Nice one! Looks like it is working great! But do the worm gear and 8t gear keep ticking/grinding at full travel? I 've been looking for something like this.. I just made my own auto valve pump yesterday, like so: But it is not anywhere near as compact as yours.

(using the price-money from Lego competition I won ) After the years and quite a few siblings in my family, I still got some parts of it

Same here The reviews are very good and an excellent source if planning on buying something. I agree with your opinion, this is a very good set. I picked up mine (together with the combine (8274)) for about €70, second hand. The tractor operates the right way, is good looking and has some neat functions. The swing axle, on/off PTO clutch. Also the cutter itself is truly very nice; the way it turns on/off by moving the sides up and down, is simple but very effective. The set has some very nice, handy "thingies". And these are just the features I like best in a set and/or building a set. The sort of thing one can combine/use in one 's own MOC. A well, great review! Keep em comimg

What a nice MOC this is indeed! It looks quite simple but it its design surely is not! I think you spend hours on perfecting the looks. Sweet details ;) I could not figure out how you made up the front wheels. Mind telling?

I restarted approx 2 years ago. These are my sets + "some" loose parts.. Only 4 sets in a 'build state' right now. The rest is in 4 big boxes (crates?), all parts neatly sorted in separate boxes.

I build the 8043 at least 9 times. Where I only used the new pieces from the box the very 1st time. All the other builds I used the -fairly used- pieces in my collection. Also different motors and receivers. I never had any problem with it. Well that is to say, I did, but when it ran not quite as it should .. this was due to my own faults/mistakes in the building process. Well. This is a fairly long way to suggest that you perhaps did make a mistake somewhere.. Not to criticise, as you say you are an advanced builder, but.. well erm..the times my models where faulty, I done it myself It could also be one of your motors/receivers is buggy, but this can be tested easily enough.
