Disney Princesses 2019 - Rumors & Discussion
Soupperson1 replied to Robert8's topic in LEGO Licensed
I think it would be nice to have the teal dress just because the Princess brand uses it for Ariel all the time. It appears 41160 is an under the sea themed set (based on the leaked tail piece) so no Scuttle unfortunately. Abu is more likely as Jasmine and Agrabah appears in two sets. The high piece per piece ratios could suggest new moulds as Belle’s castle introduced three and its price per piece was 13.4 c. The fact Aladdin has a hair/cap mould, Jasmine has a hair mould and both could use Jasmine’s old leg piece means new moulds would go elsewhere. We could possibly get a new mould for Rajah if they don’t want to use the tiger cub again and they find the City one not cutesy enough. Yes minidolls are expensive to produce, but they compat this by putting less of them in sets and they don’t affect the price per piece ratios. Disney is an issue, but the price per pieces have never been this high outside Juniors and that one Belle set. -
The Lego Movie 2 - The Second Part 2019 Set Discussion

I think it was FBTB or some other smaller LEGO news site had a plot “leak”, it featured an Oz cameo in the Sistar System. They said to take the leak with a grain of salt though. :) -
Disney Princesses 2019 - Rumors & Discussion
Soupperson1 replied to Robert8's topic in LEGO Licensed
Here’s the updated info: 41158 Disney Princess Jasmine Tower, $9.99, 49 pieces 41159 Disney Princess Carriage Ride, $19.99, 91 pieces 41160 Disney Princess Ariel’s Castle, $24.99, 115 pieces 41161 Aladdin and Jasmine’s Palace, $29.99, 193 pieces 41162 Princess Ariel, Aurora, and Tiana’s Royal Celebration, $39.99, 282 pieces 41163 Disney Princess Rapunzl Tower, $9.99, 44 pieces Juding on the piece counts all but 41161 and 41162 are Juniors sets and even then those two sets don’t have great per piece ratios. XP I think they figure Pocahontas and Tiana aren’t popular enough to sell sets by themselves xP Since it’s likely juniors I’d imagine they’d focus on the mermaid angle, though they already have two for that. XP Maybe we’ll get Scuttle and another sister if we’re lucky. Frozen 2 sets won’t come out until August at the earliest so there’s a small chance we might get an addition set or two and that will be treated as it’s own theme. I really hope they don’t release Ariel in that pink dress again, we’ve already got it twice. xP I think it’s likely the palace set will feature her tail while the Royal Celebration set will feature her teal dress associated with the Disney Princess brand. -
We say Mia’s house in one of the books, she had a younger set of twin siblings too. It’ll be interesting to see if Daniel will be seen in the house or not. I thought they initially stated that the reboot would focus less on side characters not available in sets, obviously that was a big lie. XP I find it really irritating that they showcase various characters that little kids who watch the show will never get their hands on in physical form. I really don’t like the show’s (reboot and non reboot) trend of trying to force a villain into this peaceful theme. I think characters like Vicky and Lacy are fine as they just start off as kind of rude and become nice. That’s the reason I don’t want Alva in a set. I think Olivia’s mom is likely coming soon, though I can’t see her showing up amongst these sets. Jeremy seems unlikely as I can’t see them focusing on a male pop star over a female one, though I guess if he was to appear in a set it would be 41368 Andrea's Talent Show. It would be a bit annoying as he would be yet another blue eyed boy when we have so few eye colours for male mini dolls and we’re still missing Olivia’s skin tone to appear on one. We usually only get three or two male minidolls per wave and one is almost guaranteed to be Mia’s dad.

The Lego Movie 2 - The Second Part 2019 Set Discussion
Soupperson1 replied to Fenghuang0296's topic in Special LEGO Themes
According to Google LM was released 1st of Feb and the 2nd one will be released on the 8h, that’s not a months difference so November 1st is still a possibility There’s rumors that state they’ll be minidolls in the film itself but since there’s two Aquaman’s there could easily be two Dorothys etc. Either way I think a regular Wizard of Oz set would sell like hot cakes, so I’m surprised LEGO hasn’t released once yet. -

It’s a shame DC sets have gone from 2 desirable characters in each set to only one next year xP I’m really happy we’re getting Ocean Master though! The more non Batman villains the merrier! -

I think a return to the original of template of Friends is probably to gain new friends and then they’ll venture off into more unexplored territories. Anyway my thoughts on the sets are: * I’m interested to see what makes a Heart Box a Heart Box and is it even brick built? :P I think an exclusive animal in each should be expected, as I don’t think giving each girl one pet (for the most) across multiple sets worked out well. At the very least we’ll probably get new recolours across these smaller sets and maybe even new outfits for the mini-dolls. 41359 Heart Box Friendship Pack is the most interesting to me though since all the five girls have their own, will they really give the most expensive set to two new characters? * 41364 Stephanie's Buggy & Trailer sounds like it could be anything from a remake of the 2012 Pet Patrol or 2013 Olivia’s Beach Buggy. I wonder why they chose a buggy over a regular car as those seemed to sell pretty well. Maybe the medium sized piece count suggests a side build the buggy can interact with? I think Stephanie’s lifeguard outfit is a likely inclusion as it’s been promoted in various promotional materials. * 41365 Emma's Art Studio would be promising if it had a larger piece count. At least it’s a new concept and we’ll probably get some interesting recolours, builds and even stickers for the art. I wonder what’s keeping them from making a museum? * 41366 Olivia's Cupcake Cafe is the strangest set title to me because we got a café just last year and from what I can tell it didn’t sell that well. Perhaps the Cupcake part of the title really sold the 2016 set or something? XP I’m confused why Olivia is baking now, but I guess all the others baked at one point so why not her? Thankfully this suggests she’s the employee so she won’t be wearing one of those horribly designed tops they’ve given her so far. A new cupcake case mould would be welcome as all the accessory packs seem to have been retired. I also hope LEGO learnt it lesson about pairing up the girls and keeps it to a minimum, I really don’t understand the need when they all come in $10 sets. Could we finally get a hazel eyed girl or a grey eyed one who isn’t grinning evily? I can only hope. :P * 41367 Stephanie's Obstacle Course is probably the most unique sounding of all the sets, but once again last years Sports Arena sold pretty poorly and Im not sure how different this will be. It’s a pretty large piece count so I can’t imagine it just being obstacles. I think our token boy is almost guaranteed to be in this set, hopefully he’ll have Olivia’s skin colour for something new. * 41368 Andrea's Talent Show sounds intriguing but once again we just had her performance stage last year. The piece count for this set is huge so I’d be shocked if it wasn’t a building. I’m not sure how a theatre esc design would work with Friends though considering all the buildings have open backs and large windows at the front to let in light. * 41369 Mia's House is obviously a must buy for most Friends fans. I’ll be interested to see if they keep it as close to Olivia’s house in design as possible to try and ride its success. I originally thought this was a bland list but all the sets sound interesting when you start to think about them. I’ll be interested to see how different they all look from their previously released counterparts.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Soupperson1 replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Didn’t only one of the TLBM series 2 figures have a new mould? So it depends on the series. XP Just because the profit is paying for the free gift doesn’t mean they’d have to give us some a great one, we could’ve easily got a frame with nothing and no consumers would’ve turned away. -
Lego Financial Results January-June 2018
Soupperson1 replied to Khscarymovie4's topic in General LEGO Discussion
You don’t need to discuss it anymore but please check the annual reports from 2012 onwards, Friends has been in the top selling themes up to now. For others who are willing to discuss this further, it’s not just the characters that changed. The buildings are less curved and there is a stronger focus on consistent colours in each sets matching a girl’s main colours. Also I think the total lack of media (there’s only one English webisode online so far and it’s September, no books) didn’t help. Stephanie’s eyes are now a darker shade of blue, a small change yes but kids notice these things, -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Soupperson1 replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
But not all CMFs feature new moulds, this is on the same quality as those. Plus you’re paying for $75 for sets not the feebee. They could’ve easily just given the frame without the figure but they chose to give us a high quality one. :P -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours

The duck is recoloured yellowish orange too, it’s odd that they’d give this away for free considering a regular CMF is 4 bucks and this is of the same quality. -

I’m just happy we’re starting to get more light pink minifigures, in the past they barely used that colour for legs, hips and arms.

The LEGO Movie’s first wave had various sets based off different themes, I’m sure if this new wave if similar to that we’ll get at least one fantasy themed set.

Friends uses plenty of white for nearly every building, but I agree with the rest of your points.

At least the lack of Hammond might mean a Jurassic Park D2C around the time JW3 comes out but that might be wishful thinking. I’m just glad we have the four mains and Ian now.
