  1. Has anyone figured out an easy leg movement solution? I just finished my Hulkbuster and it’s an incredible build, but the legs not moving forwards or backwards is really annoying me.
  2. It’s probably an August release as well, since superhero sets (to the best of my knowledge) have always been June or August releases, and June is likely too close to Infinity War’s release date for a set that contains spoilers.
  3. Finished building the Corvus Glaive Thresher Attack, Thanos: Ultimate Battle, and Sanctum Sanctorum Showdown a few days ago. I absolutely love the new ship for the Guardians! It’s a nice change from the Milano while still maintaining that wispy bird-like look. The orange looks very nice and the sand blue is a perfect accent color. I like the new Thanos more in person, but I really wish he didn’t have the armor and that he wasn’t angry but confident like the last one’s expression was. The Gauntlet is an amazing piece and I definitely need another for my comic Thanos. There’s a lot of wasted space in the Benatar- especially with the space bike, which is a feature I would like if it looked better. I’m going to build up a proper cockpit that can hopefully hold at least 3 people, and I’ll be removing the inverted slopes and tiles from the back area to sink it down a bit and add more seating. Lastly, the new Iron Man is drop dead gorgeous. I love his jet pack build and it looks really great. The Wakandan wall is amazing as well, I don’t understand why so many people dislike the build. The thresher is fun if a bit unnecessary. Two of the walls look great together and I love the color scheme with the black against the transparent purple. The functions are cool and don’t detract from the build at all. Definitely one of the better builds from the Marvel line. The Sanctum is gorgeous as well- it’s goimg to stay on display for a long time. The exterior is incredibly detailed and the interior is full of interesting things even if it is a bit cramped. Iron Spider is awesome and the unprinted sides of his legs don’t bother me as much in person. The winch system with the water tower is one of the most clever functions I’ve seen in a long time! All the exploding walls/windows have different trigger mechanisms which make them more interesting. The new window piece looks really nice as well. One of my favorite builds ever! The entire wave was better than I expected overall and I hope we get a great 7th set with some of the missing characters.
  4. I have! It looks great, the only thing that looks weird to me is the tower build having nothing to its side. It didn’t bother me with just a single set but when I connected two it looks a bit strange. Overall they’re very nice together and I’ll be customizing the interior a bit to diversify it.
  5. Has anyone had a problem with pieces in these sets? I’m on bag 4 of the Sanctum Sanctorum and I’ve come across one mangled 2x2 inverted slope brick and a missing 1x4 brick, both in light bluish gray. My Star-Lord’s head was also misprinted.
  6. There’s still a $110/120 set though. Whatever it is, I bet it’ll have a large dinosaur that’s hopefully a new species with some new molds.
  7. What??? It’s fake? What??? It’s fake?
  8. It’s been in a couple romantic sets (weddings, Valentine’s dinner) and in the Parisian Restaurant. I’m surprised at how much it gets around, but it makes sense since it’s the only ring piece Lego has to offer.
  9. I was surprised by that! I picked up the wedding favor set as well and when building it I was like “wow, the One Ring. I wonder if it’s in any other new sets because I haven’t seen it in a while.” Then I saw the ones in the Hulkbuster and I was astonished! It’s nice that we’re still getting two extras of that piece since it’s so useful.
  10. It looks exactly like Lowery so we can just pretend it’s him!
  11. Just built the first three sets as well as the ship polybag. They’re amazing! I absolutely love this wave, even though it’s not perfect. I got multiples of the Outrider Dropship Attack, and the build is very nice when finished. Cap and Widow are both amazing figures and I adore the Outriders- they’re my favorite army builder figures yet! The escape pod in the Thor set is great, I love the design and the weird curves. Groot and Thor are awesome although I wish Thor had his eyepatch. The forge is okay, nothing very special and I feel like there could’ve been a better way to reveal Stormbreaker other than pushing a drawer open. The new Hulkbuster is my favorite set so far. Proxima Midnight is great and Falcon’s wings aren’t as bad in person (the new Redwing is much better too). The Wakandan turret is a cool build with a simple and easy play feature, but the new Hulkbuster is truly something special. Everything is improved! The articulation is great and the arm swinging feature is fun, and I’m very impressed that they included an official way to remove the feature. My biggest problem with the sets are actually the pieces used to hold figures in place- those T shaped Friends seating parts. They make the Outriders rattle around in their ship, Groot can’t stay sitting in the pod unless he leans against the glass window, and the slightest disturbance will detach Banner from the Hulkbuster. I like my figures to be securely connected to wherever they’re sitting or standing, and these pieces have just gotten extremely annoying. I’ll probably modify all of the sets with this issue to actually connect my figures to studs.
  12. The biggest they grew to was 56 feet long, which is longer than a T. rex. The Lego version should be at least as big as the rex.
  13. Good, I’d hate to have to wait even longer. I’d honestly prefer for Lego to make a full size (video game size) mosasaurus and have the set be very overpriced (like 800/900 bricks) rather than have them scale it down, but I’m sure it’ll be scaled down.
  14. Just bought every Infinity War set. I came in 10 minutes after opening and almost all the regular Hulkbusters were gone and they only had 3 of the Ultimate Battle set left after I bought mine. No teen Groot keychain, sadly, and no Iron Man mosaic. I have no clue what’s happening with the keychain, I’m disappointed that I didn’t get it.
  15. That’s annoying considering they’ve already been designed and everything and were intended to be released. Seemed like they were gonna be very cool sets.
  16. I saw that, but I think it could be a promotion just for that store if nothing has been announced online. I’ll ask about it at my store tomorrow and see what they say but I’m not expecting to get it.
  17. So are the exclusives coming in mid April or over the summer? Since the toy fair press release mentioned the total number of sets including exclusives I’d assume they’re coming in April.
  18. Yeah, they were. Cockpit stickers are always clear backed or have a cutout, and the Quinjet details were too large for a cutout.
  19. Oooh, that’s a nice idea. I know many people dislike the large single boat hull piece but I would love it if they made the ship with that. The cost would then be very high for very few pieces, though, between all the new molds required for the mosasaurus and the big boat mold.
  20. I just looked one up. They seem like they would be a good fit for a Lego set. I wouldn’t mind two vehicles in a large set especially since we also got a location based large set. I’m just very excited for the Mosasaurus, and I’ll be getting this on day one no matter what.
  21. Oh, okay. Someone mentioned a helicopter- I wouldn’t mind another one as long as it was well designed and a decent size (like as big as the one in Jungle Air Drop Helicopter).
  22. There are multiple peg holes on the Great Hall. There are two on the left side of the main hall, two on the left side of the tower and two on the right side of the tower. Some face to the side (horizontal connections) but some face backwards. I’m 99% sure that all 3 of those connecting points are not solely for the Whomping Willow. It’s definitely designed to connect to the D2C, and I really don’t think that the D2C needs a Great Hall.
  23. It sounds like it’ll be pretty accurate- they did say a long time ago that this movie would feature a chase between a mosasaurus and a submarine.
  24. Thanks! I ordered some curves and small straights from Bricks & Pieces so those will take a while to arrive. I’ve done some more work in the last couple days and will be posting another update soon- I just got over 60 trans dark blue and trans light blue cheese slopes and crystals to scatter around the mine.
  25. That’s exactly what I’m thinking. It’s possible that they include “the second half” of the Hall but I doubt it since all 4 house tables and everything are already inside the $100 set. I would be perfectly fine with them skipping the Great Hall to focus on the rest of Hogwarts. If I’m dropping $500 on a Hogwarts Castle I can save up for a bit longer and drop another $100 on a Great Hall.
