    There was a time that there were cattle cars in the USA. They moved the cattle from the mid west to places like Chicago for processing. But yes. A cattle car in modern times is as dumb or dumber than a full helicopter on a flat bed. Why not have another tanker car or a nice open gondola or a realistic box car.

    I will support trains by buying the parts i want off ebay. I dont like euro trains and the rail cars are stupid. The last one in the line does look nice. The ore crane looks nice as well. I would rather buy more 60052 and pass on this one

    Why not put the battery and reciver in a tender or car behind the engine

    I finally got the parts to finish my copy of your build. A few peices have yet to show like the blasters for the rear and ir reciever. With green vents With blue vents I had a fun time linking all the parts and doing this build

    Thanks for responding. Im going to run the power functions train motor and ir receiver. The current 60052 uses the aaa box and train motor.

    I see two types of lego battery boxes. The ones that come in the 60052 set are higher priced than the other one with technic arms molded into it. Is there any diffrence in the circuitry? Could i just use a cheap battery box off ebay with a mini on off toggle.

    Yes Pete. I saw a youtube vid of that train before i saw it here. I knew i had to have one. My building skills and parts bin are not full enough to build something like this. Maybe i can lean someting about how others make mocs when building the train. Keep it up and get to work on some cars to follow that thing. Hauling logs and boxes just dont look right. It would be like the engine from the 60052 pulling the coal tender from the emerald night

    It would need ejector seats though. A collision of any kind would be instant death

    I just bought a pdf of this off ebay. I hope it was you selling them and not some hacker person. I m going to brick link that thing as soon as i get the file I hope to be able to mod a slug engine to go behind the engine. My plans are to just add peices to extend the center of the car instead of having a driver section. Mabe add a second train motor there. It would be nice to have some futuristic rail cars as well.

    Sadly. My son got to old for legos around the time of the robbie house and missed out. The price is tooo high for it now. He would rather buy 6 pairs of sneakers than one lego

    He saw it at a big box store and got to the register and the cashier said no dice. Should not be on the shelf. The manager said our mistake and sold it to him. It made him feel special. It will go well with gis collection

    This is true. But TLG has to keep trying. i saw a very good looking knock off of a train set on ebay! It looked very much like the Maersk and that may spark some interest from tlg. As more companys try to get some of the pie, they will be forced to offer more. We even have companies like ME making track in diffrent radious cruves and sell just straight track. If someone would just make some bigger turnouts i could get all my track needs from other companies. I would rather have the lego track but I already have 600 extra curves. my son and i only have 4 sets that came with track. The flex track is worthless. Im not buying a box of flex just to get a few straights. Order sent into Me. Money lost to TLG

    I have worked in a few different industrial areas an i have not seen a crane like the one in the kit. So I improvised. I have one more 60052 set coming and i will use it to lengthen the two far sections of gantry track. I also plan to add a remote control box fir the minis to be able to run the crane to do work
