  1. Agreed. For that matter, I hope all the Night Troopers we get have xombie heads underneath(assuming we get some in the bear future). As much as I would love the Battle of Peridea to be a LAAT/le or Noti hut, it is probably the henge at the top of the nightsister tower. As for the Mandalorian bunker set, I would fully expect Paz to be the exact same figure but with a different build for his weapon, especially because the set is already going to include brand new figures for armored Moff Gideon and the Praetorian guards.
  2. Same here. I would have snatched it ip for $100 but I never saw it for less than $140... I like the set but sheesh. As far as the price changes go, I'll reserve judgement until we actually get a look at the sets.
  3. We still don't have any info. Some have suggested another highly memed LEGO Star Wars character like Rebel Friend, a hot tub Stormtrooper, Yarael Poof, or Yadel but that's all just wishlisting until we get more info.
  4. Oh my, I just had a crazy thought: what if it's white, black, and the new reddish orange to fit the color scheme of the cross-theme Space initiative they've been doing this year and they slap the Space logo on the corner of the box! That would be absolutely wild but I'd be here for it Same, I'll never be able to afford it but I'm always happy tohappyeither new or returning Star Wars alien molds. It always sucks when they're a one-off in an old expensive set. It's too bad Ree-Yees isn't listed but I'll be happy to maybe have a chance of getting Max Reebo off bricklink for a less than eye-watering price. I would absolutely buy a Max Reebo mech. As for other possible figures, I feel like Sy Snoodles is sorely missing. That'd be quite an interesting figure to be sure. I don't see a need for a new Jabba mold but perhaps it's just a slightly updated version of the old one since that one was most certainly discontinued. I still need Jabba and Salacious Crumb in my collection so hopefully the price of both on the aftermarket will drop a bit. Better yet, I hope they appear in a more affordable Jabba's throne room set in the near future.
  5. I think overall the Scimitar is a great set. From the front and the side, the fuselage is definitely too tall and the stacked playes don't look so great but from every other angle, especially top-down it looks excellent. I'm glad the Bloodfin is included, even if it's easily the worst version of the speeder we've gotten. Ditto for the probe droids(why are they barrels!?), still the play faerures look fun, the shaping on the back is decent and the figures look great. I can understand why people dislike the pupil-less eyes on Maul but I get why they changed it since pupils on a minifig are atypical. This way, he fits the more uniform style. I do agree though that he needed his hood and cape. Saw looks fantastic and I personally don't mind the green armor. LEGO doesn't produce the shade of greenish blue his armor has in Rogue One/Fallen Order but it at least kinda matches his appearance in Rebels. It's nice to see there are no stickers, only brick-built details and I think overall for the price this is a good value. The BARC speeder looks good but I still dislike that they went back to the old handlebars instead of the nicer, more accurate built up ones the past several BARCs have had. The side car looks nice and I'll be glad to have the pram but Kelleran Beq is the best part of this set. Hopefully we'll get offical images of the Droideka soon.
  6. So I thought about what the buildable creature could be that young Leia would come with and my best guess would be a Lothcat. That just makes the most sense to me. I'm glad to see other leakers come out and nip that nonsense in the bud about the fake falconfan post. Yes, the dark Falcon and Jedi Bob Starfighter still sound ridiculous and while I would have preferred more canon sets, I'm still very intrigued and excited for something almost completely new. I really hope Jedi Bob's Starfighter is a wild color, like teal.
  7. That's some interesting info and I agree about the new hose piece. I thought the same thing as soon as I saw it. I just recreated the new minifig-scale Droideka and I have to say, it's way better in person. I dare say it's actually the best one they've ever done. Looking at it straight on from the front and from a low level doesn't do it any favors. Also, contrary to what some have said, it actually CAN fold up into a ball, you just have to flip the legs upside down and remove the clear stand. As I've said before, I do hope the slope on the back is printed or even stickered to provide more details and make it a more desirable figure.
  8. R2-KT is a random choice but I respect it. Young Leia is definitely the outlier but hopefully she at least comes with Lola. I won't bother hoping for a new mold but I could see them including her as a printed 1x1 round tile or something like that. I can see why they chose her since she was an important part of the Kenobi show and was sorely missing from those sets but most of us would rather she was replaced by almost anyone else. I had personally hoped we might get Dirge. Krrsantan would also have been incredible but the fact they didn't use him gives me some hope that we might see a set based on tBoBF finale someday soon. I so badly want a set with Boba(weilding his gaffi stick) and his Rancor with Krrsantan, Cad Bane, a couple Pykes and a Scorponek Droid. I really believe such a set would sell very, very well, regardless of what some people thought of the show or the finale because there is so much desireable stuff to pack into such a set.
  9. After today's Bad Batch episode, I'm just going to reiterate that we NEED more Bad Batch sets! Seriously LEGO, there's so much potential for ships and minifigs, especially in season 3 so far.
  10. You know, I wonder if the T rex trailer set is inspired by the Lost World scene where the trailer is dangling off the cliff, since the Stegosaurus set is clearly based on the Lost World. Having the T rex be black and dark blue of course wouldn't be accurate but when has that stopped LEGO before? In which case, a baby T rex mold could very likely be possible. On a side note, the fact that we're getting a dedicated brick-built Bumpy set tells me that LEGO knows she is popular and will sell well, so that gives me greater hope that we will eventually get a recolor of the Ankylosaurus as grown up Bumpy, hopefully later this year or possibly next year. I am also assuming the buildable Bumpy is baby Bumpy. Oh, and somehow I almost forgot, but back when they announced the Chaos Theory show, they mentioned that we would be getting another named Ankylosaurus in the show so I expect we will see that in a LEGO set eventually. I would also imagine that a LEGO Allosaurus is guaranteed at some point too.
  11. The Droideka being able to roll up is excellent news. Saw having a printed cape is definitely nice and not something I expected. Edit: I just saw the picture of the large Droideka rolled up and man, that really makes me happy. There's also a picture of the minifig-scale version recreated. I do like it despite it's compromises. I would feel better about it if the back slope piece was printed with some nice detail or even included as a sticker, but I wouldn't hold my breath on it. Still, I just wish they would have given us at least one specialized mold or two for the body of the thing, and also used the newish mech finger piece for the legs instead of the goofy Chima claw.
  12. I'm very excited to finally to finally get a Stegosaurus! I got really excited for a new Bumpy set before I realized it's sadly not an adult Bumpy figure. Seriously LEGO, the Ankylosaurus mold is so perfect, just recolor it for Bumpy already!!! Still, I'm a sucker for Ankylosaurus and I love Bumpy so I'll probably still get that set. A dark blue and black T rex is definitely intriguing. I can't wait to get a look at these sets.
  13. That is an absolutely phenomenal build, very impressive! You've perfectly captured one of my all-time favorite Star Wars ships.
  14. Shock Troopers definitely would have been more enticing given how common 501st have been in recent years, as much as I love them. Or better yet, a Shock Trooper and a Naboo guard. It would have been a great way to get another TPM minifig during the anniversary even without being a TPM set.
  15. Finally! I love this set and I'm so glad it comes with the pram but man, that is NOT $30 worth of LEGO... Still, I love the Kelleran Beq minifig and I won't say no to more 501st troops. I do wish the BARC speeder was sleeker than it is. It's really boxy. I had hoped it would take advantage of recent Speed Champions slope pieces to smooth and round it out nicely. Also, the Coruscant lamp post is kind of a waste of a build but I don't know what more they could have done without using more pieces. Maybe the Jedi temple doorway they exit from?
  16. I agree. I think people would have been happier(myself included) if we had gotten at least one more system-scale set to celebrate it, perhaps in the fall wave. A $30 remake of the Flash Speeder or the Gungan Patrol with a new Kaadu mold would have made me happy, of course if I was being greedy I'd say I'd want new podracers(except Anakin's because we recently got it, but now I'm realizing that was 5 years ago....)
  17. And it's not just the Phantom Menace, it's the entire prequel trilogy that gets neglected, in fact I think Attack of the Clones gets it even worse. I just bought the Bounty Hunter Pursuit from bricklink for $70 because I've long since given up on LEGO ever remaking that set and I've pretty much given up ever getting Jango Fett's Slave I. Dare I even mention the lack of a Petranaki arena. That said, I've been itching to get Sebulba's Podracer for quite a long time too. I'll probably break down and get the fantastic 2011 set at some point. Maybe someday they'll realize there is a big market and demand for prequel sets from the generation that grew up with them but sadly it won't be any time soon. Anyway, I'll probably end up getting this new Scimitar because it's one of my favorite ships in all of Star Wars and its smaller size would give me a bit more space on the wall for other ships if I replace the 2015 version. I have all my ships mounted on the walls in my LEGO room using the LEGO art bracket pieces. I still need to see better pictures of the Scimitar from different angles and see the interior for a final judgement though. I do think it's at least an appropriate size and I really like how the cockpit window is done. That's definitely the worst part of the 2015 version in my opinion, and heck most LEGO versions have done a bad job with the cockpit window. Now I'm just waiting to see the Grogu rescue set. I'm hoping it's a decent build. It might be the only set I actually pick up on release since it's fairly cheap and desirable and the May 4th patch and keychain are worthless and definitely not worth spending a ton of money to get.
  18. I meant 2002. The new Scimitar looks pretty good. I have the nice big one from 2015 so I'm iffy on wether this new one is going to be nice enough to replace it. I need to see better angles abd a get a better look at the back to decide. Hopefully there's also a speeder bike for Maul inside as well. Also, it astounds me that they STILL cannot get the curvature of the wings right! They just flat-out gave up here. I find that rather disappointing. I mist say, overall it's not as smooth as I would have liked but there are some good design choices. I just need more before I make a final judgement. Also, what's with the probe droids? Why are they so cylindrical and flat on the sides, they look horrible! The Saw Garerra figure looks great, if not a bit more green than I expected. Oh well, just remove the hairpiece and you get the version from Rebels/Fallen Order. I'm very happy we're finally getting him.
  19. Looking more closely at the Droideka, it looks to me like it has a function for the arms to swing forward and backward like it's shooting. Just look at the way the arms are attached. If so, that's pretty neat.
  20. No, the 2011 one is horrendous. I'm currently looking at a comparison of every singe one LEGO has made and it is by far the worst. Even the ugly, oversized 2007 version is better. The new one is a huge improvement over most of them. The worst part of it is the head beign smashed down onto the body but the rest is fine. I'm not surprised they used that claw piece for the legs on the new one, though I was hoping they would have used the new mech finger piece, that would have been so much better.
  21. Saying it's the worst one ever is hyperbolic and utterly absurd when the horrendous, giant 2011 exists. This is easily the 2nd best one they've done but that's not saying much. They've never done better than the original 1999 version but this one at least looks decent. The rest have been consistently awful. After 25 years it's clear that making a minifig-scale Droideka with regular parts and making it durable enough for LEGO standards is impossible and we all need to push for a set of specialized Droideka molds. It's long overdue.
  22. The podrace diorama looks fabtastic, way better than I expected. The buildable Droideka is a must-have for me as it's my favorite droid. The minifig-scale Droideka is by far the best one they've ever done but it's still got issues. Not going to lie, I was hoping we would finally get some specialized molds for it. I don't see why battle droids, super battle droids and astromechs can have unique molds and Droidekas can't. I think it's clear after 25 years, LEGO just can't get them right with regular bricks. Sadly, it doesn't look like either the big one or the minifig-scale one can easily roll up into a ball but perhaps they can with some partsforming or modification. Also, a little disappointed we aren't getting a 25th anniversary figure with it, I thought we were.
  23. The cmf looks incredible! I especially love all the player characters with male/female swappable faces. That was such a fantastic decision, I would love to see more of that in different LEGO themes with non-character minifigs. I love all the new molds. The Tiefling is my favorite of course. I'm definitely going to use it to create my D&D character.
  24. Not to mention it's a really important scene to Grogu's backstory and clearly we'll see more of him in flashbacks with the way they ended the scene.
  25. Kelleran Beq looks good and the gold details definitely elevate the minifig and the robe design of the actual character. Despite what others are saying, this set needed to happen. I simply wish it had included at least one Naboo Royal guard and a couple of Shock Troopers instead of the 501st again but more clones is more clones. I do hope the BARC build is substantial though and we really, really need Grogu to come with his pram at this point. That would help the value of the set because $30 for just a BARC with a sidecar seems absurd. There has to be some other build(s) to help justify that. Or better yet, this set should have been the H-type Nubian Yacht instead of a BARC, despite the BARC being more prominent in the scene.
