  1. Great review and I especially love the posing you used in your picture. It really brings some life to the set. Am I the only one that intensely dislikes this new Hulk? I know they were going for movie accuracy, but it just doesn't look right to me. The older version just looks so much better in my opinion. Much closer to the comics, which is obviously my preferred look for the character.
  2. Great scene. I think those guys are going to regret their choice of jobs when the Rancor's buddies emerge from the cave.
  3. Great names. How about Brick-under-Hinge, Lego-no-Ess, or SNOTSville? Fantastic! I love it!
  4. I've always loved the names of rural English villages, and my town is pretty small due to lack of space, so mine is Studs upon Tubes.
  5. I'm going to try to make the most of the double VIP promotion and finally pick up the Death Star.
  6. If Valentine's Day actually had such spectacular displays of bloody carnage, I might actually celebrate it. Great job! I love the chopped off head sailing backwards. Clever use of the clear bricks.
  7. These are fantastic! I love the bleak starkness of the colour palette you chose combined with the few flashes of brilliant colour. As someone who doesn't generallly enjoy mixing old with new themes (I'm still mystified by the love cyberpunk receives), for me to be instantly struck by your creation really shows how great a job you have done I making a stunning diorama. Well done!
  8. Looking good. I suggest adding some torches along the walls and perhaps have a full skeleton hanging from the chain (as a not so subtle warning to visitors). Perhaps some animals in cages, waiting to be used as ingredients in the wizard's next nefarious concoction.
  9. Thanks for answering my questions. Photography is a relatively new hobby of mine so seeing how others create their pictures is always a learning experience for me. That cotton ball trick is one I had never heard about. I look forward to seeing more of your work
  10. Nice build. I'd have the top overhang the front of the tower and add some bats and gargoyles for creepy effect. You did a great job incorporating the teeth/claws into the sides of the building, could you also incorporate something similar on top? Maybe have a wall of spikes instead of a solid wall on top? A pot of hot oil ready to throw onto the townsfolk that come knocking on the front door would be cool. It will be interesting to see how you finish it off.
  11. I really like your design and especially appreciate the humorous pictures to display it. Great job!
  12. At that price it's hard to complain if you are missing a few pieces, unless the seller advertised it as a complete set.
  13. Wonderful build! I think you have just the right number of spikes on the roof. The garden is equally as impressive and the fountain is a terrific feature!
  14. The second batch of pics is just as great as the first. I especially love Roughing Up a Witness. The look on his face says it all, and the iconic robber's silhouette is fantastic. Are you using a macro lens for these shots? If so, what focal length? Are you using flash or continuous lighting or a mixture of the two? I'd love to see a behind the scenes pic of your setup.
  15. Fantastic photos! Great lighting and composition. You've really captured the essence of the era and theme.
  16. Best set: Benny's Spaceship Spaceship Spaceship! (Classic space represents so many good memories from my childhood) Worst set: Anything from the Minecraft theme (just not a fan of the game or theme) Best Minifig: Benny (just perfectly awesome) Worst Minifig: Spooky Girl from CMF Series 12 (I ended up with so many of her that I just became sick of her) Best theme: The LEGO Movie (a new theme that was original and fun) Worst theme: Minecraft (just not my thing) I'm most excited about the Detective's Office modular set in 2015.
  17. Great scene! I love that she's bringing him milk and cookies. So typically Aunt May. What about Mrs. Claus's hair? I think I've seen it in the build a minifigure display at the LEGO store, so should be easy to get.
  18. I have similar feelings to WarSquirrel. I have no issues buying the figures that LEGO doesn't make but won't touch the knock offs of official figures. I have some Fantastic Four figures on their way to me so I'm not in a position yet to comment on their quality, but the reviews of others on this site seem fairly positive. I can't imagine them matching the quality of the real figures but if there's a scene I want to recreate, there's no other choice for me as I have zero customizing ability. My hope is that if these figures become popular enough, LEGO will realize there's a market for them and make their own.
  19. I still have some cups sitting around from September so it's an ongoing count.
  20. $3.86 at Walmart. In case anyone was thinking of popping into my local Walmart to pick some up, don't bother. There were about 40 on the shelves yesterday afternoon but when I went back today they were all gone. Either they realized their mistake and pulled them, or some POS cleaned them out. Either way, looks like I'll be waiting until January to pick up the few I'm still missing.
  21. If I was a Stormtrooper, I'd be very worried about standing at a station, waiting for a train, with a bunch of Rebels behind me. Who knows if they're the pushy sort?
  22. Brilliantly executed piece of work! I especially love the attention to small details, such as some of the grills being just slightly up to simulate the frills at the end of the rug and the toys just peeking out from under the bookshelf. Fantastic!
  23. Especially since none of the upcoming Pirates sets includes a large blue baseplate. I better go hunting for some more before they disappear completely.
  24. It was the Walmart in Brampton, Ontario on Steeles Ave., just east of Kennedy Road. Sure. It was 6 73419 23151 0
