  1. I think this con exclusive is kind of perfect. It’s a good detailed variant of a character and it’s desirable but in my opinion not so desirable that everyone is upset about not being able to get it.
  2. I’ll be slightly disappointed if this Hulk set is the biggest of the wave since I really want a scaled down Sanctuary II for $70-100. It seems like a no brainer and I can’t believe Lego hasn’t made one yet! It’s a vehicle with a unique design and could have several play features like bomb drops or stud shooters, coupled with some destruction/explosion features if Captain Marvel is included, and it could even have at least one interior room to position figures. I hope we get one even if it’s a smaller $50 set.
  3. On the topic of Rescue: her suit’s official colors are described as “lavender blue” and “champagne gold”. So the blue is purplish and the gold is silvery. Her suit is officially blue and gold but they’re very specific shades of both and the blue does look like purple in certain lighting conditions. I’m very happy with the figure that we got though. A purple Iron Man suit is far more unique than another dark blue one and it does have those gorgeous metallic blue highlights, so I think it combines both colors in an effective way. If it had been dark blue it wouldn’t have captured the metallic appearance of the real suit and how it shines and reflects other light.
  4. Holy crap!!! This is an amazing surprise!! I love the Rescue figure and I like that it’s purple even if the suit is actually blue. I don’t love the helmet but I understand why they chose that mold since hers is very sleek and not as chunky as the opening helmet mold. Hulk and the Nano Gauntlet are incredible and I don’t really care about the repeat Widow or Chitauri since I still like them. If this really is part of a second wave I’m going to lose my mind. I just hope we get the figures in regular suits but if Widow is still in the team suit I kind of doubt it...
  5. The advent calendar is really cool and I love the Architect of Hogwarts figure. I’m in London right now and did the Warner Bros. Studio Tour and I really wish Lego would release more D2C sets with the rest of the castle! I’m glad that the new sets are releasing July 1st in the US. One month’s difference is fine in my opinion but a two month wait would’ve been a lot more irritating.
  6. Yeah, this is incredibly annoying. Previous exclusive sets didn’t have exclusive figures at least. This one has two and the Flerken Goose, plus an actually good and interesting build. I’m really ticked off.
  7. Barnes and Noble actually discounted Betrayal at Cloud City by 20% a few months ago, but it’s very rare to see D2C discounts.
  8. I’m getting it as soon as I can. The dinosaur does look better now even if the head isn’t perfect. And it’s over two feet long! That’s gigantic! I was always happy with the gate and now that I’m sold on the dinosaur it’s a definite purchase.
  9. After the initial disappointment yesterday and after seeing the back of the box, I’m honestly a lot happier with this set. It was a big surprise but it’s not a bad set at all. I think I’ll still get it since I love the gate and those little scenes are a really nice touch, and the dinosaur is well designed and seems to have a lot of poseability. Hopefully it’s officially revealed soon so we can get better looks at everything and an official price.
  10. Is the set actually not in minifigure scale? Looking at that picture of the gate from the movie they seem to be similar in size, and while the brick built T. rex is far larger than Lego’s molded animals, it could be life sized when compared with a figure. So this could still work just fine with minifigures.
  11. I’m disappointed. Both builds look very well designed and I actually like the gate a lot, but I didn’t want this as the big D2C Jurassic set. This was going to be a day one purchase and now it’s the first D2C I’ve saved up for that I’m considering skipping. It doesn’t look like a $250 set, more like $200-230 for me. I’ll probably still get it but not for $250 unless there’s a good freebie with it. I don’t like brick built dinosaurs and I think they should’ve made a minifigure compatible playset, or at least include the cars in a larger scale. I’m disappointed. 12. The $75 was for any Lego products, not just Marvel. That’s how I got mine.
  13. I’d love it if they announced it or released it on June 11th since that’s my birthday!
  14. The Goofy figure looks real to me. I’m excited to see this D2C!
  15. It’s already confirmed to be fake. I hope we get sets for Black Widow and The Eternals but I’d only expect one for Widow since that’s the way they went for Ant-Man and the Wasp and Captain Marvel.
  16. Could you post a picture of it by any chance?
  17. Does anyone else have any other ideas for a purist custom Rescue? I tried putting the Iron Legion helmet on Iron Patriot but there’s just too much red and silver. I really wish Lego would make an official figure for her and the new outfits for the other 4 Avengers (I don’t really care about Hulk).
  18. It was July 1st. I remember because it was a big deal that they were coming a month early since it was unexpected and I had a lot of trouble ordering from Shop@Home that day and had to go to a physical Lego Store right before it opened. I wish Lego would just release major theme waves all at once- I’d honestly prefer if the whole world got everything August 1st instead of June 1st so we could get all 7 sets at once. I don’t care if Europe gets Marvel sets and Creator/City sets first but for something like HP that’s only 7-8 sets per year I think they should release worldwide at the same time.
  19. I hope we get some micro builds to go with Hogwarts but we definitely aren’t getting all the minifigures in the first seven days. That’s not how advent calendars work. They spread the figures out. My ranking would be: 1) Clock Tower 2) Hagrid’s Hut 3) Beauxbatons Carriage 4) The Rise of Voldemort 5) Expecto Patronum 6) Triwizard Challenge 7) Knight Bus
  20. Nice to see that the pack is real but it’s disappointing that they omitted the black and red suit again.
  21. The Mark 85 doesn’t make much sense since we never see 51-84, but that’s the official number so I guess we’re just missing 35 Iron Man suits. If you want an in universe reason for Rescue being 49 my theory is that he started working on it as an engagement/wedding present for Pepper and then he stopped because of the Snap and because he retired from being Iron Man and settled down with her. And then for some reason he started working on it again as an anniversary gift. Or maybe he completed it before the Snap and just never gave it to her.
  22. Rescue’s faceplate is 100% gold. Just watch the movie again and it’s very obvious. All the merchandise has a gold faceplate as well.
  23. Rescue definitely has a gold faceplate. It’s gold in the movie and gold on all the toys/official art.
  24. Wasn’t the dark blue and gold Iron Legion helmet put back into production recently? Is it possible we are actually getting a Rescue figure but it’ll just be later in the year?
  25. Holy crap. These sets are amazing and totally unexpected! The graveyard looks like a great little set and the Deathly Hallows gravestone is a really nice touch. The barren land area seems to have some play feature in it which should be interesting and baby Voldemort would be awesome! If the description says it’s included I’m sure we’ll see it on the back of the box at some point. Also we basically get 5 figures in what I’m assuming is a $20 set, all of which are exclusive! The Death Eater does look really cool and I’m glad they made this version even though I never expected them to. The carriage set is just breathtaking though. All exclusive figures again and they’re all incredible, two horses, and a fully openable carriage with interior?? That’s awesome!!! And as someone else said, you can use one of the Pegasi (?) for Valkyrie! I didn’t expect these sets to be so good!
