  1. "The land of the Nords sounds magically indeed. Let us hope you can return there, post-haste!" said Thothwick, positively enjoying himself. "How I love to play with those whom carry stagnating chips on their shoulders!"
  2. "Really? 'The way'? You make it sound different from other weapons... " "I thought you said your people abandoned the worship of Zoot? Or is that where these 'unorthodox' applications of piety manifest themselves?" "I felt it fairly obvious that when one announced ones name, and you would announce yours. It's a gentlemanly way to do it. Can't say I know what a Nordic Zoot worshipper looks like. All bar one Nord I've met has been intoxicated, so I wouldn't know what a Nordic priest of Zoot looked like anymore than I would a Nordic worshipper of Fabula Sibylla looks like... although the mental image is indeed hilarious! As for your motives here, I don't know. I just assumed, that like most of us, you'd be here to prevent Wren's slaughter of innocents, and end her Quest to reach divinity, as opposed to being here as she subscribes to a different divinity to that of your own."
  3. "It is 'Thothwick', actually, Norsema- did you christen your Weapon in honorific of Zoot? My word, I don't believe I've met a living follower of Zoot. Save Wren, and here ilk."
  4. Not knowing everyone around him, Thothwick nodded to and "How-do-you-do"ed the bare-chested Nord and the Human in the colourful armour. Thothwick scoffed loudly. "And worry you it should, with great reason! I was in the party that unearthed and excavated the decayed temple of that manic worship, and we fought one of the temples guardians - Mephisto. I there is someone depraved enough to emulated this demon, then it should worry you very much. Also, I'm Thothwick. A pleasure, Mr. Wizard, Ms. Triad."
  5. Quickly perusing the market place, Thothwick bought two Phoenix Essences (100), two Smelling Salts (50) and three Grand Potions (30), paying 180 to Portia, cursing himself for leaving these things so late. "There always seems like there's going to be more time."
  6. "So, the answer is, you don't know this 'Artemis'?" asked a rather ticked off Thothwick, whose animosity dissipated upon seeing the heroes drift off. He turned to Hoptet. "It's time." "Wren?" "Wren." "May Orang Pendek guide you there, and our love guide you back." Thothwick joined the other heroes on the way to their Quest.
  7. Thothwick, taken aback by the severity and dourness of the Mages question, and not being totally sure he was being addressed, replied tentatively. "Um... I suppose so."
  8. "Oh, my petite friend, most things humans do can be described as 'freaky'!" Thothwick chortled, looking down at the envelope. "Artie? Artie? There can be one name that can only be decreased into Artie." "Anybody here ever come across a hero by the name of Artemis?", holding the envelope aloft.
  9. Thothwick nodded at Hoptet, who was ordering another drink from Scheherazade, gesturing him to join them at their table. "Well... that's certainly a long tale. Not interesting to all whom hearing it, and few have. One must give you an abridged version. I'm a native from the Mistlands, specifically the Capuchin region, where one was born into - and as such, became a member of - their peerage system. Circumstances came to circumstance, and one left. One came to Eubric, where resided for many years. I left, though in search of what, I know not. I made port in Charis (where I resided for little over a year), then Miranda (proving too close to my motherland, saw me reside there for only several months), then Carthago (one does not approve of too much sand, but I stayed there for a few years), and, eventually, returned to Eubric, following a pen-pal relationship with my cousin, Byblos. He helped me to find Heroica. My first Quest was where I first encountered the dreaded Witch, Wren. Being up against more experienced combatants saw me spending the majority of my Quest incarcerated. I was later tasked by the Ziegfrieds to find a cure for Ms. Ziegfried, matriarch of the Ziegfrieds, who had fallen into a coma. We journey to Salmanda, where we found a child of the Ziegfrieds who had been a stowaway on our boat. In a moment I relieve over and over in my head, we allowed him to travel with us. He fell gravely ill, and a Witch, Baba, tricked us of him. He hasn't been seen since... it was not an entirely wasted journey. We had the ingredients necessary to save Ms. Ziegfrieds life, and I met my beau, Hoptet-" "Hello. I Hoptet. I was Metasimian of Orang Pendek, and was captured from Mistlands by Salmanda-man. I saved by heroes, and became to Eurbic. I no been on Quest yet." "Soon, Hoptet, soon. We saved him from a Menagerie, not speaking one word of Humanish. I acted as a translator betwixt him and my party. He had decided to return with us to Eurbic, so I taugh him Humanish. We became close on the fortnight-long journey back, and haven't looked back. We as a party lost poor Master Ziegfried, but I got much more. My next Quest also saw me up against Wren, this time thwarting the efforts of her and her ilk in Dastan, as I'm sure you, Mr. Skrall, well know. One then was hired to find a lost boy - with Mr. Carvenhall here - who turned out to be an undead child, who had joined (whether willingly or not) a cult of Zoot worshippers, lead by the reanimated remains of one of the Ziegfrieds, who turned out to be the one responsible for putting the Ziegfieds matriarch in the coma. We fought against her undead minions and a large demon, and, in the end at least, had a relatively successful Quest. Fate allowing, it appears our next Quest will be the defeat of Wren." Rubbing his throat, Thothwick hailed Scheherazade. "A sherry, please. Thank goodness I only told you chaps the abridged version, or I'd have lost my voice!" "So, please do tell, what is behind the lives of you three gentlemen, so that we may discuss what is in front of them."
  10. Rubbing a sore back, Thothwick extended his hand to be shook by Skrall. "Jolly good fight, Mr. Skrall. I see the same battle prowess that served you so efficiently in Dastan has not forsaken you. Shall we retire - along with the rest of your party - to the Saloon to celebrate your victory with a beverage?"
  11. Brickdoctor, I don't mean to be rude, but any idea when the next round in the Arena fight will be done? Nope, Warden.
  12. For Thothwick it's obvious, his love of Dragons will lead him down the path of the Dragoon. It's just difficult trying to get a way for him to sign up with the Shadeaux, as I'm not sure it's common knowledge for people to know of their past/affinity with Dragons.
  13. As well as having party requirements that say 'At least one Metasimian hero must be in the party'.
  14. Not quite sure about Thothwick or Hoptet, but a song I think of whenever Lady Wren pops up in a Quest.
  15. Gripping his Sabre to once again attack Skrall from the front row, Thothwick franticly listened into the conversation the Ogre and his friends were having. He recognised Mr. Carvenhall, allbeit after doing a double take to see through his change attire. The Sorcerer looked familiar, and Thothwick vaguely recalled him from Dastan. The third was the Pirate. Maybe, if in such company, he was infact not a Witch? "I beg your pardon, but did you say Wren schemes to bridge the gap betwixt a mortal and immortal life, so that she may join the ranks of the divinities? I'm flabbergasted!"
  16. I get rewards for dying in games? Yay! Thank you for the tag Cornelius, and thanks for hosting the fun game Shadows!
  17. "Seems this shield was not as effective as one previously hoped!" Thothwick piped jovially, moving to once more attack Skrall, from the front row, with his Sabre.
  18. "So, he knows Wren's coming back to town? This could prove to be smother sailing than one previously anticipated!" Thothwick attacks from the front row, using his Sabre.
  19. Thothwick bowed his head towards the Ogre. "And I accept the honourable Mr. Skrall's proposal to a duel."
  20. Upon hearing the Ogre, Thothwick leant across the table to whisper to Hoptet. "Stage one has been initiated. Prepare yourself for stage two! Ah! Mr. Skrall, we've gone far too long without conversing, since we acquainted ourselves amid the hustle and bustle of Dastan! I've been anticipating our little bout in the Arena. Very eager to take this Shield for a test drive."
  21. "The face of Eubric will be scarred forever. This is the embodiment of S.O.W's purpose upon Olegia. Perhaps, even ours too." Thothwick signs up for Quest #53: Chaos in Eubric, and joins his Beau in the Saloon, all too aware of the impending danger soon to surround the island he had come to call home, and all too aware that once Wren arrives, that these jaunts in the Saloon maybe the last they'll ever have.
  22. Cheers WBD! I was annoyed with myself for not noticing Flares post, but thank you for cooperating regardless!
  23. Two Metasimians were hunched over the Quest board. Thothwick was smiling widely, explain something to his partner. "Mr. Skrall is a well know and well respected member of Heroica - he battled alongside me in Dastan, don't you know? The gentleman is perfect S.O.W material! It's the perfect way to entice him in, too! We'll have a practice skirmish in the Arena, then afterwards, we'll persuade him to join over some friendly drinks. That way, he won't feel pressured to join, like he would if we proposed to him straight out of the blue! Excellent! I'll just answer his advertisement for a sparing partner, Hoptet, be sure to pay attention, you need to learn to write Humanish." "Not too eager, not too disinterested - perfect. Any questions?" "What is that letter?" "... That's a comma. We'll have to cover punctuation too."
  24. I liked the part where I got thanked! Great game guys. Scuba, great game, we couldn't of done it without you!
  25. It's a shame to die, but being a citizen of Gotham, I'm sure Esteban Vasquez will be retconned back into life before too long.
