  1. The Season 13 sets definitely have some big holes regarding figures.
  2. I meant new faces as in never-before-made characters like human Cyrus Borg and Bolobo, but yes, new "faces" work as well :)
  3. Good. I wouldn't say the new Legacy Bounty is a disappointment. It's a great ship. The figures are where Legacy has been coming up short and where I cross my fingers we get some new faces for the 10th.
  4. He's a guy in a blazer and wheelchair, which doesn't exactly scream kid appeal. That said I'd like to think he's a lock for a future release. LEGO will find some way to get him into a Legacy set. 10th anniversary seems like a great place to slide in a character whom has influenced multiple seasons. However, if next year goes by and he's still not out then hound the LEGO Ninjago team -- the toys, not animation -- on Twitter. Be heard.
  5. Main characters only available in the most expensive set(s) will always command a premium. Vania won't be cheap down the road either.
  6. Yes, for those who missed it, 2022 confirmation:
  7. If true this is welcome news. Tough I suspect we're all in agreement that Legacy needs to start delivering some never-before-made characters/outfits. Feel free to keep dropping hints. Makes this board more lively!
  8. Good call. The Katana VII was in one brief scene toward the end of Season 8. Ultimately forgettable, and only recently disappeared from stores. The ghost boat has been done and I have a hard time imagine that being redone as a Legacy set considering almost all the Legacy sets have been hero vehicles. The Cloud Kingdom flying boats are too niche. Captain Soto's pirate ship? Eh, not memorable enough. Yeah, has to be new.
  9. The legacy Bounty doubles as the Season 13 Bounty. It's a must-own. @ninja_whip, are you suggesting the upcoming boat is Season 14 or Legacy?
  10. Hopefully a brand manager at LEGO begins to look at the longevity of Ninjago and how that pertains to demographics. Many of the fans/toy buyers who were once kids are now young adults. They want some of the more obscure items that have never been made available. Ninjago will always be a kids property, much like Star Wars toys have been for decades. But as the original generation ages, their tastes mature, and that's a new market to tap with cleverly designed products that tap deep into nostalgia like the "Legacy" line does. Only taking more creative risks instead of 99% rehashes geared toward Netflix kids.
  11. Ninjago could benefit from a CMF, sure. I don't see it ever getting one. Too niche. While I love Ninjago, it's no Star Wars or Harry Potter or Disney or Marvel or DC in terms of mass appeal. The loss of Toys R Us took away a great avenue to get some of these fringe characters and outfits with the 4-packs. I'm surprised another retailer like Target didn't gobble those up as I'm sure they'd sell heading into the holidays. Gamer's Market helped with Pink Zane and a weird interpretation of Rocky Dangerbuff, but the Season 13 sets are sadly severely lacking secondary characters. Here's hoping Season 14 doesn't continue that trend.
  12. Let us know when yours arrive. Mine are on the way but still in the Germany export parcel center.
  13. I've got 8.5% tax so I'm going to take a look. Edit: I rolled the dice and placed the order. Did the math and even with shipping at $100+ it would still be less than regular retail. Oddly enough Kai's Fighter was sold out.
  14. Whoops! I meant which Bricklink store in Germany you had ordered from before and were going to order the S13 sets from :) Thanks!
  15. Which store might this be?
  16. For the Europeans... how wide are the Ninjago magazine minifigure bags? Don't own any (yet), but am planning out a future display to house some in the package. Thanks!
  17. I'm a bit letdown by the Legacy sets. These are a chance for LEGO to go back and fill in some gaps. Instead they're all straight up rehashes. Granted, nice rehashes. But 100% rehashes. I wish the budget would allow for a new build or figure here and there. And I wish LEGO would start examining the AFOL potential with Ninjago. From a marketing perspective, many of the kids who grew up with Ninjago are now young adults. And they might fancy a figure that a kid today would deem "boring". Like Cyrus Borg in a wheelchair.
  18. I second this. The weapon is a letdown. But not surprising as I doubt they'd want to cast an original mold for a legacy one-off weapon. The dollars are better spent elsewhere in the theme. Now bring on the S13 official set images!
  19. If you're in the minority then I'm in it with you. The backstory in 27 was great and fleshes out who the real threat and victims are.
  20. Surprised no one is talking about Episode 16 that showed up online:
  21. Based on Tommy's comments it's not anime for the sake of anime. The narrative will dictate when/where the anime appears and doesn't appear. Insert the potential video game-theme and the answer might be obvious.
  22. Anyone got Target DPCI numbers for the Season 11 sets?
  23. A small piece count as well.
