Heroica RPG - Quest#66: WANTED! Steerpike the Poisoner
Professor Flitwick replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
"Those eyes... I've seen them before... somewhere." "Hello, good sir... is earwax a custom in Dwarfish culture?" Thothwick pulls a handkerchief from his pocket, spreads it over his hand, and extends it out to the short stranger, allowing him to put the wax inside it. -

Thothwick, nodding politely to Dr. Cula, turned to the Ziegfried's table. "I don't suppose you've had a chance to take a peak at my piece of paper, Ms. Ziegfried?" -

Thothwick, arms folded behind his back, walked across to Dr. Cula. "Most illuminating speech, sir. I had not such knowledge that your people were so subjugated. The 'free city' indeed. I too am trying to highlight a cause close to my heart. Any tips for a Metasimian trying to bring peace to Eubric?" -
LOTR & The Hobbit 2013 Set Discussion
Professor Flitwick replied to CM4Sci's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
What? Who could possibly forget the scene where that guy runs past that market stall? Or that part in the extended edition where Aragon stares at an unconscious Eownen? It's my favourite scene, I've actually got it as my ringtone. And I don't know about you, but I've lost count at how many angry letters I've written to Peter Jackson for not including a Cribs-style walkthrough of at least seven houses of Minas Tirirth. Alcarin, I'm going to tell you what I told LordoftheBricks. Is Lego really the hobby for you? Let's take a look at what the internet can show tell us: Hang on, let's zoom in! Oh, saw something! Bring us in a little closer! There we go. Lego is not going to build everything in scale to each other. As a child, it never bothered me that a classroom was one third the hight of a seven story castle. Or that only Gryffindor and Slytherin had a place to sleep at night. You're going to have to seriously adjust you expectations of what you think Lego is going to offer you. I'm fairly certain Orthanc is one - if not the - tallest sets ever made. We are not going to see them get any bigger than that, certainly not in this line.- 7,499 replies

Thothwick attempts to walk up to the balcony level, to get a good view of everyone there. If he fails to find an enterance, he'll simply crane his neck to look at who is on the opposite balcony. -

Sorry Sandy! I somehow managed to forget that Madam Lady bug was a U'Kin too. Thothwick positions himself so that he can see what is behind the left stage curtain, them moves to allow himself to peer behind the right stage curtain. -

Thothwick follows the Mage in hot pursuit. "Oh, you poor dear. I myself have never been on good terms with them. I vehemently refuse to purchase from the Witch who sells her wares in the market, and try to spread the word about the evils of people like her. I'm even trying to start an organisation to raise awareness about them, but of course, it's early days yet. But with your history with these wicked people, perhaps you'd care to join? Maybe even convince some of you fellow family members do to the same. I know they'd do anything to get Bluto back, and would likely try just as hard to ensure no such similar events occurred again. We could make this dream a reality..." Thothwick reached into his pocket, and pulled out the S.O.W membership forum, which currently contained only he and Hoptet. "I'll leave you to think about it; I believe I'm afraid I'm required elsewhere." Bowing, Thothwick joined his Party Leader. "Of course, Lord Boomingham. I shall ensure your orders are followed to the letter." The Metasimian moved swiftly over to the U'Kin. "It's rare to meet a U'Kin outside of Dastan. Do you know I once had the pleasure of acquainting myself with the late U'Stus? Very valiant gentleman he was, too. How is Dastan, these days? Do you hear much of her comings-and-goings?" -
Good point. Where are you getting the badass from?
-
Do it. S.O.W membership will treble.

I'd back your bags, if I were you. Eubric doesn't want your kind!

Thothwick nods sombrely at the news. "Those dastardly witches, they can be so slippery. I'm sure some news will reveal itself before too long. I just wish there were measures in place to prevent this from happening in the future, don't you all agree?" -

"I would be honoured to fight for your great family once more, Grand Wizardine. May one inquire, as to whether any new information on young Master Bluto has arisen? I would gladly assist with any and all efforts involved in ensuring his safe return." -

Thothwick, bidding the Hinckwells a fair evening, moves to the Ziegfrieds. "Grand Wizardine! How well you're looking. I see that potion worked it's wonders. I'd say it's taken ten years off your appearance, too! And Mr. and Mr. and Mrs. and Mrs. and Ms. Ziegfried, too? If I'm ever to find my untapped skill with Ether, let it be today, in the presences of such wondrous mages! If I may be so impertinent to say, may I say that I hope that Sycamore Ziefried's remains provided some closure." -
And stole some books!

Eyebrows arched, Thothwick stood aside to let the ambassador find her own seat. "[Hmpf. Pompous megablocks.]" Turning back to the door, Thothwick listened hard for the next guests. Bowing hard upon their enterance, Thothwick greeted the Hinckwells. "Ah, Mr. and Mrs. Hinckwell! I've yet to be graced with the pleasure of serving your illustrious family, though the tales this humble Metasimian has heard were certainly not lies! Mrs. Hinckwell, you are every bit as beautiful as I have heard you described. I see the luck of you ancestors must surely grace you to this day, Mr. Hinckwell, to have such a glamorous partner. And young Masters Hinckwell too! I see you've both inherited your mothers looks, but are you also blessed with your fathers business acumen? You'll both make two very lucky women very happy. Maybe you might encounter your brides-to-be tonight! I didn't think it would be possible to improve upon the perfection that this night will surely be, but that may just top it! Please, allow me to escort you to your table." -

But do all the werepeople hail from Chima? I remember that Werepanthers come from the Mistlands, Wereturtles come from Njago, and Werelions appear to come from Miranda. Isn't it just the Werecrocodiles that come from Terra Chima? -

Thothwick, whose ear was pressed hard against the door, was listening intently to whom was about to enter. He leaped back just as the ambassadors entered. "Ah, Lady Diana, you're a vision! I dare say your elegance even exceeds that of fair Drandora! Speaking of which, how is she this time of year? May I assist you in finding your seat?" -

Thothwick nodded to Boomingham. "Wish I communed with more of the staff back home. Could've helped me find a common ground..." Thothwick sneakily peered into each of the goblets, whilst pretending to make sure each were perfectly aligned with the vase. In an attempt to integrate himself with the waiter more, Thothwick adopted a more 'common' tone. "Hello, my Orcish chap, I, uh ... mate! I imagine such a distinguis- What's a working class term for distinguished? - experienced looking waiter would've worked here for some time?" -

Thothwick bends down, assisting the waitress in picking up the smashed pieces of the plate, turning his head to the Ghoul. "Your assumption is indeed correct, sir, we are hear to safeguard the balls patrons." Thothwick rotated his head to the waitress. "And it's staff, too" -

"Hohoho, best for me not to be dancing, my Lord. My two left feet might injure more guests then we'd save! Hohoho!" "He's right. Should've brought him. Could've given him a taste of the finer things of home. It's a shame he has to stay at the... No, he's safe there, away from Steerpike." -

Thothwick turned, and bowed to Boomingham. "Thank you, Lord Boomingham, for vouching for me." Rotating back to Patricia, Thothwick reciprocated in kind. "Lord Boomingham is not the sort of man to parlay favour with a bunch of ruffians such as the Wolfgang. Ms. Nyx, too, is honourable. Together we fought together in an attempt to save the life of the late commander of the Royal Guard." Thothwick turned once more, surreptitiously winking to Nyx. "She isn't the type of woman to betray an honourable institute such as this to some backwater criminals. I can't vouch for every member of Heroica, but I assure you" Thothwick drew himself to his full, intimating height, "we shan't betray you." -

"Thothwick, at your service." Bowing his temporary employers, trying to ignore the glare being emitted from one of them. "Ms. Patricia - or, should you prefer, Captain Patricia - would you please give us a description of this 'Nikolaus Steerpike', so that we may be better prepared to spot him?"
