The reason why I rated forbidden island rather high is because; for one it is a beautiful set, and two of I didn't I would get people talking about that one, just like folks have been talking about skill island. ? But as I said in the video, it is a flawed set.

Maybe Skull island got the short end of the stick? It was Lagoon Lock up that kept it at bay tbh. ? Which 5? I own RIR, EF, ITP, All 2015 sets, and my wife and I made our own lagoon lock up/ saber island combo set. We used grey instead of white for it. Its the 2009 sets that I need to invest more money into ? As a kid I had RIR, ITP, Lagoon Lock up, forbidden island, and a bunch more that are not in this list.

This Red Coat Admiral also can in the original Imperial Flagship set. But I think those were the only two sets he came with.

Here is my video rank of the best MAJOR Lego Castles. I based my rank off of a list that Brick Set made about the Major Lego Castles. So while some are not included, it's because the powers that be don't define them as a MAJOR castle. ENJOY.

Thanks Azog!!! It's actually a lot more work than people realize. I easily spent a good 5 or 6 hours on just this video (between researching, audio, editing, etc). I don't have any new reviews until after Christmas. So I plan on doing videos like these until then, 2 per week. I have 1 dedicated to Castles coming in Thursday. Then next week I think I'm going to do a LOTR one.

I made a similiar thread in the main section, but I figured it might get more traction over here. (mods feel free to delete that one, if needed). My latest video is ranking the classic sets featuring the raised base plate. I look forward to everyone's thoughts on this. Enjoy. ?

Thanks Azog, I have a multigrain digital recorder (because I'm a musician as well) and I have been using that to record all the audio on my newer videos. It does create an extra step during the editing process. But I'm just trying to keep people happy. ? ??

Despite the age of ships like the SES and BSB, I stand by there rank on my list. Outside of the IFS, you are hard pressed to find any other Lego ships that are more impressive or just plain beautiful than those two. The QAR is really the only one that comes close. But the bare bones hull and "broom closet" captains quarters makes it inferior to the other two imo. If the level of detail was put into the QAR that was out into the BSB and SES, then yes I do think it would be superior.

Technically yes, POTC is a separate theme. But NOT including them would have led to a lot of "where is the black pearl" type of comments. Same goes for the Sea Cow. I have zero interest in that ship, but NOT including it would have led to backlash.

Yes, the top 3 are pretty much a given. Honestly I feel the top 5 are pretty hard to argue against. Even if people have a soft spot for the CC or original IF, it's hard to argue they are better than the QAR or BP.
