I agree we’re missing out on an Area 51 set (could include the rocket sled) and a Nuke the Fridge set but compare those two things to what we’re missing from the other movies… RAIDERS Bar fight, Map Room, Sallah in general (I know we’re finally getting him) Bantu Wind, Submarine, Opening the Ark scene TEMPLE OF DOOM Pretty much anything that isn’t the car chase and the minecart sequence. We’re missing the nightclub, the magic raft, the entirety of the Palace, most of the temple of doom itself, the rock crushing machine, and the classic famous bridge scene LAST CRUSADE Young Indy scene, that first boat fight, library+sewers, the whole castle situation, the blimp (zeppelin) that they would never make because it’s too big, that tank they would never make because it’s too Evil, the grail temple itself and a minifigure scale Petra facade. Crystal Skull we’re really only missing a few fun scenes from the beginning but every other movie is missing half the classic moments in my opinion.

Back in 2008 when I was a kid I had the camp set with the ant pieces and then I saw the movie and I was disappointed because I thought the giant ants were going to be scale accurate to the lego sets and honestly the worst thing I can say about that movie is that the ants should have been larger.

just a small set with Mac and Oxley fighting over some ants would be fine - we already got everything else in 2008 it’s honestly the most well-covered of all the movies in terms of scenes and characters. I’d take some sets from Crystal Skull (because it’s a good movie) but I’m glad we’re getting new and missing characters from the original trilogy first

If it has play features I think nostalgia would win me over and I’d buy it. I don’t think I’d spend that much on a static representation of such a dynamic scene. Can’t wait to see it either way.

I don’t think it’s an easter egg or a hint I think it was just a specific piece of architecture on their mind the past year or two. Just funny that after 15 years, and a reboot of the entire theme, we finally get the grail temple in a lego set and it’s itty bitty

Y’all see the tiny petra grail temple in the Wonders of The World gift with purchase set leak? Fun timing on that I but I wish it was about 10x larger and came with an old knight minifigure

Unlikely but… What if the reason they’re not including the biplane in the fighter plane attack set is so they can include it in a $160 big blimp set

At $160 I could see it being multiple iconic props - Didn’t harry potter have a set like that? They could probably do the idol, the holy grail , one magic stone and a hat at that price

they looked like nazis to anyone who’s seen the movies, but you’re right - no insignias were used. I was specifically thinking of how much of the action in Young Indiana Jones is set in battlefields of WWI and how lego doesn’t seem keen to make sets explicitly about war, which makes Young Indiana Jones very difficult to design sets for.

It’s free in low quality on youtube :) I’m only halfway through but so far there hasn’t been a whole lot I’d like to see them make sets out of - maybe Phantom Train of Doom? With the hot air balloon? But if they made a Young Indy set about a train it would want to be the circus train instead so that’s not a great option either. Has the official lego group stance on war-based sets changed in the last 5 years or so? Genuinely curious, I haven’t been keeping up, but the nazi minifigures were already pushing it if I remember correctly. Very excited to hopefully see these sets soon. Temple of Doom is gonna be a must buy for me regardless of what it looks like because I missed the first one.

It's not one piece. I saw a picture somewhere online recently that showed the pieces separated and specified it uses a certain size bar. for the life of me i can't recall where I saw it (probably twitter) but if I see it again I'll let you know.
