Sitting at their now regular table in the Scheherazade's Saloon, Thothwick was engrossed in 'History of the Dastan Empire', one of the books he borrowed from the Dragonlord's library. Hoptet was sitting across from him, becoming frustrated with his inability to completely comprehend all of the Humanish in the 'Lord of the Wings', slammed the book shut, instead opting to Hero-watch over the saloon's banister. "There is Hero fallen down by fire." Thothwick, ambivalent to Hoptet's commentary, remained lost in the annals of Dastan's past, muttering only a 'Mhmm'. "Human lady in Green has walked in." Still as engrossed as ever, Thothwick again murmured 'Mhmm'. "The Witch is back." "What?" Casting his book aside, Thothwick leant over the banister, his gaze tracking Hoptet's pointed think. "Drat. I'd thought I'd have a bit more time..." Annoyed at himself for leaving it so long, Thothwick begrudgingly returned to his reading, leaving Hoptet leaning over the banister.

Señores, you are both wrong. Look at señor Joker, a very brightly dressed man, compared to señor Two Face, who dresses in black and white. Alas, señores, there is no dress code for villains to be identified with. -

He llegado! Back bottoms and front bottoms, fear no more! I am here... to protect you! Now, to the shadows! Vámonos! Qué? Crosswords? Count me in! -
Thothwick had finally reached a decision. He hurriedly ran up to the Saloon, clutching several pieces of paper to his chest, towards Hoptet. "You look tired. No sleep?" "I slept, yes, but it was fractured and inconsistent I kept on rising from my slumber, deliberating upon the increasingly dangerous situation that is Eubric's growing Witch population. First Atramor, then the one in the hovels - whom had apparently been dwelling here for years without my knowledge! - the Witch merchant, whom is likely selling her wares to convert more people to her coven, and now the two pirates in here, both of whom are likely attempting to form some-some crew of Witch-Pirates! This is dangerous. But, not anymore!" "Ooh? You find answers?" "Yes. I took me a while, but I believe I've found a solution. I've decided to found a society! A charity. An organisation, call it what you will. I've decided to christen it 'Society for the Ostracism of Witches'. For the first time in my life, I think I've found something that would've been much easier to do back in Capuchin. Where a noble charity or good cause would be gifted great banquets full of the good and great, all there to offer financial assistance and influential connections... I'll have to make do with my much lower position in Eurbician society. Can you envision it, Hoptet? Great men, women and families of the city - the Ziegfrieds, the Hinckwells, the Shaduex, the Bonapartes, all of them! - all of their time, money and resources, united with a single ambition: casting out all Witches!" "You think it work?" Hoptet's scepticism was notable even threw his second tongue. "Yes. Yes I do. And what's more, I want you to be the second signature on SOW's first petition." Thothwick offered both a quill and one of his pieces of paper, and Hoptet took both, smiling. After slowly signing it, he returned the petition to Thothwick, who chuckled upon reading it. "Remind me to teach you to write Humanish, too."

Hoptet had caught up to Thothwick, finding him crouching by Fabian's store, in full sight of Elphaba's chariot. Hoptet filed in behind Thothwick, stooping low enough to remain incognito, but high enough to see above Thothwick. The two were inconspicuous to the Witch, but several shoppers seemed perturbed by the sight of two huddled Metasimians, likely confusing them with Metasimian Mafia members. "My word! Hoptet, you were correct! Another Witch, here, in Eubric. Something must be done..." And with that, the two Metasimians scurried off back to the Hall, Elphaba totally unaware they were there.

The two Metasimians continued to sip their drinks in the Saloon, Hoptet listening intently to Thothwick's recital of the Quest, debating whether or not to sign up on a Heroica Quest. ".. I, of course, couldn't condone the slaughter, so I refused ... " "... spiders larger than this saloon, scared me half to death! Never seen anything so terrifying ..." "... beautiful scales, never a more elegant creature walked Olegia, or would 'flew' be correct? ..." "... accompanied her safely to her humble abode, was afriad she'd be a repeat of poor Master Ziegfried. Speaking of Ziegfrieds, we took the remains ..." "... unbeknownst to all of us, we acquainted ourselves with all six Heroica leaders! Or, did he list seven? ..." As Thothwick's account of his Quest was drawing to a close, Hoptet pointed at the Halls new arrival. "New hero. With fun hat." "Another pirate? Bah, that gentlemen is probably an acquaintance of Atramor-" Thothwick broke away from the conversation, to imitate spitting upon speaking the name of a Witch "-He better not be a Witch, too." "Speaking of which, there a new Witch in Eubric." "What?" "I say there new Witch in Eubric. She has horse-house in by the stalls." "Bah! I'll see to that!" And with that, Thothwick downed the last of his Sherry, and ran off to the market place. A rather more complacent Hoptet sipped the last of his mead, and followed Thothwick out of the hall.

I'm sure most won't mind; I've had Hoptet in there for months!

The Invisible Cock-Blocker After running afoul of a Witch Doctor in the Bronx, Esteban Vasquez was stricken with the curse of invisibility. This was the best thing in his life. He spent the next several months of his life at the local Gym, going from Women's changing room to the Men's changing room. One day, he accidentally found himself between two men, when one tried to force himself onto the other. Unbeknownst to him, he was actually having intercourse with Esteban, leaving the other man safe, though slightly disturbed by the sight of a man who seemed to be shagging thin air. Ever since then, Esteban has taken it upon (and below!) himself (and others!) to save the young men and woman of Gotham from unwanted sexual advances, known to all as 'The Invisible Cock-Blocker!'. His weakness include bullets, mace spray and deep blue eyes. Discloser: I apologies to all who find the use of attempted rape in humour offensive, but I hope all take the above in the full knowledge that it's purpose was only a bit of harmless zany fun in a game about having harmless zany fun.

Heroica RPG - Quest Masters' Lounge
Professor Flitwick replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
Thanks for the great Quest Sandy! I loved all of it, and it provided many role-playing opportunities for a lot of people. I really am grateful that I'm able to be a part of these landmarks, such as the Dastan trilogy, and the first Main Quest. I, like others, think things could've gone quicker, perhaps by only giving 24 hours for people to post, before moving on without them. Maybe a bit harsh, but it would've moved the Quest on a bit faster. One question, why did Cinna recognise Bluto, but not Thothwick? Ooh? When is the next one? -
Bah! Your kind get all the respect you deserve! Don't be, William has learned well from Thothwick!
-
His body heavy from the combination of a new loot and a long night brimming with combat and high emotions, Thothwick slumped down into the chair opposite Hoptet, who had put down his mead to greet him. "Did you miss me greatly, my Beau?" Thothwick asked, intermingling his voice with a slight sarcasm. "Not much. You were one night gone!" Hoptet replied jovially, his increased grasp on Humanish allowing him a basic use and greater detection of sarcasm. "I was [preparing] my me for another Dastan-like away time." Alas, his grasp on Humanish wasn't quite as good when vocalising, forcing him to use Metasimian words alongside those of Humans. "Some Quests are shorter than others. Not many, but, enough." "So... off to Quest again soon?" "Maybe. But for now, I'll join you in a drink! Ms. Scheherazade, a sherry, please!"

Well, at least he was able to stop being racist for a while!

So, theoretically, it is possible to have a positive relationship with all houses? By having an 'Outstanding' relationship with Shaduex, Ziegfrieds and Bonpartes, then doing one quest each for the GoI, Ji Pei and Hinckwells, we can be friends with everyone? Imagine if one hero does this to unite all houses!
-
I think it is. I can't imagine many characters would have such a strange face!

"Mr. Harkenshire." Said Thothwick, warmly, extending out his hand to welcome him back with a handshake." Will you accompany us to the Ziegfrieds residence? I'm certianly going, they could use some closure." -

Thothwick had been repeatedly looking back over his shoulder on the way to the Nôrn house, to make sure the Dragonlord didn't want Thothwick to return the books he borrowed. Upon seeing the Nôrn house, Thothwick had concluded he was far away to qualify a safe distance. Upon seeing Sküld reunited with her family, Thothwick thought it was best to keep the minor feud the two elder Nôrns were having be private, and suggested an alternative location, in order to give them their peace. "Shall we make haste to the Ziegfrieds? I feel they would eagerly desire hearing the news of what happened to the later Ms. Ziegfried." -

Sheathing his Sabre, as not to project the wrong impression of brutality, Thothwick followed Nerwen outside, in attempted to act as a mediator to the Cleric and the Raider; all heroes would be needed to locate their friends. "Now, Ms. Nerwen, I don't agree with people of Mr. Holla's calibre lightly, so know that these next words I vocalise have come with the utmost consideration. The Ziegfrieds are some of the most powerful magic wielders in the land. Perhaps, even all of Olegia. And one of their number was corrupted by a Demon. It lead to her death, to the death of her husband, the ruin of their daughter, almost the death of their mater, and, by extension, the kidnapping of their nephew by a Witch. Demons corrupt.. Demons destroy. And Demons ruin. I despair at the thought of it happening to you, and your loved ones. Please, accompany me and your comrades in there, and help us search the ruins. Then we return to the surface. Consult the Oracle, the remaining Ziegrieds, whomever we can think of. At least let us be sure that there is no other alternative to finding our friends. I implore you." -

Thothwick extended his arm in an attempt to instil some restraint into Guts, but receded his arm back to his side. Thothwick could recall how Guts had rejected the cautionary warning back in the basement, and had also not failed to notice the racial epithet hurled at him during the battle, and had decided that Guts didn't warrant a second warning. -

Nodding in gratitude to the Elven cleric, Thothwick equipped his shield, unsheathed his Sabre, and cautiously followed the others towards the temple.
