  1. But aren't these 2 major differences? First of all, "getting" a set is different to "when the review comes out". And the Train had a remote. The 4x4 is totally useless without the app. The App ist part of the Set, because it's the remote.. Why would Lego want any reviews about an unfinished product? What's the point?
  2. Can you show me a review where you couldn't show the main function of the set because the App wasn't available? Or you had to program your own controller using the SDK? I guess as an official reviewer you would at least get access to the latest beta version of the Control+ App.
  3. of course it's not offical. The App isn't even ready.
  4. 40% off for Technic Models is not unusual (at least in Germany). So if you are willing to wait, sub 300€ could be possible.
  5. But the icon shows the vehicle from behind (makes more sense anyway), so it's correct if it's pointing updwards. You can see in this screenshot how the App (not the box art) really works (and they already changed the direction of the upper right icon): It's still beta anyway.
  6. you are right, I only checked the other recent large expensive sets. Although the Bugatti is actually cheaper, so anything between 400 and 500$ is possible I guess.
  7. I would bet on 449$, if Lego continues to use the 1:1 exchange rate. Of course, this set doesn't come out before october, so there is still some time for a particular president to change that ;)
  8. It's a fact that they are paying Vestas for the 10268 Wind Turbine.
  9. yes, you are right, in terms of revenue there are bigger ones, but Liebherr has alot "world records", for example biggest mining excavator or biggest crawler crane. So let's say "one of the biggest", but that doesn't change my argument.
  10. Lego confirmed they are paying even Vestas(!) for the license. Of course Liebherr is getting paid for the license, why wouldn't they? It's on of the the biggest name when it comes to construction machines. The argument of "free advertisement" could be made for any brand (maybe except Ferrari, Porsche and Bugatti etc.).
  11. Another video (mostly in German), but the App demo is in English and it shows both the model and the screen, so you can see what the controls actually do.
  12. Andres has a video showing the Liebherr (and the 4x4). I have to say, I'm really impressed, both with the App functions and the model itself. It's much bigger than it looked on the pictures.
  13. It would be at least 14 wide to fit the tire tracks of the gate. It would be too big for the minifigs. But the problem ist not the vehicle, but the painting. A JP car would obviously rely heavily on stickers or prints, something you cannot easily "build" yourself.
  14. The funny thing is, if this was an Ideas set, the criticism would be the same (or even more). "Why is there no car?" "It has nothing to do with the Ideas project" "It's to big" "The Ideas project was perfect" etc.
  15. So I guess there is an opportunity here for bricklink resellers, if half the people like the gate and the other half like the T-Rex ;)
  16. I wonder if the control+ App will support external Controllers. Especialy since iOS13 will support PS4 and XBox Controllers. It doesn't hurt anyone, and makes the exsperience 100times better than stupid touch controls.
  17. I'm probably the only one, who likes the T-Rex, but not the gate. If it was just the T-Rex for half the price, this would have been a really nice set imho.
  18. I think itΛ‹s pretty much confirmed that it will be a Harley Davidson
  19. Just yellow minifig heads and no armprints: https://www.promobricks.de/lego-10266-creator-expert-nasa-apollo-11-lunar-lander-review/81185 and almost no prints, just stickers
  20. The set is already on sale in the german Legoland Shop: https://zusammengebaut.com/lego-creator-expert-nasa-apollo-11-lunar-lander-10266-wird-im-legoland-bereits-verkauft-71516/ Unfortunately no news about the minifig heads.
  21. even if it had a set number, it still wouldn't count as a regional exlusive: BTW, that is a really "strange" product photo on the lego store set website:
  22. because it's Lego's online store. What do you expect? ;) no prints, just stickers: https://www.stonewars.de/news/lego-stranger-things-castle-byers/
  23. The Strangest Thing is to do another teaser when the official pictures are already out.
