I'll have to try this in a bit. Looks like I can't view the posts yet, is it members-only? -
I've been stalking this thread since yesterday. Hopefully the Plant Monster didn't bite off more than it could chew.

Oh wow, so the rumor is true? We could have a new record holder for most pieces in a set in the near future.

And it doesn't make it any better that the Shrunken Headquarters polybag is nowhere to be found where I live. On the bright side regarding the battlepack, I noticed that the figures have the square of paint of their necks that are indicative of the torsos being made somewhere other than China. That's a step up if there ever was one. -

Seconded. When I see something reported on Brickset I expect it to be real. Between an increasing number of EB-sourced sets/prices being put into the official database and the Nexo Knights article from last week, I'm significantly less inclined to trust what they say. -
If I remember correctly this thread started as a split from the 2016 thread on July 4th due to the Yoda's Hut rumor, which later turned out to be false. Since then the mods have decided to install themselves as the OP of every rumor thread, so the current OP must have been made beforehand and later merged.

LEGO makes a non-ABS prototype brick
BrickJagger replied to Master_Data's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Hopefully these new bricks don't crack as easily as the current ones do. The "armpit" crack is the bane of my existence. Hopefully this is a solution. Only using sustainable products is a great step forward as well- 38 replies

Lots of great figures in this round. I was torn between the Royal Guard, Medusa and the Thespian.

LEGO Nexo Knights 2017 Discussion

Picked up two copies of the new Stone Monster pack today at the Lego Store. Contrary to popular belief, I actually think it's a good army builder (If it wasn't for the price ) and the two "generic" Stonies look great in the front lines of the army. Still have just fifteen Stone Monsters though, as I'm quickly discovering that they're much harder to army-build than the Lava Monsters. -

I trust your brother-in-law's nephew's father, and Blocks Magazine is clearly a highly reputable source. My pet chupacabra actually told me the same thing, so I guess the news has been out for awhile. Off to Nepal! -

I think this is what will happen. I'll be happy if we can get one more wave of five sets or so that include Monstrox and some new monsters. Hopefully a new Castle theme will be able to come out next June aswell. To Mark: We appreciate how hard you've worked on this theme, and in my opinion you did a great job. Thank you. -

So the summer wave is still coming out, but does Mark's post also deny that the theme is ending this year? He didn't really sepcify. -

There were actually 15-20 summer 2014 Chima sets on the shelves at my local TRU as late as this January. -
LEGO Nexo Knights 2017 Discussion
BrickJagger replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
The summer wave is in all likelihood not being cancelled, as @Lyichir has already explained. What I find disappointing is that we'll never actually get Monstrox, the main villain of the series. All it would take is one exclusive set with him in it, ala Kingdoms Joust, and I would be satisfied. With all of this buffoonery surrounding the potential end of the theme and the "cancellation of the summer wave", take note that none of this is confirmed and is all speculation stemming from an unknown and unverified source. For all we know Nexo could be ending with a small wave in 2018, similar to how Ninjago was going to end in 2013 with a small "Final Battle" wave. If Lego even kept Chima alive for a full six waves, why would they cut off Nexo after three? If Nexo truly ends I hope that Lego will make the right choice and bring both Castle and Space back next year. Purists of both themes have been starving for almost half a decade and even those efforts were lackluster at best. If Lego decides to roll out another uninspired line aimed at 5 y/o's similar to Castle 2013, I don't see myself buying any sets from them next year. Besides, there's plenty of older Castle sets that I don't currently own and I could spend 2018 buying them second hand. Listen to us, Lego. There are dozens of individual comments on that Brickset article asking you to bring Castle back immediately, and you would be wise to do it. We clearly want some new, innovative designs and you'll only hurt yourselves if you take yet another "break year".
