I would be fine with a repeated Great Hall in the D2C if it’s absolutely magnificent. I think they should leave it out and then they could focus on all other parts of the castle with their budget, giving us a truly complete and cohesive Hogwarts for the first time. If a Great Hall and the adjoining tower are made in the D2C then they’re going to take up a lot of pieces and leave less room for other parts of the castle.

Why not? This set could be like the Batman Movie Batcave and Ninjago City- they weren’t mentioned as being able to connect to anything because their add on sets arrived one year later, and the D2C Hogwarts seems to be arriving at least 3 months after this wave. They wouldn’t want to “announce” a huge Hogwarts D2C in the description of the Great Hall. I think it can easily connect to other sets. I see no point in having one set connect to two different areas on the Hall, and as I previously mentioned I don’t think the $70 price could support two add on builds.

Looks like you’re right, there are only 2 connection points. My mistake! I doubt a $70 set would have enough room for a car, a giant tree, and a piece of Hogwarts that connects to the Great Hall unless they just want us to have a tree coming out of the back of the Hall. I think that it’s designed to connect to something else. Maybe Lego will release the D2C without a Hall but keep the Great Hall set on shelves as long as the D2C.

There are 3 connection points on the Hall, so the Whomping Willow clearly isn’t the only set that can connect to it.

The Incredibles 2 2018: Rumors and Discussion
GoldenNinja3000 replied to Falconfan1414's topic in LEGO Licensed
The fact that they’re Juniors sets doesn’t really have any bearing on the molds. This small wave has already given us 3 new molds which is pretty good for 3 sets. Edna wouldn’t get a specially molded piece if she’s just a polybag, the only chance of getting that mold would’ve been if she was in a set. Mr. Incredible probably didn’t get the body mold because it was too expensive or wouldn’t work in real life, or because they wanted to stay consistent with his appearance in the Disney minifigures series where all the humanoids were made with normal pieces. We’re still getting Edna, just not with that mold from the video game. -
The original was available from 2008-2016, and the throne room came out in 2014, so they were both out at the same time. Another example would be the Gandalf and Saruman duel set- it was a separate $13 set but the scene was recreated in the $200 Tower of Orthanc as well. However, I hope they don’t put a Great Hall in the D2C, and if they do it better be very impressive. The $100 set is fine, and I don’t want lots of pieces devoted to a second Hall.

It was listed as $570 in a rumors list compiled by mariopower and @Azani commented that it had always been rumored at around $570 but he believed it would be closer to $600.

I’m worried about the brick built animals. Hopefully they turn out okay. Also, apparently Hogwarts is $570-600 and not $500 like I had expected. I’m going to be bankrupt this fall...

Jurassic World 2018 - Rumors and Discussion
GoldenNinja3000 replied to Robert8's topic in LEGO Licensed
I haven’t seen the picture, but I don’t love the hair piece chosen for her. Bobs work better for thick hair and Zia (from what I’ve seen of her) doesn’t have a bob and her hair doesn’t seem to be very contained like bob haircuts are. I might give her the black ponytail piece instead.- 1,290 replies

Just2Good has his review of the Stygimoloch set up. I loved the set already, but it’s even better than I thought! Great design and play features, and there’s even a little lab area on the floor at the back that I didn’t know about.- 1,290 replies

Future Marvel Superheroes Rumors & Speculation

I think that the biggest characters we need to see in the 7th set are an accurate Thanos, Bucky, and Scarlet Witch, which a Wakanda based set could easily give us. -

They made the piece in black in series 5 which came out over a year before the judge. If you could get a lot of those they might look good.

We have BrickHeadz of characters without minifigures, though, like the CW Supergirl and Martian Manhunter. -

Not really. Sets can sometimes show up a month early. I know for a fact that the release date for the main System line and Juniors line is the 16th given the cards accompanying the sets on display at the NYTF.- 1,290 replies

I really wish we had gotten some other herbivores, too. I don’t think we needed 3 different raptors (getting an herbivore in a $25 Juniors set would’ve been better) and we didn’t need 2 pteranodons and T. rexes in the same wave either.- 1,290 replies

I’m quite sure, sadly. I loved the build of the 2010 one and I bet this one will be even better! I’m excited to see the suitcase, but I’m hoping that not all the beasts are brick-built. It’s already weird to have a brick-built Fawkes mixing with a molded Thestral.

Marvel Superheroes 2018 - Set Discussion
GoldenNinja3000 replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
We already got those dropships in the $15 set, and the rumor is that this set is around $50. I think the person you quoted was talking about the speeder-like ships we saw T’Challa, Cap, Black Widow, and Bucky on in the newest trailer. Those would work in a $50 set.- 3,962 replies

Marvel Superheroes 2018 - Set Discussion
GoldenNinja3000 replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
The Q-ship? I agree. I recently put together a small New York City display with a couple of buildings, and I was thinking of building my own Q-ship to hover over the city. I think those Wakandan transports are good candidates for a set, though. They’re very similar to Star Wars vehicles and I feel like they would be popular. The set could also fill in some gaps by giving us characters like Bucky, Hulk, Scarlet Witch, and Wakandan characters.- 3,962 replies

Jurassic World 2018 - Rumors and Discussion
GoldenNinja3000 replied to Robert8's topic in LEGO Licensed
My personal favorite mix and match is sticking a T. rex head on a raptor body. It’s intetesting that they’re marketing it as a feature and leads me to believe that hybrids will play an even larger role in the sequel. The mixing and matching is a lot easier now with the Indoraptor, though, because you can put its legs on the large carnivore body without it looking as comical as something like the raptor legs.- 1,290 replies

Wow! Blue is so cute! She’s a better build than I ever expected. Definitely picking this up at some point. I have a lot more faith in the other weird BrickHeadz now, like Hedwig and Rocket Raccoon.- 1,290 replies
