  1. My build for the contest uses sets #8068 and #42020, which have 408 and 145 pieces respectively, for a total of 553 pieces. I used 490 on the ship and 14 on the stand. Leaving 34 and 29 pieces unused. The Leftovers by CleverNiftyDude, on Flickr Major pin and axle shortage with these two sets. VTOL Heli-plane by CleverNiftyDude, on Flickr The stand,...barely stands, but I was able to get some cool banking shots,... as it slowly fell over. VTOL with Pilot by CleverNiftyDude, on Flickr Just happen to have a matching Technic Fig for scale,..Nice! Unfortunately my entry post will be pilot-less, as he is not part of either set. VTOL Cockpit by CleverNiftyDude, on Flickr A close-up of the pit, with assorted NF controls and interface. VTOL Top view by CleverNiftyDude, on Flickr Functions incude: Manual 90 deg. swivel of wings/props/landing wheels Manual tail fin rotation HOG prop spin. HOG Ratcheted rescue basket I think I'm going to try to get a few more photos before I enter it. Cheers.
  2. Is there a tutorial on how to ad a link to another topic
  3. Is this just LEGO store builds only or does it affect TRU in store giveaways as well. The free build events here are definitely getting to the breaking point in terms of long line-ups and people getting really pushy.
  4. Your wife gave you money for LEGO?...I don't think I've ever even daydreamed about that? Do you live in some kind of wonderful LEGO heaven?
  5. So many great contests and so little time, but that mask would be so cool to have. I'm currently tryin to get something together for the Technic C-Model build, and as I'm going through a bin of loose CCBS/Technic parts, I start getting ideas for this bionicle villian. Well now I totally gotta do both contests,.. in less than 3 weeks. Having two awesome prize builds in the same month is almost cruel, but also very worth the challenge/s. Cheers CND
  6. I got a few small sets back in 75 but this is the one I remember. We lived up in northern BC then, and needless to say there wasn't much of a toy selection, so my dad used to get them for me on his business trips to various cities. http://www.1000steine.com/brickset/images/659-1.jpg
  7. Just seeing if I can quoteOpel Rak 2 by CleverNiftyDude, on Flickr
  8. This time I'm using Chrome XR71 Steamhawk by CleverNiftyDude, on Flickr I guess I'll use chrome for EB from know on, unless there's a fix fo IE
  9. I understand how to get the image from flickr, but I cant paste it in. Nothing happens. I can type text but as soon as I try to add anything from the toolbar it just locks up. another test [https://www.flickr.c...in/photostream] The only way it works is if I type the URL in manually
  10. I cant seem to get a picture (Flickr) into my post. When I click on "Link" or "Image" I get the input window, I can paste in the URL, but then it just freezes up and nothing. I have to close EB to get out. HELP!
  11. Just a test to see if I can get a picture up. So far not so good.
  12. Just following new member protocol and introducing myself. Got my first set in 1974, played passionately until 1984, when my dark age started and I made the worst mistake of my life and let my mom give away my collection (Entire Classic Space Lineup) OH GOD WHAT HAVE I DONE!.. Just give me a minute,...Then I had a couple of kids, which re-ignited the fire, and in 1999 (Star Wars) my renaissance began. I've been following EB for a couple years now, but I'm not usually one to comment just to see myself talk. And it always takes me a while to really commit to something, but I figured it was about time. And there was a cool contest, which I love, so here I am. Cheers and here's to the future of Eurobricks Steve D.aka. CleverNiftyDude
  13. Greetings fellow AFOL's, and much thanks for letting me join in the fray. I've been meaning to become a member for a while now, but I've never been one to throw in my two cents just to see myself talk. I do love a good contest though, and this one is right up my alley, so here I am. I now have to go dig through all my old instructions and hopefully find something good. Good luck to all the competitors, Cheers CND
