Heroica RPG - Quest #44: My Best Friend
Professor Flitwick replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
Upon hearing Hybros' warning, Thothwick backed away, initially struggling to carry his new book. "Mr. Guts, don't be so foolhardy! I implore you, listen to Mr. Hybros. For your own well being, defer until somebody can inspect it for traps." -

OoC: Ha! Don't worry, I didn't expect you to do so. Thanks for your permission! Increasingly worried that one of the four books he desired maybe forever lost as a secret door mechanism, Thothwick frantically pulled History of the Dastan Empire. -
Heroica RPG - Quest #44: My Best Friend
Professor Flitwick replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
Marvelling at the myriad of books on Dastan and Dragons, Thothwick was unable to contain his interest. Once more, Thothwick knelt down beside Sküld, and lightened his tone. "Excuse me, Sküld, but it seems that these books barely get looked at, and it would be such as shame to waste them. Would you, or Shaun, mind terribly if I took one or two that are not being used to open the door?" OoC: This is for a bit of RPing, Sandy, but I'll understand if the answers no. -
Does this purely hypothetical Quest have anything to do with Bluto? And if so, can I sign up now?

Heroica RPG - Quest #44: My Best Friend
Professor Flitwick replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
"The House of the Dragon, with the Dragon shield, whose proprietor hails from Dastan? Who knows what fascinating insights into those noble creatures, lurk beneath these texts... Did she say spiders?" Turning around, Thothwick jumped back in full realisation of what Sküld was referring to. "Gah! Annihilate it! Annihilate it with flames!" Thothwick attacks the Glow Widow (Right) from the front row, with his Sabre. -
If not, you just gave Sandy a great idea!

Having opted to stay outside, Thothwicks eye's widened at the news that Sküld would be joining them, in battle nonetheless. Casting Cinna a look of foreboding, Thothwick reluctantly ambled after the party. -
General Discussion and Announcements
Professor Flitwick replied to Dragonator's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
It's been like that for a while, but I'm sure Dragonator shall updated them eventually (and hopefully the Role Playing index too). -
I'm glad you've enjoy having me in games, I'm always worrying that my roleplaying will go from the cute and funny, to the tiring and grating. But, I agree, I had quite a crap game here. I'm not sure what it is about these Forest games, but I'm always so useless here! Concerning the Rufus vs. Shadows debate, I initially shrugged it off as more inter-town fighting, like darkdragon vs. Eskallon and Scubacarrot on day 1, and the subsequent ones that followed. The reason I never voted was because I was torn between Quarryman and Shadows. I didn't like how Shadows was unwilling to reveal the supposed 'second scum', but I was equally put off by the fact I wasn't able to get a reading on Quarryman throughout the game (sorry Quarryman, I find it hard to come to conclusions on people who post less than I ). In the end I decided not to vote, but push-come-to-shove, I properly would have voted for Quarryman. I was rather determined not to let the final days of the Forest II end up like the finale days of Excalibur (that plan didn't last ), so I minimised all private contact to a minimum (hence why that long-winded post about who I found suspicious (on that subject, I mistakenly crammed too many people into one post, diminishing the severity of each accusation ), wasn't done in smaller segments behind the scenes). As such, I never spoke to Shadows before he contacted me on the finale day. In conclusion, not my worst game, but not my best. It's such a shame, you're my favourite host, as you always manage to make your games hilarious. Hopefully one of these days, I shall give the performance of my life in one of your games. I'm sure you are a great roleplayer, it's just you always roleplay people who are rude!

Heroica RPG - Quest #44: My Best Friend
Professor Flitwick replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
Whilst unaccustomed to dealing with children, Thothwick knew that some people in this world may take an unhealthy interest in Sküld. The use of the adjective 'weird' didn't fill Thothwick with confidence. Kneeling down, Thothwick lightened his tone to talk to Sküld. "How exactly is this Mr.Shaun 'weird'? Tell me, does your mummy know about him? What does mummy say about Shaun?" -

Thothwick smiles, and nods to Sküld, indicating he is ready to leave. -

"I wonder... no. Impossible. She'd only insist she communes with Fabula Sibylla. Maybe the..." An puzzled Thothwick turned to Liandra, and asked her a question in a hushed tone. "Ms. Liandra, I believe you said there were two of these 'Oracle Semiramis'. Where is the other? OoC: I've just realised that Semiramis is the oracle's name, not title. Sorry. -
Have you forgotten the amazing comedy duo of Thothwick & Harkenshire from Dastan? Thothwick shall interpret all of Namyrra's hand gestures, and form a comedy trio!
-
I take it Namyrra shall communicate in sign language throughout the rest of the Quest?

In all fairness to Quarryman, he does have to divide the loot in Iambic Pentameter!

Anyway, thanks for an enjoyable game, Hinckley. I enjoyed it much more than the Forest, especially with the addition of character traits. It really encouraged role playing amongst everyone, made the whole cast feel very unique, and made the game funnier. I didn't like it when we had to remember to make the noises though, reminded me of the Bloodbrick II's pills. I like, Cecilie, never formed any contacts. Guess that was what made me so susceptible to Shadows. Oh, that was because at the start of day 6, he and Zepher both accused me. When I kept pressing him (and Zepher, whilst he was alive) for his suspicions, I was asking him to back up why he felt me suspicious. I feel loved!

Heroica RPG - Quest #44: My Best Friend

"My, what adoration you Humans hold for that word. You really should consider widening your vocabulary, though I doubt you could spell it." "So the slaughter of the castaways and vagabonds you were orchestrating is perfectly acceptable? That wouldn't of changed you? That didn't make you a beast? That didn't make you akin to an animal, monster or undead? Or is it just the massacre of the rich and powerful that does that?" "Do I? Does Hoptet? Does Byblos? Does that mother we met earlier? Do her children? Oh, no, wait, your statement was pure and utter poppycock!" -

Thothwick walked back into the group, awaiting the party leaders next move. "At least the poor, manipulated souls are still alive. I hope you all enjoy dividing up the few possessions they had." -
The Forest II: Day Seven
Professor Flitwick replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
It's so quiet. I know you're all just silently plotting to eat me! To give us an idea of how accurate your theories are, would you reveal whom you suspect the second cultist is? It would also give the serial killer a person to go after tonight, assuming they don't actually know the names of all the cultists. -
The Forest II: Day Seven
Professor Flitwick replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Well, no, it's 3 vs 2 vs 1. If it were 3 vs 3, we'd of been overrun. Unless this is like that most recent season of the Clone Wars, which would be a bad thing to take examples from. I knew it! Seamus is right. If we kill the serial killer today, we'd be left with 2 vs 2 tomorrow. If we lynch a cultist the day after, we'd lose a town member during the night, leaving one town member, who I presume would be overrun by the one remaining cultist. And, Booker, for goodness sake, can I please have those examples now? -
The Forest II: Day Seven

Ponchy? Well, at least he won't eat me! Now there is no ambiguity about Cameron's allegiance, I think Shawna should be our next port of call. -
The Forest II: Day Six
Professor Flitwick replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Squeak. Poncho, Booker, I really am starting to get impatient. Where are the examples of my unhelpful behaviour? One might start to think your lust for my flesh has taken you over... Not really, if you read listen to me. Yes, lynching a scum would change the ratio, but if they are not the cultists killer, then all that is for nothing. However, lynching the serial killer is one less kill the cultists have against us tonight, meaning we won't be outnumbered during the night. And if we are outnumbered, then we'll take the neutral down with us, as punishment for siding with the cultists. And now to our vigilante (be it the trap killer (nabbed us one cultist, but could be the work of a serial killer) or the axe killer (only killed town members so far, but aside from Portia, they've only attacked those who haven't spoken up much, as if trying to nab cultists who are trying to fly under the radar)). Would you mind not targeting anyone tonight? It's just given your recent track record, you may upset the ratio of town members to cultists. -
The Forest II: Day Six
Professor Flitwick replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Squeak. Still waiting for those examples of unhelpfully behaviour. Feel free to use the case I made against you as a template, if it gives you something to work on. Uh... thanks Edgar? Note to self: Elephant's attempt at conversation is clearly an attempt to lull me into a trap. Keep away from at all costs. Vote: Horace Horse (iamded). If it's one less kill that can happen against us tomorrow, then I'm all for it. If the cultists still manage to outnumber us, it is one less person that will be winning surviving with the cultists. A fate very deserving for anyone decides to sign up against the town. I bet you just did it to get a bite of my flesh! -
The Forest II: Day Six
Professor Flitwick replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
... Once more, bloody hell. If Edgar is correct, then even if we lynch a cultist tonight, with three town deaths a night we'll be swiftly overrun. I'm ready to vote for Horace today, although other people spring to mind... Could someone whose done something for the benefit of the town accuse me please. It's just I can't stand when the pot calls the kettle black. You could at least do what I do, and find examples of unhelpful behaviour. Example: I'm quoting two right now. Note to self: The Parrot and the Bear are clearly working together, trying to entice the others to eat me. Keep away from at all costs. Note to self: Maybe difficult; I live with the Parrot. Revise strategy, find new sleeping spot. -
The Forest II: Day Five
Professor Flitwick replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Hey, they doing with a fish? Don't worry little guy, I won't let them eat you... like how they'll eat me! I'm afraid the best I could do here is follow suit, and Vote: Maurice Mouse (Cecilie). After following the deductions of Cameron, and the word of Gordon that Bridget was bluffing, it seems sound. And if it turns out wrong, we'll know more in the morning.
