  1. Looks like Cole's Dirt Bike is part of an early release that's also at Walmart as of today:
  2. I think it's a strategy to get folks to visit the LEGO Store/LEGO Shop Online. The smaller set being LEGO exclusive for a month is the lure; they want to get folks in the door to spend more.
  3. Unfortunately the Ice Samurai warrior head is already sold out on replacement bricks. Some army builders must have hit that one hard.
  4. Last year all we got was Stormbringer, and not even all of it at that. Hopefully we get more than one set this year.
  5. Looks like Lego took the high road on these with a limited budget. Same torso prints, generic legs, and looks like the same heads with one repainted Oni mask and one bandanna mask. That said, glad we're getting something rather than nothing. With these the odds of Season 10-related stuff coming out next summer drop dramatically. Now I'm curious to see if the season has these three Oni ala Superman 2 or the big guy and a small army.
  6. There are several sneak peek/update shots on Borg Tower here from a while back: https://www.instagram.com/aroundthebrick/ Interiors completed are the lobby and second floor (a Mongolian Grill-type restaurant that you'll see a top-down view of). There's also a balcony off the restaurant because of structural requirements. And it's cool to put figures there. And the elevator on the back manually goes up and down and can be locked into any floor. It is currently 12 stories and will top off at 14. Unfortunately the LDD files for this were lost in a computer crash so the top 2 floors (S8 Museum and Borg's office), which I had partially designed, now have to be redone from scratch. Ugh. I'll be focusing on reworking the side attachments next so they'll actually attach without falling apart. It's nice to get back into this.
  7. This 4-part season is where the rumored Borg Tower set could come into play. We clearly see old Cyrus in the trailer. Who knows? We're in uncharted waters here where the next sets align with web shorts and the next season's toy supplement is completely unknown.
  8. This feels a little bit like Day of the Departed, only little web clips designed to tie up loose narrative ends and sell a wave of toys versus a TV special.
  9. I definitely saw the Oni. But thus far there's no sign of an Oni minifigure. Our only hope of getting one is if there's still another surprise set we haven't seen. The throwbacks fit with the theme of Legacy. This is a celebration of the brand heading into its 100th episode. The more I think about Oni taking the form of former villains, the more I think that's what's going to happen.
  10. What Oni minifigures. I suspect the Legacy connection in Season 10 will be Oni shapeshifting into all the former villains we get in the Legacy sets.
  11. Brickseek has most of the Legacy sets in the Target system with pricing. I wouldn't be surprised if the first sighting of "in stock" occurs within the next week.
  12. As someone who has built well more than half of a Borg Tower MOC for mini-figures that when completed will be over 5 feet tall, there's no way a $300 or less set will satisfy the height/width needed to make it look decent. If it does then I'll be damned and we'll have our first official legit LEGO skyscraper not counting the puny Avengers Tower. I'd almost rather it be a super detailed interior space or spaces. A cross-section of key areas. I just don't see how it will work as a modular with a ground floor and the top of the logo spire without looking super compressed. Unless that's done deliberately as to invite customizers to extend its height by buying multiple sets ala Detective's Office.
  13. EDIT -- nevermind. It's already out of stock. Grrr. Didn't help that Walmart didn't have a limit on purchases.
  14. Oni Titan and Docks are the only two listed as out of stock by me. Like Ninjago City they'll probably be online only.
  15. For anyone interested, S9 sets are showing up at Targets now. DPCIs: 204-00-2239 Destiny's Wing 204-00-2240 Throne Room 204-00-2241 Stormbringer 204-00-2242 Firstbourne 204-00-2243 Dieselnaut 204-00-2244 Dragon Pit
  16. I expect quite a few new sets next year based on this:
  17. Walmart is shipping the Dragon Hunter Polybag right now. $3.97 with free shipping over $35.
  18. Gotcha. Looks like Walmart via the inventory checker isn't recognizing the set numbers just yet.
  19. Nice! We don't have Fred Meyers here in Phoenix. We do have Fry's, owned by the same parent (Kroger), but no sign of them there yet. I'll have to go hunting for the UPC numbers.
  20. Target DPCI numbers for S9 sets... has anyone spotted them yet? Those sets are probably already arriving at stores.
  21. For those wondering. This strongly hints at more dragons, yin and yang, dark and light, and jay and nya. I'm still hoping the Wind dragon finds a way into a set.
  22. I don't want to get worked up about the rumors until something more substantive comes down the line. Regarding S9 sets in North America, have Target DPCI codes come out yet?
  23. Two of those three posts are about wanting specific figures from S9. I'd say they're on topic.
  24. Loved the Pitch Black movie vibe or direct call out/homage toward the episode's end, in the First Realm dust haze.
