The previous reported 2020 sets will likely be the summer wave, which is why LEGO probably wanted them down. Strangely the cubes that were reported earlier are coming with these. They won’t have any magazines left for kids if they do that :P -

I did find it weird they included Flash. Surly he’s supposed to be one of the selling points of the ivy mech set to kids? More common characters like Batman and The Joker make more sense to me. The Jason Robin made sense too as he was only in a 4+ set and the magazine is for older kids. -

I think these sets all look fine, nothing is spectacular. If these weren’t frozen sets I think I’d likely skip on them if these prices remained, some of them are atrocious! The treehouse is my favourite set, but that one probably has the worst price. XP I believe there’s seven new moulds in total for the line. I think Anna’s hair will be the first of which to make its way into other sets. I’d love to see that in different colours! The new window in the jewelry set could possibly show up in next years Cinderella’s castle too. I too like Olaf’s new body, even if the hair is still missing! I’m a little saddened were loosing the building aspect of him though. One thing I noticed about him is one of his stones is hollow, I wonder what that oppening is for? I don’t think the Elsa is that bad. Sure aqua or light royal blue would’ve worked better, but whites okay. What I think is more annoying is that they still haven’t made a more accurate hairpiece. I wish the braid would fall over her shoulder like the minifigure’s one does. I think that would’ve been a great use of the new moulds budget. The lack of new characters is surly to avoid spoilers. I think it’s very likely this line will continue into next year and feature new characters in new waves. I do agree with you though, I can’t imagine the canoe set selling well. The builds are subpar and both Anna and Olaf appear in the treehouse. That bunny has appeared in like seven Friends sets too, which I imagine most little girls would have a few of. It’s not even that cheap that I can see parents picking it up for their kids to test out the line, it’s $20! In fairness the other sets aren’t awful for kids as they at least have an exclusive character each. -
The torso is exclusive too.

The link doesn’t work, could you post it again? Please?

In case anyone didn’t hear, once again Friends is in the top selling six themes! :D

Disney Princesses 2019 - Rumors & Discussion

I don’t think it’s guaranteed that we’re getting sets for Raya as it looks like she’s not intended to join the princess line, which Moana, Elsa and Anna were. My point was if we do get sets for this movie it could open the doors to other non Princess movies getting sets. Hopefully next year we’re going to get our first Pocahontas minidoll and complete the line up of princesses, but then what’s next for this line? The villain sets didn’t seem very popular as they haven’t continued such. I guess we could get princes for each of the princesses, as they’ve been included in sets nearly every year of this theme’s existence. I’m not sure we’re going to get any new princes next year basing it of the piece counts of the sets. It’s likely were just going to get our fourth Prince Charming. I can see kids being less likely wanting to collect all the princes as Merida, Elsa and Moana don’t have them. My idea to keep this theme going is having a set based off a different disney movie in each wave. I don’t think it’s out of the realm of possibility as many hair moulds already exist. Since my initial post I’ve thought of Jessie and Violet (or Mrs. Incredible, if she’s more popular). Small sets on those characters and other non princesses could be good introductions into different play styles. -

I think Shazam counts as it’s likely next to no one has the SDCC version of him. :P Maybe I’m being naive but since this wave had Batman’s most popular rogues I think it’s unlikely that a lot of them will show up in the CMF. The CMF will more than likely give us plenty of new characters. :3 I don’t think it’s fair to say LEGO isn’t kind to the DC fandom, when they’ve tried next to every one of their product types with DC. We’ve got regular sets in larger waves and in smaller waves, Juniors sets, minidoll sets catered to girls, BrickHeadz, D2Cs, constraction figures, DUPLO sets, a remote controlled set, dimensions sets, video games and a LEGO themed movie. That doesn’t mention the copious amounts of LEGO DC merchandise (costumes, plushes, notebooks, keychains etc.) and the CMF we’re getting next year. It’s not LEGO to blame for the lack of sets, it’s the average consumer not buying these products. -

This line is technically not just Disney Princess centric, I can see Raya being the first non princess (other than Moana, Anna and Elsa) to get a set. Hopefully Alice, Tinkerbell and Wendy will follow. -

To continue on Rambo’s point, there was this post on Instagram that shows off 5 new characters. Personally I think it’s unlikely we’re going to get 7 minidolls plus Sven, Olaf, the Nook and the gecko across six sets, but hopefully we’ll get most of them. Perhaps the two unnamed DP sets from next year will be more Frozen sets? With this many characters plus the trolls and the two Caucasian characters we saw in the trailer who aren’t featured in the board game, I can see them creating many more sets. Anna and Elsa also seem to have a myriad of new outfits which hopefully means we’ll get lots of exclusive outfits for sets! -
This Overwatch situation is really similar to what happened with DC Girls, before it became hastily discontinued right after the second wave was released.

I’m really excited for this series, it’s really a dream series for me! Maybe this explains that we only got Firefly, Ocean Master and Shazam as new characters this year, as next year we’re being compensated very nicely. -

I think that was wishful thinking on your part, the packaging of the product is all Frozen 1 based. :P Nice observation of the double sleigh though, I didn’t notice it in the trailer! I would assume we’re getting a set with it. -

All the animal moulds that were introduced for the Disney Princess aren’t that Friends like i.e. Sebastian, Flounder and Jasmine’s dove. I don’t think they’ll have a problem using this as Pascal as they don’t seem to mind sacrificing a tiny bit of cuteness for more accuracy. The Cinderella set will probably have Prince Charming and some new animal print for Bruno, Major or one of the mice. Seeing as we’re getting half the princesses in the first wave I don’t think it’s too hard to imagine us getting the other half in Summer. Merida also hasn’t been in a set since 2014 so why all us older fans want Pocahontas I’m sure most kids equally want Merida. :P As long as Disney keeps Pocahontas in the Princess line up they’ll continue to make merchandise for her. Aurora’s carriage will more than likely use the carriage mould from 10762 Stephanie’s Horse Carraige, explaining its small piece count. I think that sleigh is based off the first Frozen film and they took some creative liberties, Frozen 2 merchandise isn’t supposed to release until October and Disney is really strict about things not being sold or leaked early. -

None of the 2020 sets so far have Rapunzel in the title, but I think your right! I think it looks much more like Pascal than the previous two moulds they created for him. :P -

No ones posted on this thread since the summer sets released. Hopefully that doesn’t mean AFOL interest in Friends is dying down. I think it’s worth noting the Summer Heartboxes in the base design aren’t stackable. I found this a really odd design choice on LEGO’s part.

Disney Princesses 2019 - Rumors & Discussion

I’m still not sold on another Mulan set as others pointed out the last one sold horribly. Maybe they’ll try harder to make this set appeal to AFOLs and take inspiration from the Chinese New Year exclusives this year, one can dream. Also, I think it’s worth noting Mushu and Li-Shang have been cut from the live action film, making both of their appearances less likely. If they wanted the set to fit both movies then we’d be getting just Mulan and Khan together again. There’s an off chance we could have our first sets based on the live action princesses and not the cartoon ones, as I’m they’re going to have to that with Ariel to avoid controversy. Unfortunately I don’t think we’re going to get multiple dresses in one set, Ariel & The Magic Spell and the newest Cinderella Carraige both only featured spare bottom halves and not spare torsos. I think it’s due to minidolls’ torsos seeming to be more costly. Besides LEGO will get more money by splitting outfits into two different sets from that people will buy both. They might even release them at the same time, like they did with a Jasmine this year. Unfortunately the anniversary set will almost certainly only come with three minidolls. Eugene and Fairy Godmother have next to no chances appearing in it. We’d likely get animal friends for the princesses instead. I like your idea for the lantern scene for Rapunzel. It be a great way to have Eugene appear again, without having to do another tower. A fun City scene where they danced (as you suggested) and possibly a dock going up to the boat would be nice additions too. -

The age ranges are accurate as other sites have listed such. Im interested to see if they stick to the old faces as the rerelease of 41172 still use Naomi’s/Stephanie’s faces for Anna and Elsa. That would mean they’re probably sticking to the old Elsa braid instead of creating a new one similar to the one found on the minifigure. Olaf’s also in that set using his old headpiece, though I think we all badly want a new Olaf head with his hair. I wonder how many unique characters we’ll get across this wave? I hope it’s not just one or two new characters and the rest have Anna and Elsa in new outfits. Hopefully we’ll see our first Disney Princess set with 3 minidolls. I’ll be shocked if they don’t give us a new Aurora set next year. She wears a blue dress in parts of the film, so maybe we’ll get the animated blue dress. Phillip and her pet owl would be lovely inclusions too. I’m not sure if they’d give us another castle or a forest scene with the cottage, though that would push another Snow White set back even further. I think Merida and Moana are more likely than Snow White as their sets came out before hers. I can see either of them getting the smallest set in the wave if it doesn’t go to Pocahontas. Speaking of which, I wouldn’t be surprised if she gets stuck in an anniversary set with Cinderella and Rapunzel. I think it’s worth noting the new kayak piece fits minidolls fine and recoloured in brown would work fine as Pocahontas’ kanoe. A build and swap of Belle’s Castle seems likely, though it’ll probably be smaller if we get a big Arendelle Castle in the Frozen 2 line. Hopefully it will have a bigger library than the last. XP -
Definitely June in Europe I’m not sure about other regions, I’m sure what ever is usual. And yup that’s a punk narwhal. :)

I think it’s possible this could be the best wave of Friends yet! It’s certainly up there anyway. Unfortunately I don’t think I can justify buying too many as I already have many similar sets from Friends and I really don’t need repeats for all of them. 41337 Amusment Park Loop Swing - I think this is the only set worse than its predecessor. It’s the bumper car set but you’re paying $10 less to not get any bumper cars or the arena in which they were in. At least the beehive to cotton candy recolour is available in a much cheaper set now. 41362 Heartlake Supermarket - This looks like a slight downgrade to the 2014 Juniors supermarket, oddly enough I think it’s colours fit Friends better. All the food here is super common and it’s a shame that the budget only allowed for one new print for a food related item. The shopping cart is nice, but I’ll wait for it to appear in a better colour than green. Also I think it’s really odd that Andrea is the only one of the main 5 not to appear in a Juniors set. 41371 Mia’s Horse Trailer - This is the only remake that is more or less the same quality as the last one, it even has the same horse! It’s nice that we got four different horses this year considering most of the land animals in the reboot have been prone to appear in at least three sets each. The new recolour for the horse riding cap / hair for Mia is great! I think Emma’s legs are the most unnecessary inclusion of new minidoll parts here. 41372 Stephanie’s Gymnastics Spectacle - This set is awful in my opinion. The builds aren’t particularly clever or interesting and the colours look gaudy and unfinished. Stephanie’s outfit is beautiful but that hairpiece. Who’s decision was that?! It’s way to short and the bangs don’t match at all. I’m sure kids who like playing with bows won’t appreciate it either with the lack of holes for such. I think Sweet Mayhem’s or DCSHG Harley Quinn’s hair recoloured in cool yellow would’ve worked better. Mia reusing Stephanie’s legs in the same set is a really odd choice too. 41373 Octopus Carousel - I mean the set isn’t bad but I have Olivia’s Space Ride and I really don’t think there’s need for me to have both. I think the idea of teaching kids to create their own rides is cute and gives it a step over Olivia’s Space Ride. I think it’s a real shame that Ethan appears twice in the same wave when there’s only a limited space for tertiary characters. 41374 Andrea’s Karoke Pool Party - This is beautiful! Each time they make a pool set I don’t think they can top it but I’m proved wrong each time! I don’t have any gripes with this set really, I’m honestly tempted to buy it even though I don’t have a need for another pool. I just kind of want to support more sets like this being made. 41375 Amusement Park Pier - The coaster itself is obviously leagues and bounds better than the last. I really like the interactive features with the bat and light brick. The fact only one girl can ride at a time is probably the only factor that makes it worse. I’m not to over joyed with the rest of the set. The swing ride is cool but I don’t think it’s better than the Ferris wheel or the drop tower and it’s spinning function just makes it seem like an elaborate version of the carousel. While it’s print is nice, the prizes in the spin the wheel game makes it pretty lackluster. The entrance way is nice and the ice cream stand is fine. The minidolls in the bigger summer sets are almost always dissaponting but I think Chloe in her work uniform might be one of the worst designed minidolls yet. Why on earth did anyone think it was a good idea to include the hard plastic version of Emma’s hair that doesn’t have any spots for accessories?! The recolour of her hair in blonde has been used as recently as 2017 so I’m not sure why they can’t bring that back...I’ll degress. 41376 Turtle Rescue - I originally really liked this set when I saw the prelims but I think it’s really weird that most of the interesting parts come in different sets, I.e. Olivia’s rescue outfit and the baby turtles. I don’t think the builds are strong enough to stand on their own. 41378 Dolphin Rescue - This is probably the most unique of the new sets other than the awful gymnastics one. I think the submarine is a neat enough build, it’s a bit blocky in the back. The pirate ship and Kacey's water vehicle are both really nice. The play feature of turning the wheel to reveal the treasure in-particular is spectacular! Oh and the baby dolphin! I think it’s a little odd they produced 31 new pieces for the minidolls across these sets yet didn’t go to the trouble to make a single new piece for any of the tertiary characters besides Kacey. Kacey did get the deluxe treatment and get three new pieces though. 41379 Restraunt - I think it’s widely agreed that this is one of the best Friends sets of all time. It turns out the copious recolours are exclusive after all! I’m shocked this set isn’t a normal retail one I think it has mass appeal. 413780 Lighthouse and Seal Rescue - I don’t think this is better or worse than the last lighthouse, it’s just a different take on one. All the builds are solid and it’s nice to see the seals return. I do think the Stephanie on the box art would work a lot better here and would’ve worked better than having Mia in two sets. It would’ve been nice if we got an extra minidoll too considering the price of this set. 413781 Boat and Narwhal Rescue - I think the interior to this boat is the best yet! It has detail everywhere and doesn’t look crammed in, it’s quite an impressive feat to ever the designer is. The exterior of the boat isn’t quite as nice as the inside but I think that’s mainly because of them trying to make yellow and coral as a colour combination work. I know people have debated this before but in my opinion that narwhal does not look natural in that colour. I think the side builds are just worse versions than the ones found in other sets which is a shame considering how expensive this set is. We can hope so, but sometimes gaps are just filled in later waves like 41337. We’ve got two retail exclusives in this wave alone so I’m not sure if they’d bother doing another one. It’s great to see that both old light pink skirts from 2012 have come back this year with updated prints. Now we've got white and normal yellow skirts there’s not that many colours to go! I mean it’s only fair to the kids who missed out on those sets. Besides, I think that each designer has tried their best to make them as different as possible and have succeeded in the most part. It’s not like we’re getting vague space themed rides again or a light pink lighthouse with a shop next door. Even the boat has a really interesting interior and a bath for the Narwal. The turtle rescue, submarine and gymnastics sets are all completely brand new ideas for Friends so at least we get something.
