  1. Really nice scene - the curtains in dark red are amazing and stand out.
  2. I always prioritize other MOCs higher. Maybe I just like all the other MOC ideas better. Maybe I am even afraid of MOCing a larger ship again. And maybe some day I will do it, eventually. Thanks for encouraging me. :-)
  3. Noone in the history of BoBS has been able to uphold the speed of more than three properties per month for more than four or five months. Sure, that means you will have to license your stuff later, but there will always be times where you cannot build too much anymore. Also there are challenges, ships, MRCA, story MOCs, duels, etc. that may (or may not) require MOC time. Also with properties, as others have said, you can always go larger. Now try to MOC three large properties in one month, really really hard already. More than three royal properties is definitely impossible I'd say. :-) Also I cannot echo the call for quality enough. Early on in the BoBS days I was all in for the money all the time, and rushed many MOCs towards the end of each month - which today I regret. Had I only waited for some days, lighting conditions and thus presentation would have been much better. Or I would have added some more details to the MOC, increased quality, maybe even rebuilt something. I have definitely reached the point that EGS and DBs does not matter at all to me anymore, and only MOC quality does. I assume we will all get there at some point, that EGS DBs aren't important to us anymore. And we all can always improve on our quality: So why not shift our focus immediately. Great MOCs in your flickr account will last forever, and even now people may find my MOCs from months ago and favour them. Properties and DBs though are just entries in a giant excel sheet. Noone will favour those. :-)
  4. So much story, and so many aspects and details in this scene. And many, many beautiful detials. A very interesting take on the orchid. Not really resembling any orchid I have ever seen, but we are talking about the supreme orchid in the Brick Seas, after all, so why not? Those pillars give the whole thing a somewhat fantasy-alien-conspiracy-appearance, without making it unrealistic. I like! Great work on the dense foliage (the red flowers are great!), and especially the curving of the river is amazing. Wonderful work overall!
  5. An extraordinary MOC. Beautfiul details, perfect execution, amazing presentation. You understand to use the focus of your camera. Just wow! The flowers at the windows are just so cleverly done. Using the ingots at the edges was a fantastic idea. All the architectural details have been executed flawlessly. Wonderful MOC! I personally think it does not 100% match Jameston as it has been depicted in the first MOCs, but definitely matches the style of BoBS in general. That is my only criticism, though. The MOC itself is just perfect.
  6. What a nice addition to the Brick Seas those gunboats are. Well done. I love the colourscheme of the second ship, the way it is curved, the use of masonry bricks, the way the sails are attached. Very, very nice.
  7. RNTC: "We have a great idea to fight inflation in the Brick Seas." Random NPC: "Oh that is wonderful! And how do you intend to do that?" RNTC: "It's easy. We just make people give us their money. The rich, especially." Random NPC: "But why would they just give it to you?" RNTC: "We will just make some great promises... Ah yes, and they will have no influence at all on what we do with their money." Random NPC: "Ok, so you get their money, but then what?" RNTC: "Easy. Once we have all their money we will start investing it.. and just keep losing. And swoof, the money is gone." Random NPC: "Who might even fall for that? I mean, even greedy Eslandolans will not be THAT stupid, right? Right? ..." Great PDF, I loved reading this report. Well done.
  8. What a marvellous interior. The wooden walls are brilliantly done. Also excellent posing of the sleeping uncle. Perfect quality all around, simply great!
  9. That yellow line in the walls is perfect. Mind if I borrow the technique at some point? :-)
  10. Now that is what they call a quality MOC - 100%. Lovely work. You can really feel that it is built around the trees. Wonderful. And those flowers at the cliffs, such beauty!
  11. I love how dark red + black + gold is becoming your (and so also MAESTRO's) signature style. Next time just put something behind the windows, please. Because aside from that there are many beautiful details in your scene.
  12. I especially love the forced perspective in the first image. Lovely shot. Also the drunk captain is really well done.
  13. Really, really good work. I would like to see some larger images, but I only say this because I'd love to explore this great scene even more.
  14. That is really cool, actually. I love this balloon-boat. :-)
  15. Ahhh, the complete rendering looks a lot better than the half-rendered image. Another solid addition to Jameston, though nothing spectacular considering your usual standards. ;-) However I do think those colours match perfectly and also the pink is a wonderful choice for a chocolate shop. Also the window frames at the lower floor are really cool.
  16. The contrasts of the different environments are so well done in this MOC. Also those statues, fantastic.
  17. The roof and those bulleye-windows are wonderful. Nice little scene. :-)
  18. Very creative approach to corn plants, I like this a lot. Nice work. For the future I'd suggest to rather use a dark baseplate and put green plates on top of it. Here you have grass as your base, and then have soil/mud/clay on top of the grass, which is rather unnatural. Nice cottage design, the roof is great!
  19. The brickbuilt spider is really cool. Great work here.
  20. Greatly crowded interior, impressive roof design and a superb statue - really nice work!
  21. Maybe the most creative mine we have so far. Brilliant, I absolutely adore this one.
  22. Nice small LDD intro scene. The cliff scene is fantastic, superb execution as always. The way rockwork, soil and greenery blend into each other is outstanding. The small mixes of dark orange look great, and the vegetation cover on top of the rocks adds a lot. Fantastic work.
  23. The white glove is such a lovely addition, and those windows look absolutely beautiful.
  24. The underwater scene is really, really well done. Those flowers at the shores look fantastic as well. Really, really nice MOC with some cool photographs.
