  1. Pioneer Outpost, large art and culture for Camp Isaac.
  2. Camp Isaac has never been your typical Corlander settlement. Established by the Royal Society of Natural Philosophy, it has always been heavily populated by scientists and researchers, many on their way to nearby Myzectlan. The sleepy settlement is nestled in a riverine delta and is characterised by structures built into the river banks with minimal impact on the lush jungle and transport is mainly by boat or punt. The garrison is also unique, the Royal Pioneers are not your typical infantry unit and specialise in life on the frontier. Whilst the majority of the garrison inhabit dwellings inside the palisades, a small outpost has been established on an island that guards the approaches to the main settlement. Here a detachment of pioneers keep an eye on vessels approaching the settlement and keep records of the goods going both up and down the river. A recycling of the cabin from my north-western frontier build earlier this year. The cabin has been sitting on my bench since January waiting this scene! If you go far back enough in my photo stream you may recognise the tower as well! Will be licensed for either the settlement or faction, I haven't worked out which is best yet as a large culture (government) property.
  3. Ask and ye shall receive! Fetch me a pint, lads, and I'll tell you what happens next. Now by this stage, people were starting to get spooked. You must understand, this was a small village. Less than 50 people. So while Hades, God of the dead, wasn't a stranger, he rarely visited that often. But something's always wrong when the landlord of the only pub in town has his head caved in. Well, by popular demand, the place was given to the Widow Hagen to look after. Rumour said she was the old man's mistress anyway, so it only seemed fitting. She did a decent enough job; kept everything running in basically the same way it had, tried to look after folks. But it was obvious things weren't the same. The heart had gone out of the place. Everyone was terrified, wondering whether there would be more deaths or not. And then, sad to say, Widow Hagen was next. Not brutal like the old man, just quiet, calm. One day she didn't open the Inn, and was found dead in her chamber. No signs of a struggle. Well, soon enough, people stopped going out. Stayed clear of each other. Kept a weapon close at hand, and prayed every chance they got.
  4. Grenadier Barracks, large residence for Corrington
  5. Bastion of the East - Task 3: Grenadier Barracks Front Page updated. Congratulations to the following: @Legonaut and @Bregir for both completing Task 1 - Redcoats Rule and being awarded the title "Patron of the Army" @evancelt for completing Task 2 - The Oaken Shield and being awarded "Master Naval Shipwright" As evancelt has completed three tasks in their entirety (the first person to have done so), he is awarded a knighthood in the Order of Corrington. Arise Sir Jonathan Brickleton.
  6. Corlander officials have big plans for Queenston. Corrington's newest and eastern most settlement it is thought to have both vast strategic and commercial potential. Such an important settlement needs defending, and the redcoat defenders need a place to call home. Only the best is good enough for our brave boys in red and so a new barracks complex has been constructed as a priority for the new settlement. Consisting of a barracks for the soldiers and an armoury for arms and munitions, the complex is now fully operational. Shown here is the barracks part of the complex. This wing holds enough accommodation for a whole company with separate rooms for the men, non-commissioned and commissioned officers. Colonel Allcock himself visited before departing for Spudkirk a couple of months ago! In this scene, a group of Royal Altonian Grenadiers parade to be issued new short swords from the visiting armoury Sergeant Major. There comrades having already been issued their swords last week. To be licensed as a large residence for Corrington in Queenston. Also A GoC Task 14 entry. Some WIPs if you are not following the WIP thread on Discord.
  7. Another stunning merchantman! The level of detail on the deck is very impressive and her shape is gorgeous! Very impressive work! I've licensed her for the ETTC and added her to the front page of the ETTC thread.
  8. It was great seeing this come together. I really like the bottom windows and the addition of the tooth/rail combination on both the upper and lower windows. The seaweed tree is a interesting concept that I think I want to try! Licensed for Corrington.
  9. Nice work creating an immersive scene that gives of a much larger atmosphere than the actual footprint. I think the rendered sea and sky probably really help as well. It's a style I'd like to try more of myself. Before I thumbs up for GoC, which task are you submitting it towards? Edit: Nevermind! I saw you posted in the GoC thread!! from me! Edit2: Now licensed for Corrington
  10. This is fantastic Spud, I love everything about it from the shape of the buildings (love that cone roof) to the tree/mangroves. I wouldn't change a thing. Great job and definitely a GoC
  11. All ETTC shareholders, three important motions have been put before the board in the PM. Voting on these issues closes in one week from today.
  12. Jul-Aug 2022 You guys know the drill! Any issues or questions, let me know!
  13. Wow, just wow! What a incredible ship! The ETTC is honoured to accept her kind Sir! @Bregir or @Capt Wolf, care to weigh in on what class I should license her as? ETTC vessels usually simply have the prefix ETTC. So in this case we would probably license the ship as ETTC Sussex. Regarding the pictures, what I would recommend is using the BBCode option from Flickr to post in the Eurobricks Forum. It's pretty simple to do and automatically links the image on the forum to the flickr image. In this case if people want to see the larger image, they can just click on the image in Eurobricks and will be taken to Flickr. To do this, view the image in Flickr and click on 'share image' (the arrow icon to the bottom right hand side of the image). Select the BBCode tab, and then select a size from the drop down menu (I usually pick an option between 800 and 1000). Once you have selected a size, then click anywhere in the box above the size option which will automatically select the BBCode that Flickr has just generated. Right click copy (or CTL C), then go back to Eurobricks. Place your curser where you want to place the image then right click paste (or CTL V). The BB Code will paste into the forum. If you want to delete the annoying text Flickr generates with the BBcode, then simply delete everything after the first /url box. The result is what will display in the example below. Hopefully that is useful!
  14. As I commented on Instagram, I really feel the microscale minifigs make this build 'pop'! Changing the scale changes the whole feel of the build. Very nice work on the shaping and the brick built sails are top notch! for GoC!!
  15. Task 14 - Bastion of the East - Build One
  16. An initial ETTC presence has been established in Queenston with this large commercial property.
  17. ETTC Office, large commerce licensed by the ETTC.
  18. In the new settlement of Queenston, the ETTC has established their presence with a first property. The modest complex includes office space, with a small warehouse. Also attached is a belltower to keep the citizens of Queenston punctual like all good proper Corlanders! As the settlement shows great commercial potential, the ETTC are hoping this will be the first of many ETTC properties in the settlement. A column of redcoats marches past to guard against the ever present Lotii threat. The office at this stage only contains the principle company agent and a couple of assistants, although the company has plans to bring in more workers and even some sepoys to guard their investments soon. I've tried to experiment with the style of the source material @Justsomebrix posted as inspiration in the settlement thread. The sand green started as medium green, but as I only have medium green in 1x2 bricks, I just didn't have the variety to get the texture I wanted - so I quickly switched over to sand green. Will be licensed for the ETTC as a large commerce in Queenston. Edit: Also a GoC task14 build!
  19. The ETTC formally (and belatedly) welcomes it's newest member, Captain Edward Scarver (@Justsomebrix)
  20. Stunning work! It's great to see the high resolution renders and the interior scenes really surprised me after seeing the external teaser on Discord. So many great little details that I like such as the SNOT railings, arch details and of course that dome! Any chance we could get a breakdown of how it is constructed? I also like how well the building intergrates into the landscape. You've made a great base with the vegetation and pathways that really complete the whole build. I've licensed for Corrington and will transfer the agreed amount to your account. I did change the license type to artisan as taverns have always been licensed as artisans. It confused me a lot at first when I started playing and I'm still not quite sure on the logic, but yeah - taverns equal artisans.
  21. Post it in a new thread in the BoBS sub-forum, then if it meets the Cruiser's task (it definitely should) you can post a link to the dedicated thread here. Hopefully that makes sense, if not let me know!
  22. Great window design, I especially like the use of the candles (and is that an upside down 1x1 round plate with a hole on the top of the candle?). The transition around the windows into the walls looks a little stark - I think that maybe trying to overlap some of the olive bricks might have helped make them look more integrated?? My only very minor criticism! Love those minifigs as well! Very pioneer-ish!
  23. I've faced this question with my own builds several times. Usually I class them as a dual watchtower/customs post - then in my mind they are commerce (but could also count as Art and Culture). Example: Palm Island Outpost
