They need to use other hairpieces and recycle faces other than Leia’s and Jyn Erso’s if they aren’t willing to do new prints. That over the shoulder hairpiece is ridiculously overused.

There weren’t any rumors from reputable leakers like this Batvehicle set. The rumors started because no one could see them doing anything except a Visitor Center. I disagree on it being one of the biggest disappointments of the year- it’s a fantastic set but people just expected something else.

All we know it’s that it’s a “Batvehicle”. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s more than one vehicle or included side builds like the parade float or something. The JP thing is different- all we knew is that it would be a D2C and because everyone wanted a Visitor Center we all assumed it would be that. A minifigure scale 1989 Batmobile has already leaked. It’s a GWP for the D2C set apparently. There’s no way a 3300 piece vehicle set is minifigure scale in this case. I’m personally expecting a large scale Batmobile and Batwing but who knows.

I don’t think the quality has dropped with this wave. I think the quality dropped in the 2016 summer wave and has stayed at that level since, with the lack of leg printing and constant repeats of the same Spider-Man villains.

We know it’s a vehicle and it’s based on the 1989 movie. That’s pretty much the only concrete information, and a vehicle with that parts count can only mean a large scale one that’s not suited for minifigures. I’m happy with that though since we have plenty of figure-scaled Batman vehicles already and this is (presumably) a display piece. She does have an alternate expression- her face is the same one used for Black Widow, Mera, and Jyn Erso. I think the D2C is supposed to release Thanksgiving weekend.

Awesome that we’re getting Vicki Vale! I didn’t expect the set to have more than the two previously seen figures. I wish we’d get Pfeiffer’s Catwoman but that doesn’t seem possible.

Bat-Mite looks very cute, I love the head mold. All in all I’m pretty happy with this series- I definitely would’ve made different choices but all the figures look good on the whole. Are all of them worth $5? Not really, but I’m still getting the whole series and some spares anyway.

Joker looks awesome. I love the face but I wish the hair was the normal green instead of lime green. I actually quite like Superman as well, and that laser eyes face is really nice.

It’s hard to find chase figures when people clean out all of them from five boxes in one store. I like all the new figures we’re getting. Bat-Mite is a great choice and I’m very excited for the Joker figure. I’m hoping the hairpiece comes with the D2C since I always love figures getting alternate hair/hat pieces and it wouldn’t really fit for a TDKR Joker figure. I’m excited to see Flash’s helmet mold!

I can’t say I’m a big fan of the AIM soldier design from the comics so I actually like this figure. A comic one would’ve been cool but I don’t think this looks bad for a generic goon. Cap needed those dual molded legs but he looks great aside from that. I like Thor a lot and the hair is finally tan instead of yellow which looks so much better, but I also feel like he needed just a little something going on with the legs. I love Anya, though! That’s a great surprise figure and I always love getting new Spider heroes.

Wow, I haven’t been active on here in a while and just read through everything I missed. I’m happy about the exclusive figure coming, since the other books have just had repeated characters from sets. Even if you don’t want to pay for the book you can always BrickLink the figure! I’m expecting more sets to be released next summer than just the four we know about- I feel like in both 2018 and 2019, we learn about four/five sets early and then as we get closer to summer we get rumors of more sets that end up being true (Hogwarts Express, Quidditch Match, Rise of Voldemort, Beauxbatons Carriage). I’m dying for a new Chamber of Secrets set, though, and I’d love the Durmstrang Ship and Second Task from GoF so I’m kind of hoping they take a break to go fill in gaps with this wave, although I’d also be fine with gaps being filled after they’ve worked their way through all 8 movies.

It’s a Star Wars character. He introduced that robe/jacket leg print that’s been reused very well on several different figures across multiple licenses. I quite like Noir! If the jet is a good build then that set will be a must buy. Hopefully it’s got a new Venom variant or something special like extra attachments. Hawkeye is okay, nothing very special imo.

I like that Iron Man figure. Good detailing and the helmet piece works even if it does look like he’s trying to do the chubby bunny challenge.

I highly doubt that because Joker is the most popular supervillain and 4th most popular comic book character in general. His darkness hasn’t stopped Lego from making minifigures of him before and I doubt they’ll stop now because of one R-rated movie. It’s set outside of the main franchise with a very specific and very different Joker- it’s not like Deadpool, where the movie is the definitive version of the character in pop culture. We don’t even know for sure that there is a chase minifigure in the CMF.

I actually like the molded cape. I love the flying in the wind look and it’s perfect for a display minifigure, which is exactly what this one is. It doesn’t need to sit down because it wouldn’t fit in a scaled up vehicle anyway. I really love that new piece.

I like that we’re getting AIM soldiers, but not particularly happy with more Vulture, Doc Ock, and Venom minifigures. We just got them all a year ago! And ANOTHER Venom mech?? Last year’s was pretty much perfect so I don’t see the need for another one. I’m disappointed with the Spider-Man wave because it just seems like a complete rehash of the great one that we got last year. Hopefully we get a good comic Mysterio, though.

I actually like the figure a lot, not sure why everyone else doesn’t. Yeah, the helmet reuse isn’t great, but the design seems fine to me, the face is great, and there’s even leg printing! That’s a nice surprise.

It’s on the same hashtag as the other leaks. Exactly. Plus Simpsons was a new license for Lego, so with all those reasons the price hike definitely made sense. It doesn’t make sense for this series and is quite irritating.

I was thinking about a full box, but I’ve only ever done a full box for the Harry Potter CMF and after seeing most of this series I don’t think I want a box. I definitely don’t want one now that they’ll be $300 for 60 minifigures. For the price hike we should’ve seen more new molds, honestly. The Simpsons price hike made sense due to the license and every character having a specialized head mold. This one doesn’t make sense to me at all.

Yeah, $5 for one minifigure when $10 sets often have 2-4 is ridiculous. I might skip this series then and only buy packs when Lego discounts them online.

I’m surprised the D2C wasn’t revealed at NYCC. I wonder when we’ll see pictures. I have to say, I really dislike what Lego has been doing lately with only revealing sets officially a few days or a week before they release.

At this point, I’m expecting a two-pack of the Batmobile and Batwing. 3306 pieces does seem like far too many for one vehicle unless it’s absolutely massive.

Love the Nicholson Joker but I kind of wish they’d made a new hat mold with short hair...that’s just a mold Lego really needs to make in general. I feel like it’s just missing some of that green. Hopefully he comes with an alternate hairpiece too!

I like Cheetah a lot, and Bumblebee’s new hair mold is great. Miracle looks pretty nice but I don’t care about Aquaman at all. The new hand piece is cool I guess and the legs and torso are nice but I just don’t care about getting yet another Aquaman figure. If all the figures really do come with trans clear pieces to pose them that’s a very nice inclusion and a great idea!

I like the Wonder Woman but she would have looked better with a new hairpiece. Classic Cheetah could be good but I don’t get the inclusion of Bumblebee.
