  1. Thanks Jim. I'm looking forward to it all as well
  2. It's a beautiful machine, glad it got to the hall of fame
  3. Great contest, even if I joined too late to see it. Well done Jeroen - that Alfa's a fantastic model and a worthy winner!
  4. This is Technic at it's very best. Strong and versatile!
  5. Thanks Jeroen. Yes, the cab operator's got a squint :-)
  6. +1 for the Williams. The 8480 Space Shuttle was pretty special as well.
  7. Thanks James, and for giving me the nudge on Brickset :-)
  8. Unfortunately not, but thanks anyway TinkerBrick. I'm pleased to have some constructive criticism, although I would say that I build with what I have, and I don't have the pieces you suggest in the necessary quantity. I hear you about the back cabin, and the wheels look small, probably because the chassis is around 4 studs too long (I was more concerned with having properly working functions than perfect appearance).
  9. Funny how that's STILL the best Technic set, despite many new studless wonders. Maybe I'm just old...
  10. First MOC post here as a new member, but I've been around other parts of the 'net for a little while... Anyone hoping for a PF behemoth from the title might be disappointed to find a 10-wide minifig scale model, but it does work! Liebherr LTM 1130 - 5.1 by TechnicNick, on Flickr It's got progressive rate steering on all five axles and the four stabilizers emerge together. These two functions are controlled by gears on the back. Boom luffing, extension (3 sections) and hook have controls on the body of the crane. 11. He lived long and prospered. We still wish he'd lived longer.
  12. ShayDeGrai sums it up very well. I'd only add that if you build anything that moves / works, e.g. a Transformer, be prepared to do a lot of demonstrations... For PF Technic models, imagine the amount of batteries you'd need if you played with it all weekend, then double it! Have fun.
