  1. Why Lego competitors and offbrands are a good thing and ultimately benefit us as Lego fans. They should be encouraged, supported and protected.
  2. Don't worry I got this covered... I've probably complained about every single recent Marvel set and the yet to be released GOTG sets.
  3. Oof that bad eh? I'm going to wait for Disney+... hopefully it's atleast better than War for Wakanda. Felt like I wasted my entire night watching that movie.
  4. Well on the bright side of being very cynical/critical... you need a lot of patience but get to save a lot of money! While I have lowered my standards and bought badly designed sets (for the minifigs), I've regretted each time I've done so. I mean I guess they're both fun sets for kids despite being overpriced... but they're in no way well designed! Maybe the Goat Boat would've stood a chance if they scaled it up to around Destiny Bounty size and the two goats weren't so damn ugly.
  5. I would say no, it's looking more likely that Quantumania is just a throw away movie and unlikely to be a success. It's content for the sake of having content. https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/ant_man_and_the_wasp_quantumania
  6. Another observation and missed opportunity about the Bowie, the rings are also supposed to fold in flight mode. I have my doubts we'll ever get a UCS Bowie, Milano remake seems more likely. Pro/Cons: + Adam Warlock - Doesn't resemble the actual ship - Made up features vs. actual features - No Gamora, no High Evolutionary, and green Drax
  7. Yeah Lego completely picked the wrong cockpit, just reusing the Benatar piece would've been a much better fit. Doing a side by side comparison, the designers could've and should've done much better. vs.
  8. Due to space limitations, which would you rather have the Quinjet or the Bowie if you could only pick one? Imo both are pretty mid and would require some serious modding to look excellent, and both sets only have 2 good minifigs with the rest being filler - Cap America/Loki and Drax/Adam Warlock
  9. Hmm not too sure about the Bowie, it's not terrible but it's not great. It doesn't help that I'm not a fan of the actual design of the ship either. I kinda just want the set for Drax and Adam Warlock...
  10. Hehe well I'm already doing my part, I will never buy a buildable figure (that isn't Bionicle), but clearly it's not enough... maybe rioting/review bombing is the next step Also you have to be honest, Lego Marvel is one of the laziest and low effort themes. We get endless cheap mechs and the most buildable figures which are all poorly designed, low quality, rush out quick to maximize profit type of sets. Even the non-mechs/buildable figures are also garbage... Morbius car, every single War of Wakanda and Love & Thunder set, Sanctum Workshop, Spiderman vs. Vulture... all garbage. Getting a good Marvel set is a rare occasion, and honestly feels like a fluke each time.
  11. There wasn't enough pushback on buildable figures... and now we suffer.
  12. Daily Bugle > Rivendell Imo taking into consideration the set as a whole from design, play, display, and value, the Daily Bugle is still Lego's best set ever released.
  13. Rivendell is nice but I really dislike how wide the set is, it doesn't use up space efficiently at all. I hope the Marvel team continues to build tall on any UCS/modular set, nothing bigger than 32x32 baseplate.
  14. Factoring in shipping costs, you will never really save buying full sets on Bricklink.
  15. I never liked Indiana Jones, so only judging the leaks as Lego sets alone... they look terrible. Hopefully the diorama of the rolling ball scene will offer some redemption for this theme.
  16. UCS Y-Wing, X-Wing, and recent R2D2 are the only good Star Wars UCS sets. All other SW UCS sets have serious flaws.
  17. For me it's good news, the best version of Sandman was already included in the Bugle. anything else would've been inferior and waste of the minifig/parts budget. Lizard had such a small presence in NWH that it was always unlikely. I want an updated Green Goblin + Glider and there's a better chances of getting Electro now.
  18. The Great Deku Tree looks incredible, day 1 order for me
  19. Ouch X-Mansion looks terrible, the Lego X-Men lose streak continues.
  20. The Daily Bugle being one giant minifig display stand... I'm close to running out of free space for more placements.
  21. Adam Warlock minifig looks great, hope the set he comes with is good. Starlord face mask looks incomplete withour hair, good thing I'm not a fan of any Lego helmets. Wouldn't buy it even if it was good. Also storing scissors, pens, etc is going to damage the pieces really easy, make sure you put a cup inside.
  22. Interesting! I would argue that Lego X-Men wasn't popular because of the franchise or X-Men not being as popular, but because Lego only ever designed trash, low quality, and uninteresting sets for X-Men. Your solution to this problem is... to make even more trash and poorly designed sets which buildable figures are notorious for. You don't fix an issue by making it even worse.
  23. If you email just the generic service distro it'll be a waste of time, but if you cc' an executive with a title such as, Senior Director, Head of Americas Customer Development or Chief Commercial Officer (use LinkedIn) you will absolutely get a resolution. In many cases the resolution will side in favour of the customer unless there's evidence of clear fraud to avoid the potential of bad PR, or wasting an executive's valuable time.
  24. You're kinda screwed to be honest, you're best options are now to buy sets from big retailers like Amazon or Walmart. If there's broken or missing pieces take it up with the retailer and get a refund rather than submitting a request to Lego via missing pieces. You can also try emailing service@lego.com and cc'ing one of the key executives asking to review your case and reconsider your banning.
