  1. The models that M-Longer makes, have a high quantity off Technic, but the esthetics of Model Team, like to see more of those by TLG
  2. This thingy would be nice. A very big one? For parts maybe, playability would be lees with a mega size BWE bigger is not always better. A Xerion in the same size as 8482 would be nice and playable. But it could use more detail and functions. And RC would be real cool!!!
  3. No offense taken Jim. Let's just keep it descend, there is already enough hate in the world. No need for name calling here. This is also a non adult reaction on your behalf.
  4. Sorry that i don't understand but what does GIF mean???
  5. Thats fine if someone else likes it, I am just giving my opinion on the IP car. The only way it could interest me is maybe for parts. I am looking for a second hand 8880 supercar now to get a lit of black bricks for my old skool Actros and de side tipping trailer I want to build behind it.
  6. I couldn't care less even if it was chrome all over. What I would like is chrome exhausts on the Volvo and Claas. Chromed plates as the reflecting side off the rear view mirrors.
  7. Bring back Model Team!! With a huge set, something like the MAN TGA dump truck with drawbar trailer and the Volvo wheelloader from MLonger, that would be really cool, even if it costs like €800,-
  8. Indeed a good Volvo EW160E and Claas Xerion 5000 VC will have more functionality and playability then a BWE or a IP car. Both kids and adults would be more likely to pay big money for one of these then for a BWE or car.
  9. This is making my problem of choosing the MOC to build after the beautiful Backhoe V2 by Jurgen Krooshoop bigger.
  10. That would come in handy indeed. An E configuration would be nice to, with 2,3 or 4 inlets on one side along the length of the main line, so that you can put switches besides each other and connect them one the mail line. It would look like multiple T-pieces next to each other.
  11. TLG should take over SBrick and make a decent control program for Android, IPhone and windows phone.
  12. The 42025 cargoplane has also a lot of mimi LA's. Also a good stock of white parts. And if you are looking for old skool parts, 8880 and 8460 have a lot of useful parts.
  13. I have watched the video and photos multiple times and still can not believe it's Lego.
  14. Wow, quite the story there. But how you said it, that is oh so true. Just accepting each others meaning is the best way to go. In the end we all have the same goal, having fun with our toys.
  15. That I will do to when I am finishing my Actros. I will buy third party pneumatic hoses. And I am going to paint the pneumatic cylinders on the white crane white.
  16. I agree with this, Lego should not consist off very large amounts of custom parts. But in some places for functionality is fine with me. In case of trail trucks and competition with them, sometimes Lego parts aren't strong enough, so some custom parts could be needed. As for wheels, I hate the wheels TLG puts on the loaders 8265 and 42030, they just look off. The tires on 8265 are also ugly, no loader has balloon tires. The wheels on 42030 are wrong to, the tires are to low and the rims to big. The diameter is ok, but tire/rim should be about 50/50. And the rims should be closed with no gaps. When I am going to build one or both loaders M-Longer has made, I will use the rims Efferman made for it and have to find some third party tires to fit them. I will use the rim he made for the 8265 loader with tires that match the tires in diameter used in the original one.
  17. But when I look at a lot of other systems in hobbies, for instance model truck building. There are also a limited amount of parts. They are even custom for a specific truck or trailer. For builders of these trucks it is the challenge to build something new with custom made parts that makes it fun. And I think that among AFOLs it can be a lot of fun pushing the boundaries off Lego with better or custom made parts. If TLG should start a service with custom parts on demand. Then a lot of purist might not have a problem with it, because TLG made it. But for me it would be exactly the same if someone like Efferman would develop such a part. As someone said earlier in this thread, Lego adapted a lot of parts during the years and developed a lot of new ones to, so what is the difference?
  18. I think that a hobby can mean that you may find ways to make it better. I have seen people modify 1:24 scale trucks by modifying and making parts themselves. I think in that way you can build something that is there in real life, but companies just don't make it because of expenses. I can understand that TLG does not make all parts we would want. I saw a program on NGC last see about Lego, I was blown away by the costs of making and maintaining those molds and keeping them in shape. So I think it sometimes can make the hobby even better by modifying or making parts yourself.
  19. Maybe You can ask Sariel, Blackbird or Jurgen Krooshoop, they have experience with SBrick.
