    Personally I think the point of any franchise should be to become as confusing as possible through remakes/reboots/alternate timelines and various illogical recasting of the same character.

    I like the look of Rex. it feels like a good version of a "cooler" emmet, which is potentially what Finn would care about as a teenager.

    I think it's definitely a reference to another film about space. The Spaceship house even has a similar building technique for the little tail fin things stickin' on out as another pop culture vehicle they made a set for.

    I'd rather have cameos from the original series, personally. I feel like they have a more quirky vibe fitting for The LEGO Movie, but either way would be amazing.

    With the rumored space storyline I could see them including references from classic franchises like ALIEN, or Planet of The Apes. I didn't bother to look up who has the rights to those right now because I'm lazy.
