  1. Oh, was unaware they would release Marvel figures if Marvel were not in attendance - thanks for letting me know. Yeah, personally hoping for Ego also.
  2. Marvel are believed to be attending D23 instead of SDCC - as such i'm unsure if we'd get a Lego figure release with SDCC. D23 July 14th-16th SDCC July 19th-23rd
  3. Side view of the ship. Most noteably it actually looks fairly good from the side, i can easily see someone filling in the gaps and having a 'hull' appearance - only difficulty would be the bow of the ship - other than that you can give it the apppearance of a hull easily. Actually its a bit creepier now, because from a distance i could see people mistaking it for a normal pirate ship only for it to rise up - expect the movie will have a similar scene. I heavily doubt that it will be released with Ninjago as none of the Ninjago villains appear to be ghostly :P Has anyone considered that this may be an Avengers Helicarrier situation? During and after the VIP early access the set was meant to have a promotion where you could buy the set and get a figure free (In that case Winter Soldier). Its worth noting there was a small delay with that promotion not appearing on time essentially meaning a bunch of VIP's brought the Helicarrier early and missed the promotion. This could be the same with the ship. You buy the ship and there is a promotional release of the ghost shark for all those who buy the set.
  4. Its been down for maintenance on-and-off the last few days, so probably working on something. It'll come back though, normally after an hour or so of downtime. True, it's an alright costume, but i dont personally think it is necessary for the movie. Given we probably wont see it for more than one fight scene with Shocker or something. Maybe we'll be lucky and get it as a polybag, but i dont expect we will given there are more important characters deserving of a figure release such as Ego, Happy Hogan or other characters who would round-off the line-up of figures for a theme. Spider-man Homecoming is missing quite a considerable amount of figure representations also, so i doubt they would release an alternative suit over a new character.
  5. Maybe we should just not speculate and instead discuss the current sets? I mean, we can't discuss Ares (Based on staff remarks) We have no clue what they'll do with Steppenwolf (Given recently they mentioned he does not look like in BvS) Everyone seems to be getting over-hyped about getting a ton of figures that are minor OR locations that are'nt even confirmed The information about the upcoming films is vague and at times contradictory and everyone just seems annoyed or confused by the speculation...
  6. There are quite a few pictures of the battle pack on this instagram; https://www.instagram.com/titazane/
  7. In terms of likelyhood of a polybag release for the Home Made Suit, i would'nt hold out hope. In the current line-up we are missing out on 'Ego' from GOTG 2 and considering that line-up has three sets, it'd be more likely a polybag would center around that movie. The criteria the two use to recommend or not recommend is different and i think thats worth acknowledging for those here who are wondering about buying the set; - Jang's recommendation seems contradictory, he critiques the scale of the Abelisk ('a compromise') and then praises the new Milano being smaller as it improves the playability of 'swooshing' - Michaelmgf does not recommend the set and re-iterates previous points, comparing to the previous and citing the decreased scale and lack of detail of the Milano and the inability to fit the entire team of Guardians as his reasons I just feel Michaelmgf presents a viewpoint that better acknowledges the quality of the set and is more representative of those of us who either remember the previous Milano or own it - which is the majority of this topic. I want to ensure that people see a viewpoint from someone who owns and remembers the 2014 Milano in order to get a proper sense of whether to buy this set or potentially get the older version (if they can) or at least be aware of the flaws that the set has so they can make an informed decision. If you want a custom; Goggles; http://brickset.com/parts/4113923/flying-goggles Torso and head; http://brickset.com/minifigs/spd012/spider-man-2-balaclava-face Legs and arms; http://brickset.com/minifigs/sh205/spider-man-black-web-pattern-red-boots Find a basic way to attach the goggles to the head and you are good to go. Would not be accurate, but it'd get you fairly close. The torso is the most difficult because the movie version is a red hoodie with a Spider-man symbol.
  8. For a better review that actually tackles the flaws the set has;
  9. I'm fairly sure all the Shocker variants are real and that we'll see each of the costumes. As for which we'll get in a set, i expect we'll see Version 4 potentially using the Gauntlet pieces we see on the Mighty Micro's Thanos (just in Silver) - probably no leg printing with the potential for dual molded or printed arms (possibly similar to Spider-man)
  10. Fine, my mistake. However, Groot is still the exact size he is popularised as being in that movie. The most iconic scene is Groot with Rocket on his shoulder, and he's in scale to do exactly that. In the same sense GOTG2 Groot is small enough to fit on Rocket's shoulder mirroring the movie scene.
  11. I never mentioned the idea of going back and re-doing the figure. My thoughts were more that the figure itself may have gotten delayed in production due to all the variations of Shocker's costume we see. Lego may not have been sent the concept art on time and that could explain the figure not being shown. There are reasons other than spoilers which could explain the lack of the reveal. I'm certain we've had cases in the past where an unfinalised figure is not revealed and we've definitely had cases recently where something from a set has been obscured or is missing for different reasons; - The POTC set is missing the Zombie Shark, either because it has been dropped from the set, belongs in another POTC set or is simply going to be added to the box-art and included later - The new CMF line-up, most likely to encourage people to buy to discover the figure's identity OR to hype the identity of the figure. Its not always for spoiler reasons. Have no clue what you are on about with Groot or Ant-man; - Groot was to scale with Rocket in the prison scene which was the scene being depicted during the movie and he was included in a set based partially around that scene. - Ant-Man's helmet was accurate enough for a Lego version of the helmet Is it certain it's him?
  12. The CGI version is clearly outdated. The toy is definitely based on the version shown on the poster; Prototype pieces often appear in primary colours. I believe you are referring to me. I read the news about the Spider-man Homecoming sets and because i didnt notice Delta_Customs specify that there were only two sets, an innacurate piece of information on Brickset led me to believe there were three sets for Spider-man Homecoming instead of two. I did not have an inside source, i just ended up believing that Brickset was accurate when it was not. I firmly believe that Delta_Customs is right about the mystery figure being Shocker, chances are that Shocker's design has evolved quite a bit. By my count we've seen four or five different designs for the Shocker already - the most recent being below. I expect Lego are making final adjustments to the figure to avoid potentially having an innacurate figure of the Shocker. If they intend to make a highly detailed figure they would want it to be as accurate as possible, especially after having to alter Vision and Spider-man to be more movie-accurate after people were disappointed/angry with the figures they got. An innacurate figure causes more anger amonst the fanbase than an underwhelming figure. While Vulture is underwhelming, the Torso is accurate and the printing on the helmet is accurate (even if the helmet itself is not accurate). If we'd gotten an innacurate Vulture, fans would have been angry but because its just underwhelming we're only disappointed.
  13. He's discussing concept art, we have'nt actually seen the movie footage. I expect it wont be blue. As far as we are aware, we have the two sets and characters for both. Given the only character's missing from the line-up currently are I dont believe we had concrete information on the 4th Civil War set until very close to the movie and it was a week or so after the movie's release we actually got the official reveal. Even up to the movie's release people were still having debates about the potential for a fourth set. If you are theorising about a potential set in addition to the 3 GOTG2, 2 Spider-man Homecoming or 2 Thor Ragnarok sets i'd expect it to be much the same scenario where we dont see the set until after the movie's release. Though sadly i feel we may just have the previously mentioned line-up. If there was a set, it'd probably be for Thor Ragnarok and we probably would'nt see it until November.
  14. I'm not entirely sure what's happened here, but this contradicts a few BZP tweets about which sets were displayed and the remarks concerning them. They mentioned we were going to get prices and names for sets... neither of which is in the recent post... Pointing out them in the trailer is helpful, but this seems contradictory to the info we got via the BZP tweets and to the trailer itself... E.g. "The four-legged mech, piloted by Zane in the trailer, is a set. I could be remembering wrong, but I feel like the set was black and piloted by Cole though." - Cole possibly piloting Nya's Walker, which the writer thought was piloted by Zane and it may or may not be black anymore. - BZP tweets mentioned Cole having a vehicle - however we have no mention of his new vehicle in the write-up unless they mean Nya's Walker - BZP tweets mentioning Jay having a new vehicle - however the write-up mentions having the same vehicle as the trailers. It just feels like it was written by a different person - and because they delayed in the write-up we dont have a lot of the information promised such as the names, prices or more detailed info on the sets :/
  15. I believe BZPower will be doing a summary of the sets later this week (or next week) - so its possible that we can discuss them... unless you've got a restriction. I think it was just imagery that NYTF was trying to avoid because of companies copying the designs. Hopefully whoever you are querying with will give you the go-ahead to talk about them. Thanks for confirming a few of the sets though :) Hopefully the mech's are good.
  16. Just realised... the movie is having the Fenrir Wolf, Surtur and possibly the Midgard Serpent... and we wont be getting any of them :/ Kind of sucks we wont get them. Can't comment in stores, but the online catalogue sadly does'nt have them. No problem, only thing i kind of forgot about is the Nova Corp figure from the 2014 line-up, though it was in the cheapest set of that wave so it'll probably be easy to pick-up on Bricklink;
  17. Any idea why the release date at NYTF is different? and the calendar shows the VIP members getting it as late March...
  18. I can only go to the conclusion that the 'Blue Ship' is either an unfinished/unpainted Destiny's Bounty OR Jay's vehicle. Though the remarks about Kai's mech are a bit confusing... given other remarks about it being scaled down.
  19. Either he's seen the brick-built fig and its accurate hence the design posting OR he's not seen the figure's details and is just aware of the brick-built figure and is posting what could be the movie Ares for the purposes of discussion on how the brick-built figure might look. Was trying to get a fix on which. Would be more concerned with what the Justice League sets might do to Steppenwolf, given the character could be skipped like Doomsday OR cartoon'ised because of the very sharp spikey design and menacing look.
  20. https://c1.staticflickr.com/1/768/32128103114_8df1e0568a_o.jpg Is anyone else a little perplexed with the release date listed? 5/1/17... May 1st 2017 Meanwhile VIP early access is March 27th - March 30th... Either they got the date wrong or VIP's get access to the set over a month prior to the release... pretty sure i have'nt heard of this happening before. @Ecclesiastes Thoughts?
  21. To the same extent, the Ares figure is not actually claiming to be based on the movie. - Released under a line called 'Wonder Woman Movie DC Multiverse' which is exactly the same line that both the Power Armour Lex Luthor toys were released under... - Though the other figures are movie accurate, it could be similar to either of the Lex Luthor situation's in that one of them is not accurate and could be a new design I'm just wondering if the design has changed - and Delta might be aware of whether this is the case for the brickbuilt figure
  22. Just checking, have you seen the Ares design and does it look like this. Only wondering because we had a collectable figure for Dormammu for the Doctor Strange movie sets and it was not film accurate;
  23. As for thoughts on a potential new set... i'm still expecting the Shark to be in this set, just a last minute addition. Things have been missing from official images before and we'll know for certain with the box art. The Flying Dutchman is a unique set in that its one of the few i cant see being destroyed. Personally i'm expecting Barbossa to end up getting control of the Flying Dutchman for a battle with Jack in the sixth movie - given they are the two most recogniseable characters of the franchise... that aside, it does appear in this movie, but i dont think we'll see a set anytime soon. Releasing a Flying Dutchman with Jack, Barbossa, Will Turner and a Ghost Shark would make less people buy this set. It would be more recogniseable, have the better figures and characters, have a unique shark design and generally be what everyone wants. I believe it does also, but i sincerely doubt that its accessible from the front. On the back there is what appears to be room for a door, so maybe its a case where the back top part of the ship lifts off to reveal the interior. Chances are we'll see the box images fairly soon, i'm guessing around the start of March.
  24. CMF 15, they belong to the knight with the mace. Feel the arm print could work for Vulture. Potentially the power blast pieces, either having them to represent the sound blasts or alternatively i can see someone customising them into gauntlets Honestly, if you dont mind waiting... Avengers Infinity War is primarily stated as being the 'GOTG meeting the Avengers'. I highly expect the Avengers and the GOTG to get top billing in regards to the 2018 Infinity War sets - so you may want to wait till then. As for which Milano is better for money in terms of the ship, the 2014 Milano is superior as it has a back cabin and given you're attempting to try and get all the GOTG i'd expect you'd want all to fit. 2014 ship already has room for four figures and with a tiny bit of modding can fit four in the front and two in the back, so you'd be able to fit in Yondu, Gamora, Drax, Starlord, Nebula and Mantis (along with baby Groot). 2017 Milano simply doesnt have room for any more than four figures in the front. Buy the following sets; 1. 2014 Milano 2. Ayesha's Revenge 3. Ravager Attack 4. Rocket Polybag This gets you every main figure in outfits you'd like, only exception is Big-Fig Groot (You already have Nebula) 2014 Milano; Ronan - Main villain from Movie 1 Star-Lord - Movie 1 suit Gamora - Movie 1 suit Drax - Movie 1 suit Sakarraan - Movie 1 grunts Ayesha's Revenge; Ayesha - Main villain from Movie 2 Yondu - Movie 1 Ravager Outfit Star-lord - Movie 1 Casual clothes Baby Groot - Movie 1 syled suit Ravager Attack; Taserface - Side villain from Movie 2 Mantis - New GOTG member Rocket - Movie 2 variant Rocket Polybag; Rocket - Highly detailed movie 1 suit with arm printing and leg printing also comes with a stick for 'sapling Groot'. Depending on where you live you can get this cheap, get duplicates for giving your Star-Lord and Gamora epic arm printing.
  25. A Shocker without a helmet that has dual molded arms and legs might make up for how they skimped out on Vulture. Though it is still immensely disappointing that we did not get a better Vulture figure. Personally thinking of using the arms from this figure; And the feet from this Vulture (if they exist) - anyone know if they exist? Best gauntlet would be the new hand-held pieces. Have dual molded arms and make the new launcher hand pieces as the weapons for Shocker.
