  1. I wouldn’t be surprised if it did, since there are only 15 sets with 4000 pieces or more (counting both versions of the Taj Majal and UCS Falcon), and I’m expecting a $400 licensed D2C to have at least 4000 pieces but hopefully more.
  2. Holy crap, this set is amazing! I didn’t expect another Haunted House set and this one looks incredible. Can’t wait to get it!
  3. There are actually rumors of the Inhuman royal family being rebooted in the Ms. Marvel Disney+ series, as Kamala will still be an Inhuman in the MCU, so they’d be removing the ABC show from MCU continuity. I’d love to see them as figures, especially Medusa with a new hair mold!
  4. I was always expecting a September general release and mid-August VIP release, but of course I’ll be a lot happier if it’s an August general and mid-July VIP. I can’t wait to see it!
  5. I’m not bothered by the tiny Quinjet, I think it’s a cute design and good for playability without taking up too many pieces. After all, if it was bigger we’d all be complaining about what a waste of pieces it is.
  6. I just realized the Burrow isn’t really open around the back, but rather it’s open on the left side when you face the front door. It definitely gives much more interior space to the build but it makes it look a bit awkward when looking at the front since you can see the kitchen and dining area poking out to the side. I would’ve loved some wall behind the kitchen since the open space behind the sink and counter bothers me a bit, but that’s a pretty minor nitpick and easy to fix.
  7. I definitely think the book cover will be printed. As far as I know, LEGO never stickers those pieces unless they’re transparent and used as a display screen. Whenever they’re used as books I believe they’re printed. Edit: never mind, sometimes the book covers are stickers. I still hope it’s a print, though.
  8. Yeah, I don’t see them up for preorder either. I’m conflicted because I want to preorder them immediately to guarantee I’ll get them, but I love my summer trip to the LEGO store to buy the entire wave at once. I hope the GWP is in August/September to coincide with the sets/D2C release rather than in October like 2018, which I found a bit random.
  9. I think that hint refers to 75978 being a separate set from the D2C Diagon Alley, so following in the same tradition from the last two years we will get two “bonus” August sets: The Burrow and whatever 75978 ends up being (presumably the Ministry).
  10. The sets look incredible! Some odd minifigure choices for sure, especially with Molly’s hair. I don’t think the piece is bad but it’s just an odd choice to me. The Burrow and Astronomy Tower are definitely the best sets and I love the builds. I’m surprised about the inclusion of the viaduct entrance but it looks great and I like that it and the greenhouse can disconnect and be rearranged with the other sections as we’ve come to expect. I think the Room off Requirement can connect as well due to the pin holes on the ends, but I’m not sure how good it would look. Grawp is a good build and his little ears are so cute! Privet Drive is a bit cramped but still great, and Hedwig’s face is creepy but the overall build is cool. I always expected a July/August release in the US given the last two years, so I was fine with the July 1 date on Shop@Home, but if it’s really changed to August 1 like @RogueTwo said then that’s disappointing.
  11. Regarding the Eternals sets, I’m sure they’ll be pushed back but likely only to January 2021, so only a 3 month wait which isn’t bad. I really hope the mystery set is for Falcon and the Winter Soldier or WandaVision, although Falcon is more likely. The official pictures do make the Helicarrier look much better, and the open space at the back being a cell for MODOK makes sense. Hopefully there is an actual interior space up front.
  12. Joker’s hair has appeared in Nexo Knights and The LEGO Ninjago Movie sets, while Harley’s hair was in the TLNM CMF series and was recently found recolored in the Build a Minifigure bin at LEGO stores. Penguin’s hat gets a decent amount of mileage across a couple themes but they definitely don’t use these molds as much as they could.
  13. Obviously he wasn’t, but he means that the movie was very serious for a comic book superhero movie and approached ridiculous things in a realistic manner.
  14. I don’t think we need to worry about the sets being delayed or anything, as others have said the factory leaks are likely too early for August sets. I wonder what “there is more than you think” means. More sets or more figures? Maybe 75978 is actually another retailer exclusive and not the D2C. Hopefully it won’t be more than another week or two.
  15. The Helicarrier build could definitely be improved at the back and for the rotors, but it’s not bad.
  16. The box angle is better and it looks less cluttered with the Quinjet off. Is it just me or are the rotors angled forward a bit on the box? Maybe that’s why they stick up so much.
  17. Huh, weird. Thanks for clearing that up. These release dates are more confusing than usual.
  18. Are the rest of the sets releasing in August? I was under the impression that all 4 new sets would be releasing together in June for Europe and August for the US. Also, what’s going on with the Iron Man helmet/bust? It doesn’t seem to be coming in May and I’m not sure when the mosaic releases either.
  19. I’m kind of glad the sets didn’t leak with the others today as these were lower quality leaks and it’s hard to make out some details. I wish LEGO would officially reveal the HP sets before they leak so we can marvel in the glory of HD pictures of our beautiful 2020 sets...
  20. I love the build for the Mobile Bat-Base! It’s a lot like the original Agents one as someone else said and I think it looks fantastic. I’m sure it’ll be packed full of features inside just like the Agents set. White Man-Bat is awesome, getting Bronze Tiger is nice, blue Nightwing is a great surprise, but I’m sad that Batgirl just has that overused generic hairpiece instead of a cowl. I’m sure the figure will look great and I think that the hairstyle is comic accurate (not sure), but I was really hoping for the return of that 2014 cowl. I didn’t expect this set to be this good and I’m very nicely surprised.
  21. Oh, it’s only $100? That’s a much better price! I’m a lot happier about that.
  22. Damn, these new sets look great. Lab build is good and new dinosaurs are cool, 4+ set is just fine, and I can’t believe we’re actually getting a new Gallimimus mold! I don’t hate the tank in that set either, I kind of like chunky vehicles and both dinosaurs are good. But that Indominus set has to be one of the best Jurassic sets ever! The Ankylosaurus is awesome but the new Indominus blows the original out of the water, and the original is my favorite LEGO dinosaur ever. The gray looks much better and if it really has reflective printing that’ll elevate it so much. The builds are great but it is too expensive for $130, although that’s to be expected with two dinosaurs that size.
  23. The Penguin set is fine, nothing special. The Joker chase set has a good looking Batmobile but the Joker tricycle doesn’t look good and is a dumb idea IMO. I’ll get it when it goes on sale for sure but I honestly would’ve preferred a Harley vehicle instead.
  24. Really? I feel like they could’ve easily fixed the rotors to be more recessed and found a solution for the open back without adding many pieces and changing the price point. I think the main part of the build looks great for sure but the rotors are a big flaw.
  25. Ugh...I definitely feel like our hopes were too high. Minifigures in both sets are amazing, I can’t believe they gave Black Widow arm printing, that’s incredible! Captain Marvel looks so much better with the Mohawk and it’s not too big like I was afraid of. No new Iron Man is kind of disappointing but that is an awesome figure so I don’t care too much, and MODOK looks fine to me. The builds are another story. The Helicarrier looks like it has a great core, but they dropped the ball so hard on the rotors! Why are they sticking up so much??? And why the open back? With those issues fixed the set would’ve been perfect, the rotors are just an eyesore right now. I don’t hold 4+ sets to a very high standard but that “tower” looks real bad and definitely not worth the $60. The Avengers plane looks cool but I don’t even know what Loki’s vehicle is supposed to be. Hopefully the regular Avengers Tower set is a good build.
