  1. Not a good sign with Lego's noticeably worst quality control... I literally had to grab my knife to shave off excess plastic around the injection molds on some pieces on a recent new set. Ultimately Lego has an incentive to ban people from replacement parts, as it's probably a significant expense requiring high shipping costs and expensive labour since it's not done by machines. Lego saves costs by cutting down on quality control and banning people from ordering replacement parts... it's a win-win for the company.
  2. Wow i'm very impressed! I never played Genshin Impact, but still looks like a great set. What Lego Ideas finalizes as sets... never ceases to disappoint me
  3. Lego needs to move their design HQ to Korea.
  4. Better off just getting a job... You need to invest in a good camera, microphone, lighting, learn how to script and edit, etc. to make good content on Yotuube.
  5. Hehe I really like the Bugle, Sanctum, Benatar, New Asgard, and Marvel CMFs At the time... I was thinking Lego Marvel doesn't miss and the high quality sets would just keep on continuing.
  6. Is Hogwarts Legacy canon? I haven't played it but I've read it wasn't a game with a strong narrative/story... more of Ubisoft style open world game. Maybe I was a bit harsh on the theme. It's unfair to say there was no innovation, as the wands like you pointed out were a really innovative piece, and they do have some innovative sets like the HP Icons set, movable Hedwig/Phoenix/Horntail sets. The "modular" style of the castle room sets is a very tired concept but they managed to freshen it up a bit with the newest Room of Requirement set.
  7. Oof sticker quote plaque and sticker Indian Jones logo... in the collector set. Hope that's not a sign of what to expect going forward.
  8. I think Lego needs to seriously consider sunsetting Harry Potter as a theme. Yes, it's beloved but there's simply no growth in the IP until JK Rowling starts seriously writing again... which is most likely never. Also, imo Lego has taken theme for granted as well, there's not been much innovation in the way of sets. Personally, I would like to see Lego partner with Riot and build sets around Arcane/Runeterra especially now that their partnership with Blizzard is effectively over.
  9. Pretty sure I ranted about this set before ... but personally I hate it and imo it's not good set at all.
  10. Hehe I won't say who's the worst, but I find ALL Lego Ambassador Network reviewers to be very samey. Not a single original or critical thought amongst them, and they all use the same language when reviewing a set as if they were given talking points or a script directly from Lego Marketing. Must be great for Lego though, instead of paying salaries they can just "pay" in product at a fraction of the cost for free marketing.
  11. Lego Minifigs should not be valued at $4-5 when talking about internal set budget allocations. I see Jang do this quite often... it actually costs Lego pennies to manufacture minifigs at scale.
  12. So with all the "confidential" leaks from the Lego survey being pretty much identical with no changes, I think its safe to say that X-Mansion will be disappointing.
  13. Yea Shang Chi himself was good as a minifig even without arm or leg printing, but the rest I dumped into my parts bin never to be seen of again. I want to mod the dragon a bit further mainly plug up the open technic holes with some blue effect pieces.
  14. Shang Chi 2 and Eternals 2 are a go. I have to say I kinda regret buying some of the Eternals sets (even on sale). For Shang Chi I only bought Battle of the Ancient Village and the Water Guardian polybag, both sets were excellent imo.
  15. I'm going to exchange Attack on New Asgard for Nya's Water Dragon EVO this weekend... can't wait lol.
  16. Why can't we get a licensed theme where mechs actually make sense. Please Lego, Evangelion, Escaflowne, Gundam or even Pacific Rim. Cheap mechs just screams lowest effort to maximize profit. It's when you don't want to pay your designers to spend the time needed to design something with quality.
  17. Oh oops... hmm what else could be $500.00+ and probably be disappointing? I'm not convinced it'll be Avengers Tower like everyone is hoping for... $500.00 is Rivendell sized, and I doubt they'll have Avengers Tower be significantly taller than the Daily Bugle.
  18. I have a feeling the $500 set will be Captain America's shield. The gimmick will be that it's wearable with rubber straps meaning it will have to be a huge but simplistic set. It'll also come with a display stand that also has to be relatively huge as well, and one exclusive minifig
  19. TBH the Quinjet isn't even that iconic in Marvel, it's only iconic in Lego Marvel since Lego tends to prioritize vehicles over locations for sets. In universe it's a borderline everyday military plane that both Avengers and Shield uses.
  20. Comic-based Avengers Tower would fit better with the Daily Bugle, and in all honestly, MCU Avenger's Tower would be pretty boring.
  21. Oof the recent Ninjago sets are so good... found Lloyd's Golden Ultra Dragon @30% off and now I'm getting the urge to buy more
  22. Ninjago is Lego's best original theme of all time (even better than Castle or Space). Also one of the most consistent themes in pushing out a great balance of well designed sets, minifigs, and fun sets for play.
  23. Dioramas are the answer to the Marvel theme's problem of low quality sets. The Marvel theme will not survive off cheap mechs and buildable figures It doesn't even have to be similar to the Star Wars dioramas with the black base and printed quote tile, it can be just like New Asgard - compact, detailed, and affordable.
  24. I can afford it by not buying Rivendell and using up my VIP That said... it needs to be a good set on par with the Bugle or Sanctum.
  25. I pick out specific CMFs, why pay for figures you don't even want? I'll try to put this as nicely as possible... people who enjoy the "thrill of the hunt" are overly simplistic, naive, and in tune with their base level instincts rather than being rational/logical people thinking of what's in their own best interest..
