jandu sees his opportunity, catching Sith's leg and throwing her to the ground... but too soon Aiklmacz is on her feet again. Parama holds his blade aloft as White Sith as she rushes towards him... Send your DS for round 3 when you're ready.

Thanks Matn. What s stunning set! Those buildings are just beautifully crafted, and there's so many subtle details and touches. More superb minifigs from the Harry potter line too. Ridged round bricks?! I've never seen them before, a staple of Greek/Roman architecture and likely to appear in other sets. Harry Potter fans (myself included!) will surely fall in love with this. -
Sith Acolyte Darth Aiklimacz versus Jedi Youngling Parama Jandu... Round 1 Darth Aiklimacz | 5 Parama Jandu | 5 Low - 0 High - 1 Force Lightning - 1 High - 0 High - 1 Low - 0 Low - 1 Mid - 0 Mid - 0 Parry - 0 Health: 4 Health: 2 Paramu Jandu seeks to earn the council's respect and has confronted the vicious Sith, Darth Aiklimacz, on the verdant forest-world Myrika. The local beings scatter in fear as the two approach each other in the centre of a primitive village, lightsabers burning brightly. Knowing not to underestimate the Sith, Paramu launches himself into the air, lightsaber slicing down upon his adversary. Aiklmacz is taken aback back, but with a roar of anger she retlaitaes, scourging the youngling with crackling tendrils of Force lightning. Stunned, the young Jedi tries to retaliate but the White Sith leaps into the air, striking Paramu as she descends, landing and immediately sweeping his legs taking him off his feet. Despite being bloodied and dazed, Paramu parries a further attack from the Sith but his strength is waning... Darth Aiklimacz grins wickedly as she prepares her next onslaught. Send your Duel Sequence for round 2 when you're ready!

It'd drive me nuts if I got one of these... at least for as long as it took TLC to send me my replacement. ...and that's just plain unlucky! Ultimately, for a set in this price range this should've been a printed element but keep on at TLC. If they keep sendign you 'whites' just keep on at them. I'm sure they'll realise their own mistake and rectify it soon enough.
