  1. I think we’ll only get one set for each movie except maybe Eternals and Thor: Love and Thunder. Eternals could get a three set initial wave like Guardians or just one because it’s a new property. I think Thor will go up to three sets after Ragnarok had two, and I’m hoping that Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness can get more than one but I’m unsure about it. I just really hope we get one set for each of the shows, too.
  2. I would love that but I’m not sure if it would be big enough to justify a $250 set, and it isn’t as iconic as the other two vehicles. It just doesn’t seem like an 80th anniversary set to me but I certainly won’t complain if that’s what it is. I think some leakers just confirmed it, and it’s listed on Brickset as “Batvehicle D2C”.
  3. It’s definitely not a playset, the only known thing about it is that it’s a vehicle.
  4. That’s true, and the lack of minifigure leaks makes me afraid that the set won’t have any figures at all. Or they could be repeat figures from the main line but that would be lame in my opinion. I haven’t thought about it much but I’m thinking that the set could be an ‘89 Batmobile with figures of Keaton Batman and Nicholson Joker, but I feel like they would’ve leaked by now.
  5. The carriage has 430 pieces, not 360. It is a bit overpriced but considering the horses, new hats, new faceprints, and new Hagrid, it makes sense.
  6. It’s coming. It’s been known for months. But it seems like this year Lego has withheld reveals until right before they release. Stranger Things was revealed the day it came out, the Jurassic Park set was revealed a week before its release. If the giveaway is on a Sunday I expect the reveal then.
  7. I’m glad to see that they’re making this theme longer lived. I like the Legend of Isla Nublar wave for the awesome new dinosaurs and the theme park builds, although everything else (including most of the figures) isn’t that impressive to me. I’d be fine with more sets based on Legend of Isla Nublar as long as we get some new dinosaurs and hopefully some new theme park builds!
  8. Exactly what @Accio Lego said above me. It would be a lot harder to sell as the only truly iconic structure is the Astronomy Tower, which isn’t as well recognized as the Great Hall and Marble Staircase Tower. There also aren’t many new microfigures they could include although we are missing characters like Quirrel, Sirius, Hagrid, and other minor ones. With the current D2C, you get the most iconic features of Hogwarts coupled with almost all the major characters from the book series as microfigures. I think it would be hard to market a D2C depicting the other half of the castle since 71043 works on its own but the other set wouldn’t really work unless you already had the first one. Ninjago City Docks worked as an add on to Ninjago City because it still worked great as a stand-alone but becomes even better when joined with the older set, and another Hogwarts D2C just wouldn’t operate like that. Also, there’s no place to connect it unless you remove the small rock detailing parts covering up the Technic beams at the base of the Viaduct Entrance Building. It’s just a long shot which is a shame.
  9. You don’t have to be a “pro Lego leaker” to understand the timeline of when info comes out. We JUST got numbers, some pieces counts, and rough names for new 2020 sets. There’s no way we’d get detailed descriptions two weeks later. Descriptions usually surface a few months before release, but not this far in advance. We’re all eager for more information but we haven’t even seen all of the 2019 DC sets yet and in my opinion it’s way too early to get hyped for 2020 releases when the summer wave hasn’t even released in North America yet.
  10. That’s exactly how I see it. The D2C is an architecturally accurate representation of half of the castle while the regular sets are just iconic sections of Hogwarts that can be connected for play and to just give a general Hogwarts vibe. I’ve got both of my versions sitting next to each other and I think both look great. I know it’s quite impossible but I really wish they’d release a D2C set of the other half of the castle!
  11. That makes sense, and it’s still about 10 days before the D2C release. I think it’s very clear that this point that there’s no early access for this set unless it ends up being a September set, but I highly doubt that since I’m pretty sure the Disney D2C is for September.
  12. There’s absolutely no way we’re going to get January 2020 set descriptions in two weeks. That’s insanely early. Winter set descriptions don’t usually surface until October or November at the earliest.
  13. Since the Mandalorian is getting sets this year and next year, is it possible that we could get sets based on the Marvel shows for Disney+? I’d love to see at least one set from each show.
  14. Looks like we’re getting two Juniors and two normal Jurassic World sets next year! Is there a 2020 thread yet?
  15. They reuse ideas like mechs and helicopters because that’s what kids like playing with. They wouldn’t make so many if they didn’t sell, and I really don’t see the issue as long as they’re well designed and good for playing with. In my opinion the helicopter in the compound battle is just useless filler even though it looks nice which is why I have an issue with things like that.
  16. Yeah, looks like we’ve got four new sets coming, but it seems a bit early to know this information unless they’re January releases.
  17. The names sound ridiculous but in a good way to me. The truck and bike are whatever although Lego has made some nice trucks before. But a Thanos mech sounds really cute! There’s nothing really accurate to make from the final battle unless they’d make a Sanctuary II, good sized Leviathan, or Luis’s van. Because they’re not making any of those I’m fine with made up builds as long as they’re good (like the helicopter in the Hulk set) and I think we all just want accurate figures anyway.
  18. He’s talking about the Batvehicle D2C that’s been confirmed for months and is supposedly coming out in August.
  19. I’d also love a Soren minifigure and an updated Talos. I hope that if all four new sets aren’t Endgame based then some are Captain Marvel based since there’s still so much potential for other figures. And I really hope we can use VIP points to get the Captain Marvel SDCC exclusive.
  20. I BrickLinked mine in April and it cost about $120 (the 15,000 point price equates to about $115 in the new VIP system). It is hard since there are very rare pieces like the Tumbler tires that only came in three sets including the Batpod, and Hero Factory shield pieces that only came in a handful of sets as well. It definitely isn’t as easy as it sounds.
  21. Maybe you should put all of that in spoiler tags since it’s major spoilers for anyone who hasn’t seen the movie.
  22. Got the Clock Tower, Expecto Patronum, and Triwizard Challenge sets on the website today and I’ll get the other two at Barnes and Noble once I’m back in the US since I want a discount on them. Super excited to build these!!
  23. I haven’t been keeping up with this thread at all since the summer sets were revealed. I got the Batmobile set when I was in London and I really like it, I think it’s one of the best Batmobiles made so far although I wish it had some more play features. Is there any more news on the D2C set? If it’s a mid July VIP early access then we should be seeing it any day now right?
