  1. One thing to be very careful of, and something that many overlook, is greasy or oily fingers. Many food oils will weaken the plastic and cause cracks at any mold seams and stress points, which minifigs have a lot of. I found this out the hard way from MOCing while eating potato chips, and lost around thirty cheese slopes because they all cracked due to my oily fingers, and it happened in a matter of a week or two. If your child is eating before or while they're playing with the minifigs, it's very likely that it's part of the problem. Lego may send some replacements, but if you don't make sure your childs hands are squeaky clean before handling them, then it will most likely happen again and I'd imagine they wont just keep replacing them. I hope this helps. Cheers
  2. Cool theme, interesting and challenging guidelines, sweet prizes, no questions,...see ya at the finish line.
  3. And we have a winner!
  4. I don't care if LEGO ever develops anything new or creative ever again, as long as they bring back LEGO Universe. HA!
  5. So many great little details. Best Cat B for sure.
  6. Thanks for the feed back, and I completely understand what your saying about the tower being a bit big. When I build minifig scale, I'm a real stickler for making sure that minifigs can actually fit inside, so I made sure there is room for at least two figs, plus there is a working hatch down into the hold. I thought alot about going two studs less in width but I ended up liking the way the windows divided up. I think it looks a bit more bombastic this way.Cheers.
  7. Wow, so creative. Crutch is my favorite, but McClawson in the kilt,..cool.
  8. Ialso agree, but this is still a great Cat B entry, especially because its a real team build. Nice work.

  12. All I know, is it's about bloody time.
  13. Uber Everything Vehicle?
  14. Getting DQ'd at this stage would really suck. I'm fine with letting the voters decide.
  15. Cheers, and thanks for fixin' my pics Jim.
  16. For some reason my pictures aren't displaying correctly in my entry thread for the [TC5] contest. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=101578&st=25#entry2066119 I copied the pics from flickr the same way as I did for my intro topic, but it just shows the text. just for kicks I copied one of the pics directly from one of the images in the topic, and that one shows up. Am I missing something here?
  17. 36. VTOL Heli-Plane My build uses sets #8068 and #42020, which have 408 and 145 pieces respectively, for a total of 553 pieces. I used 490 on the ship and 14 on the stand, with 34 and 29 pieces unused. The Leftovers by CleverNiftyDude, on Flickr Functions incude: Manual 90 deg. swivel of wings/props/landing wheels. Manual tail fin rotation. HOG prop spin. HOG Ratcheting rescue basket. TOPIC:http://www.eurobrick...howtopic=102730
  18. It's very helpful, thank you.
  19. A bit gangly, but it does have some technical merit, and its pretty cool for three hours work.
  20. At the moment those are meant to be guns of one kind or another. I thought it would be handy to have some back up when going in alone, into a dangerous rescue situation, and little firepower on hand couldn't hurt.Having made this from two other rescue heli's, the stickers and the color scheme kind of set the tone for the build. I don't usually use stickers, but in this case I think they complement. Cheers
  21. Many thanks for all the kind words. I'm going to try to get a couple more photos of the back, with the rescue basket hanging down, then I'll update the post and list the functions and such. Cheers
  22. This is definitely my favorite TC5 build that i've seen so far. I like the less weapon-like, more futuristic civilian type of look you got. Although I do think you could try to do a bit more of a windscreen/cockpit for the poor rider who's gonna be eating all those bugs and grit. Cheers
