Marvel Superheroes 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion
GoldenNinja3000 replied to Anonknee Muss's topic in LEGO Licensed
Comic sets are nice to get and I’m glad more are coming, especially Avengers based and not just Spider-Man based. There have been a ton of MCU sets ever since they went up to 3 movies per year and it’s really killed the comic book Avengers sets. We all want more accurate Endgame figures but a second wave was always improbable and I’m surprised we’re even getting one extra set. -
Jurassic World 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion

I think a Spinosaurus could work with a new neck piece, a new sail to attach to the T. rex body, and maybe new arms. It can reuse the body, legs, and tail of the rex. I’d be fine with the arms being Indominus ones though, since those can grip figures and everything. I’m not sure about the size of the Baryonyx head though. It looks a little big for the Indoraptor body so maybe they designed it with a Spinosaurus in mind? An new neck mold like the game figure had would be perfect I think but I need to get my hands on the Baryonyx and compare it to my T. rex first. -

All the figures look great to me. I love Minnie’s arm printing and the two chipmunks look good in the conductor’s uniforms.- 961 replies

Head looks good, a comic book Black Panther would be cool. Disappointed that there doesn’t seem to be more Endgame sets but I’m glad that we got Team Suit Hulk with the Nano Gauntlet and Rescue. -
I think the Hidden Side graveyard will look very nice next to the HP one.

I just finished the D2C the other day and I’m blown away by it. The T. rex is incredible and both builds are absolutely gigantic. I honestly would’ve been fine paying $300 for this, I don’t think it would’ve been a ripoff at all. The little scenes in the back are cute and make the building process more interesting but don’t really matter. Overall I really like the set! -

The lines have never seemed particularly even to me- DC has more D2C sets and more big sets in general than Marvel does, they get more original movies and TV specials, they get more minifigures, etc. It’s only in the last two years that it feels like Marvel has been getting more sets than DC but I blame that on two big team up movies two years in a row that got 6 sets each. I’m a huge Jurassic fan but I just don’t think they could make 20 figures that excite me, especially after we got a bunch in the D2C. DC has a ton more variety and more interesting outfits and pieces that could be made. -

I still think the truck and motorcycle sets may be Endgame based. They’ve included movie based Iron Man suits in comic sets before so if they do that this time we may still see an Iron Patriot. -
I wouldn’t be surprised if they delayed the second CMF series to August 2021 to coincide with the Fantastic Beasts movie.

That head looks great. Slightly disappointed that we aren’t getting a movie accurate bigfig, but the Infinity War and Endgame bigfigs were so inaccurate that I’m glad we aren’t getting another bad one. -

DC Superheroes 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion

We have details. We know it’s a Batman vehicle and we know the set number. Stop pushing this baseless narrative that it’s cancelled without any concrete proof. Reliable leakers have stated multiple times that it’s still coming, and if September 21st is Batman day then that makes a lot of sense as the release day. -

The set number is 76139 and it’s been known since the middle of December 2018. It’s happening, we just don’t know when it’s released. We get a D2C list at the beginning of every year. The sets on those lists always come out eventually. They are not cancelled randomly. The set is coming, it’s just not coming as soon as we expected. Unless you work for the DC department at LEGO you can’t claim that it’s “definitely not happening”. We have 2020 Star Wars pictures but haven’t seen the October D2C yet, but that doesn’t make it cancelled. -

It’s definitely still happening, and “a 60% chance it won’t happen” is a random number that doesn’t mean anything. It was on the D2C list for 2019 and sets on the D2C list don’t just magically disappear. If we haven’t seen anything yet it’s because it has a later release date than we expected. September does make sense since August already has two D2C sets, as does October, but September only has one. -

The D2C set could come in September and not August. That would explain why we haven’t seen anything. It just seems odd to me since September already has the Disney and Winter Village D2C sets, but who knows. -

We only know piece counts but we can use those to guess at the prices. I’m assuming both mechs will be $20, the bike will be $20 or $30, and the truck will be $50. Hulk Helicopter Drop is the largest set by piece count and also by price I think, and it’s $60. -

I’m losing faith as more time passes, honestly. The only thing that reassures me is that we always see one new DC and one new Marvel set at SDCC, and we haven’t seen any other DC set yet. -

I thought he was talking about the Lego Movie 2 set he designed. He designed a giant Batman vehicle but Lego decided not to make it a set, it wasn’t cancelled, it was just never developed. -

We have the set number, we know it’s a vehicle, and we have a rough knowledge of the price. This is a slightly unusual situation because we haven’t had any minifigure leaks but if the set doesn’t have any figures then it makes sense. Unless August 1st passes without seeing anything, it’s not cancelled. -

There can still be an LGBT+ love triangle, after all, Valkyrie could be into both Jane and Thor or Thor could be into both. I think we’ll definitely get a proper Valkyrie figure in this line of sets if we don’t see one this fall which seems likely if some of the new sets are comics based. And I’m so excited for the prospect of a Lady Thor figure!! -

I’m not really sure about the price, actually. When D2C news starts slowly trickling out I keep a note on my phone of the sets I’m interested in, and I thought it was recorded as $250 but I just checked and I have it written as $200.
