  1. Years ago I had a wish to build a truck. And.. I had plenty of white bricks. So I googled some white trucks and it just happened that I found a Scania T-cab wrecker truck from Slades Garage. Somehow I even got in contact with Matt, the driver (and owner?) of the truck. I contacted him for more pics and features of the truck. But.. he didn't replay in time. The first version of my model had pneumatic features on it. Many of functions where wrong. Then.. months later fellow Mocker - Dennis from Netherlands - discovered my moc and offered me few more pics of the truck from one of the truck-shows. That gave me opportunity to observe the details more closely and build a better version, a second version. And this time I went for remote control features. But - as the electric motors were stronger than previous pneumatics (and they also took more space) the result was more fragile. So there was a second rebuild, a third version with entirely new chassis, built out of lego technick. So.. after something like three years and countless iterations, I consider the moc finished. It has eight functions - all four by two channels are used: - Driving (XL motor - channel 1) - Steering (M motor - channel 1) - Left outtrigger (M motor - channel 2) - Right outtrigger (M motor - channel 2) - Raise / lower main boom (L motor - channel 3) - Underlift (M motor - channel 3) - Extract / detract main boom (L motor - channel 4) - Spool (M motor - channel 4)
  2. Patients, my friend, patients. i am working on something... mm.. emm.. nop.. not giving them up this time. Yep - them, there are more than one project being actively worked on. Thou I haven't posted few projects I've finished a while ago, actually.. And it just happens that in two weeks I'll meet my fellow Lug-mates who have a good camera. I guess it's time for some photo shooting then.
  3. It's long gone in pieces and I have no intention to build something I've built once. Sorry...
  4. Thanks for the comments About the hood - hard to tell now. It was years ago. Maybe it was a decision between - plate higher or lower. Obviously I've chosen the second variant. Could be other reasons. Noone will ever know that.
  5. It has been a while since I've introduced you to my early history of Model Team scale and type MOCs I have built years ago. I have to appoligise to the ones who have been looking for more, because there is a lot more to show. Let me correct this mistake and present to you the next page in my LEGO car building history booklet. It's Jeep Wrangler Rubicon - three door version. This was the first MOC I've built using exatly zero white bricks. Maybe it is a bit hard to tell from the sunny background, but the color is dark red. Back in those days we didn't have the new tires in this diameter, therefore I didn't have any other choice than to use those bubble tires. Hard to tell now, which ones would look better for this offroader. Anyways. To tell the story further - it is a three door version. Everything opens. Doors, trunk, hood - all were functional. And of course, as for these cars - the black roof can be detached. It actually consisted of three parts, which you could detach independent. There was one bit on top of the driver, similar one on top of the front passenger. And then the biggest part at the rear. Oh yea.. now, when I see the pics, it was quite a challenge to build the nose, the part which gets narrower. Aaand... the front grille. But all legit. Nothing glued or stressed.Yep... that's it for now. Hope you like it. Feel free to leave some comments or ask any questions about it if you have any. I hope I still would remember the details about it.See ya soon. Hopefully sooner that in two years from now :)Rolic
  6. Thanks guys for nice compliments. Glad you like my old MOC. It's a pity it's long gone in pieces to blend into other - newer MOCs. Cheers.
  7. Alright.. Here's something classic and muscle - the mighty Shelby Mustang from year 1965 in it's original white + blue stripes color schema. So.. it turns out - it is only 3,5 years ago since I started to use some more color in my models - other than white I mean. I really like how the outdoor pictures turned out. For instance - in the next one it does really look like in the same scale as the building, thou the building is of course a real one. This model used some quite interesting techniques and details I think. Take a look at those rims. They are actually steering wheels. But stuffed inside those old type tires - they fit and stay there very well. So does the red break calipers. These do stay in place as the wheels go. Apart from all the historical models - this one I really regret taking apart. A sad moment to the humanity I'd say :) But... at that moment I didn't have enough bricks to keep it in one piece and build another car. So... hope you enjoy this old American beauty. As always - more pics at my flicker album here: Feel free to let me know what you think. See ya next time :) Cheers.
  8. Thanks guys for the compliments. Good luck Lundgren. Do you want to know that I have fully made it RC ? It uses 8 functions, meaning - I take all 4x2 channels to operate it. Took more than year to finish it. I even now I think how to improve it all. Buuut.. that's an other topic to chat about :)
  9. Oh my..... that's just ..... oh my... I can't stop laughing (and eventually waking up my kids....)... woow... uuhh..
  10. Hahahahahaha.... I haven't seen the episode, but it does sound hillarious already. Do you have a youtube link or something??
  11. Thanks Jeroen Ottens, sure that's the plan. Thanks grum64 Thanks Rishab N , but I'm sure - the best is yet to come :) No prob. Milan. Every triggered memory is a compliment to my work. Thanks.
  12. Here's another picture in my LEGO history book. Ok.. not really a book, but some sort of booklet it could be for sure. At year 2011 I already had quite decent white brick collection and I wanted to see - how curvy I can go. So I looked for one of the craziest and curviest rare supercars I could find. This British beauty turned up in the google image search - so, let's build it. The side intakes and the small increase to the rear turned out quite good, I think. Take a close look - it is not increase by one plate heigh. It is by half plate heigh. It's quite tricky, but have never failed me since then. Whenever I have enough room to make it for the slight window side line increase - I do it. I don't remember now, but I think this is more or less one of the first models I started to use blueprints and LEGO-grid to stick to the scale 1 : 15. If you want more info about that method - just let me know. Of course - apart from curvy exterior if features some funcion too. Doors open, trunk, hood - all three open too. Yea.. this one is middle engine supercar - therefore the engine cover is separate from the trunk lid which has a speak spoiler installed to. I'm really proud of the door-window frame and how strong the roof turned out. It could support it's own weight without any damage. As always - link to the flicker album: Hope you like it Cheers.
  13. Thanks LeocornoProductions Thanks Rishab N - yea, front does look better than rear.

Wooow. Such a lovely building. And all the details. Can't stop exploring the pics over and over again..
  15. Exactly. To develope children imagination - that's still the main goal of the LEGO sets with more than one instruction in them, I think. And even me - soon 30 years - I do like to see what else I can build out of the pile of bricks I receive in the box. For me as AFOL - sometimes the B (and sometimes even the A) model is not all about the looks. It's quite often more about the techniques there has been used. And they do differ quite often between the A and B models. So - try it. You may actually like it ;). There has been sets which I have bought already as donor sets for some of my MOCs. But if it happens that I actually like the set - I do the building process from page one to page last.. all the books. And if possible - together with my daughter (and hopefully my son will join us soon too).
  16. Let's continue posting here on EB with yet another historical LEGO model of mine. This time it's a one of a kind supercar - Maybach Exelero. I know - it should be black. But as I said in the other post - I didn't have many pieces to work with in other colors back in 2009. I only had white. But I liked the model - so I built it. That simple. Done. :) I also did a logo stand which I think turned out quite good. For that I have to say thanks to another great LEGO car builder - Ryan Link. He did an excellent logo stand for his Saleen and Ferrari. Of course - model features openable doors and hood. Thou I didn't find any picture if the trunk (if there is such) does open. So... I didn't do that. If you can find a pic of it open, or a statement that it doesn't (or you know by fact that it doesn't) - please let me know. Who knows - maybe I'll give the model another shot cause the way I work around the model now has changed a lot. And we do have wider variety of pieces now too. For instance - we didn't have 1x3 tiles back then. Now we do. And would have used some of those for the integrated spoilers. Ok.. this is more or less it for now. As always - you can see more pics on my Flicker album. https://www.flickr.c...57624577420820/ Hope you still like it. See ya next time. Cheers.
  17. Nop... as far as I remember - it was quite strong. Even the roof, which if fact was quite a problem for me for other models.
  18. Thanks. I'll try to post some more of my albums the coming days.
  19. Alright. Let's start the life of me in EuroBricks with an older MOC of mine. This one was created back in August, 2010. It was time when I have had just finished working and training with digital LEGO building applications so I knew more or less what kind of bricks I'd need to build something... worthy :). Many years after many over flicker recognized me as a white and curvy car builder. Can't blame them, since I had only white bricks in decent quantity. So.. few more white and curvy cars gonna follow this one from me too (if I want to reach the 10 post limit and upgrade my profile to my standards :)) So. This is it - one of my first MOCs out of real bricks which was built after an actual car and was more or less in the same techniques I'm working now too. Unfortunately the model is no longer "alive". I started keeping (and eventually upgrading) models only after 2012 (which was my New-Years promisse). Feel free to explore my Noble M12 album over flicker by following this link: https://www.flickr.c...57624833096162/ You'll see that the model features openable doors, hood and trunk and has nice and detailed interior as well as engine compartment. So.. Hope you still like it (despite it is quite old and forgotten) Cheers.
