I think what happened was that High Council lands remained relatively the same, just with a new ruler. Ulandus on the other hand got beaten really badly into another dimension, since Xersia was lost to them at a 70% margin. Well over the threshold for the First Centurion being banished for quite a while. (This opinion was paid for by a supporter of the Desert King )
