Heroica RPG - Quest #44: My Best Friend
Professor Flitwick replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
The chatter fluttering around the hall managed to dislodge from his cogitations, and draw his eyes away from the ground where the Demon fell. Some where suggesting Mr. Harkenshire and the Fenarian might still be alive. Others were busy dividing up the spoils from the obliterated followers of Zoot. Thothwick joined the latter group, intending to join the former once he had claimed his reward. "I feel that shield would be abundantly beneficial in my possession, Mr. Nerwen. Recollect, if you will, our last foray in Dastan, and how much more advantageous the battle could had faired had I had the reinforcement of the shield. Now, if you will, a battle of even more grandiose proportions, wherein I lack a shield, and my comgrades were not as lucky as they were in Dastan. I'm sure neither of us would like to see such a fate unfold into reality, would we, Ms. Nerwen?" -

Thothwick was still staring agog, at the location where the Demon once stood. He made no attempt to stop Sküld from fleeing his protection, and running to Shaun. "Mr. Harkenshire is deceased? It seems so... unbecoming, for a man whom fought valiantly against everything the ancient kingdom of Dastan bombarded him with - Cultists, rouge Lion Knights, the Chimera, Wren - to just be consumed. Then again, who really departs these planes in a manner becoming to the grandiose nature with which they lived their lives...?" -
Probably the fact that Sandy requires a spare two hours to work out the result of the round!

Although varying in the terms of honour and regard that Thothwick held for them, he knew all of his colleagues in Heroica were of sound fighting and tactical abilities. The thought that there were foes capable of taking on an onslaught from over ten heroes at once, and defeat two - let alone swallow them whole! - in one fell swoop, terrified him. It's not just the Blutos and Skülds of this world that were vulnerable. Their protectors were two. Aghast, Thothwick retreated to the back row, intending to protect Sküld. "Not another one. Not another one. Not another one. Not another one" -
Then, he and Atramor could form a motley crew of Pirate-Witches!

Kneeling down to be level with her eyes, Thothwick reassured her in an uplifting tone. "Fear not, Ms. Sküld, I shall be back to protect you post haste, should the need arise. For now, I shall assist be associates in dispatching the Demon. You'll be secure back here." Rustling her hair, Thothwick jolted to the front row, to attack Mephisto, with his Sabre. -

Thothwick continues to protect Sküld, softly provide a positive commentary for the battle. "You may cease your fretting, my dear, this skirmish has passed it's apex, and Shaun has fled the battle to find safe sanctuary. You'll soon be reunited. You may cease your fretting." -
Next time, Sshhhh! Maybe the bank of Guts will give you a loan?

I think people are panicking far too early. As far as I know, we no nothing about this new film, so please, save you judgements and blood-curdling cries. Just because it's Disney dos not make it inherently 'childish', or outright bad; look at the recent Marvel films. At the very least, we'll have some great new sets coming out based on it, and at best, we might have three films that will go down in history as the great films ever made. Stop panicking.

"Gentlemen, Gentlemen please this is no time for petty squabbling! Kindly continue this later, but right now our main priority is to locate Shaun. Now, I haven't been on best terms with Mr. Holla, but we need to bluff our way as much as possible, in order to get all the possible information on his whereabouts. Now, I beg your party, but I have an enquiry of my own..." "Our party was once larger, but we've lost track of a few on the way. If I might inquire, Ms. Ziegfried, whom where the last people you permitted to enter your flock, and how long ago were they inducted?" -

"Is this the place I read about in Byblos' library? The forgotten temple? The shrine to the Forsaken One?" Trying to hide a look of worry etched on his face, Thothwick turned to the party and consumed his Dragon Scale. "You know chaps, I have an inkling of where we might be... Although I aspire to be incorrect." -

Continuing to bow to Smaragdea, Thothwick backs out towards the air duct, with a look of awe still etched upon his face. Thothwick stood still, mouth wide with agog, as the Dragon landed and yelled at the party. "I've only seen one this close up before, and this is far more elegant than the Wyvern. It's beauty surpasses the elegant creatures I witnessed from afar in Dastan." "Please, we've not come here to harm you, or pillage your treasures. As previously aforementioned, we've arrived here via our search for a lost boy. But, I've so many questions, and I am most interested to learn more about your race. How did you come to be here? Do you hail from Dastan? Are there many more of your kind here, or around Eubric?" -

For all the pleasure given to him by the Greenskins plans for freedom, it was doubled by the exuberance given to him knowing a Dragon dwelt underneath Eurbic. "Well, what are we waiting for chaps? Mr. Kukulkan, I wish you every success in your ventures here, but we've a Dra- *ahem* young man to find. Let us move on, post-haste!" -

Still in a daze of awe from seeing the final resting place of the Golden Dragon, Thothwick removed himself from his musings when he realised the others were talking. "Apologies. I was lost in my pondering. I too am ready to move on." -
