  1. As others have stated, no interior. However re-watching the build that the Brother Brick did it does look fairly easy to mod it to have a small captain's quarters; The interior segment is entirely empty and a square box. All you'd need to do is dress it up a bit and you'd have a basic cabin approximately 8 by 8. It would'nt be large enough for more than one or two figures, but it'd definitely be able to fit them (though they may need to sit depending on the height)
  2. While i appreciate that you managed to grab the thumbnail copies, i've decided its best to finish my plunder of the Lego website and deliver the high resolution copies of all the new images. I have avoided including all the figures because we already have high resolution versions of them. Please enjoy, be sure to click the images to view the enlarged versions. *Feel free to use these versions for your blog, might help others to decide whether they want the set.
  3. Considering potentially getting two of these, one to display as a Ghost Ship the other to mod into a complete ship. Took them long enough, kind of sad the mystery is over. We also get high-resolution images of the set including the box-art. It took me a while fiddling but i managed to rip one of them directly from Lego's server's - so its high res. (click to expand, its fairly huge) Though yeah - can probably get the others if required but i think this best demonstrates the set;
  4. The movie ravagers are primarily normal skinned or blue skinned, so i'm not sure the Lava monster or Stone monster faces would work well. I think you'd also have to get multiples of Yondu's torso instead of Taserfaces, as Taserface's outfit fits more with his group of rebels. Meanwhile Taserface's has noticeable fur details on the top and the side is noticeably printed differently to the normal costume.
  5. Fairly sure a debate about which reviewer is better wont help anyone :P I think we'll get a designer video, would be unfortunate not to given the scale of the ship and the thought that must have went into the design process. Would honestly be interested in seeing more concept art of the ship - so hopefully we get an art book or something for POTC 5. Brickvault confirmed it to be the CMF series 14 Spectre ghostly lower half. ==== Looking forward to getting the set, definitely going to be re-working it into a complete vessel.
  6. As Azog mentioned, the 30th Anniversary in 2019 seems the most likely time for more Pirates sets. I would expect it to be one large D2C set if it happens. If The Silent Mary (2017 POTC5 ship) sells well, then i expect we could see a full line-up of Pirates sets in the future. POTC6 (If it happens) may be accompanied by a set also so there's that, fans have been clamoring after The Flying Dutchman for a while.
  7. Unsure exactly but it may be the same piece as the CMF 14 Spectre - definitely looks similar. If we have'nt got confirmation by the time the set arrives i'll do some comparisons.
  8. Just explaining to clairfy :3 The live stream had internet connectivity issues, it went down while they were doing the stream. As such they technically had two livestreams. The video that went up first was actually only about half the livestream. The newer video is both halves edited together :) I think the money for leg and arm printing went towards the Ghost Sharks - also in regards to the figures - only Henry and the masthead feel like they could do with extra printing (particularly leg prints). Though it is disappointing that we dont get legs on the other ghost figure. Having a ghostly army will be difficult when the only leg print we have in light grey has one leg clear. Personally i find the ghosts would have been much better if they looked like this - it'd give great options for variance and army building a damaged ghostly crew. Hopefully someone makes custom legs so we can actually have an army of the ghostly grey crew.
  9. @Jacob Nion The official version is 68cm in length - so by calculations by members here that only requires a 9-10cm increase. My main concern is the front of the ship - the sides seem fairly self-explanitory (Though the pieces used are pricey to acquire in the number needed) - though i do appreciate the warning about not underestimating the frustration building such a vessel will have. The spires will also be frustrating - there are pieces to better replicate the spires but the difficulty lies in them not appearing in any useable colour other than black - so even if i can replicate the scale i wont get the right colour scheme without painting them. It is an ambitious task @Legostone @Maxim I I appreciate that you posted the image of the ship, i believe its in the instructions, but seeing it now has certainly helped the direction of which i will need to take the ship. I originally planned on drawing inspiration mostly from how the UCS Black Pearl was handled, in which the middle deck cannons will be official lego cannons while the upper deck and spires will be smaller brick-built cannons to maximise the room on the deck. I have 16 official Lego cannons currently so a small bricklink order should provide enough to have 10 on either side. I did not expect Lego to ignore an entire layer of guns though... this complicates things. Though i did understand this to be a large project - so it's unlikely it will be done anytime soon. If i'm lucky i can probably get the basic deck done - but the hull is going to take a while.
  10. The Brothers Brick review was probably of a set given to them by Lego for the sole purpose of reviewing, so had a different box art. Meanwhile BrickVault's is very likely an official set that will be for public release. Thats the only explanation i can think of anyway...
  11. Bricklink, they were listed under a different type of shark as Bricklink does not have the item definition for the ghost shark yet.
  12. Will be interested to see how the market is also, though i picked up a few sharks already and there will be two in the set so wont need any more. Appreciate the head's up, honestly i'm fairly sure i'll pick up the set. Though watching the live review to see about pieces. BrickVault has mentioned the intention to review, so yeah :3
  13. 17th, the VIP points end on the 16th. Lego timed it so you cant buy the set while double VIP is happening. If we are lucky they may accidentally put it online early or let double VIP roll over an extra day accidentally - otherwise it'll be released the day after VIP points end.
  14. Would be very disappointed to not get a new mold for her headdress - especially considering how the character looks without the headdress. I tend to enjoy Michaelmgf when it comes to reviews of Marvel & DC sets, he normally remarks quite a bit on accuracy. From what i can tell the same printed method is used and its printed ontop of official lego pieces. He did some reviews on Captain America, Spider-man and The Collector by Phoenix Customs that should help you decide - only minor issue is that these figures may not currently be available. Sometimes they are re-released and i believe if you message Phoenix Customs on Facebook then you should hear back about if a re-release is planned or if an affiliate seller has them.
  15. I managed to get my hands on a shark, here are some pics; Please excuse the bench cover, its a bit dusty ><
  16. The ship has grown on me quite a bit - the inclusion of not just one, but two Ghost Sharks also helps seal the deal. I still plan on modding it heavily into a pre-explosion version. The aged/destroyed version is primarily black due to smoke and fire damage which could cause details to be lost when translated to a Lego model - while the deck in the film is dark brown/reddish brown/brown which unfortunately does not have much representation in pieces so they likely chose a different colour due to available parts. Some of the Lego model has brighter colours, such as the gold on the spires, likely because they did not have a way to represent the aged effect. As mentioned, the cabin seems fairly empty from the side view. However i do hope we get some unique pieces hidden away in there. As a sidenote, the figurehead does appear to be alive in the trailers - as we see this looming stone-like carving reaching for Jack from one of the vessels when he is leaping between the cannons.
  17. You mentioned "Thor w/helmet mold" and it confirmed we were getting a helmet, but it was vague enough to raise questions as to whether the hair piece is included, given it presented three options; - Helmet mold - Helmet combined with hair mold - Helmet mold with spare hair piece By 'helmet/hair mold' do you mean the helmet is molded to include his hair - something akin to the below image of Thorin? Or do you mean that we are getting a seperate helmet mold and hair mold?
  18. He really needed a better hair piece - and his torso print does not seem accurate to the currently released images (though it looks alright) - Facial print is 'ok' but does not have the likeness of Jeff Goldblum - Torso is alright, though currently not accurate - Legs should have been printed. - Arms are 'ok', printing would have been nice though not particularly needed
  19. Fairly sure Hela, if we get a hair piece for her, would have this hair peice, as far as i can tell its only been used for one figure/set in this colour; Would prefer just a helmet rather than helmet with hair. Just a helmet on its own allows for more customisability. Helmet's with hair always give off the appearance of that specific character. We should get a teaser trailer early April. Doctor Strange had a November 4th release and the teaser trailer was April 12th. Thor Ragnarok has a November 3rd release so the teaser trailer should be around April 11th. We'll probably have an extended or altered teaser trailer for GOTG 2.
  20. A look at Hela, Thor and Valkyrie from Thor Ragnarok to give an idea of what to expect figure-wise. Hela might give us some nice black and silver printed legs if we are lucky. Otherwise Thor and Vakyrie both look like they will have basic single colour legs and arms if they go with these designs.
  21. Glad we get two sharks per set. The skeletal structure of The Silent Mary is visible in the background - so perhaps a review is coming soon... As for the current design of the set, a bit disappointed they went for white, light grey and dark grey instead of black. Shall probably change this while building it as i feel the underside will look bad otherwise. Only thing left to wonder is whether we get a cabin/interior given the raised section at the back of the ship. If we do then i'll be incredibly pleased with the set, if not then it'll be a bit underwhelming. Either way, will likely end up buying it when released as have most the tools needed to mod it :3
  22. I think them bringing it back is going to be a continuing gag - though yeah, we'll see how it goes. Just seems iconic enough to get another version - either for Infinity War, Avengers 4 or GOTG 3. Though i do feel that they are going to keep decreasing the sizes of iconic vehicles in order to try and distribute them amongst affordable price ranges.
  23. It was apparently the basis for the inspiration of the Silent Mary in its ghost ship form, admittedly the ship design in the movie is more similar to the 2010 Imperial Flagship just with added decorations. Unfortunately there are no images of the full ship currently. In the trailer we have'nt seen the full ship in frame in detail and there was no real life ship used for filming so trying to get a sense of the overall look is problematic I'm currently working off a selection of set pictures i found when they built the deck of the ship for filming - coupled with shots from the trailer and comparing it to the Lego model to see how it was adapted/shrunk. Ordered a bunch of pieces and hopefully should make quite a bit of progress very quickly once they arrive. Mostly the intial goal is to 'repair' Lego's Silent Mary, then to increase the size of it to be more accurate.
  24. Some of these do not seem the same as the movie versions; Cole's vehicle seems largely unchanged. Nya's has a lighter colour scheme and its clear that its been scaled down quite a bit - it also has triple laser cannons near the cockpit and flags out the back. Jay's vehicle appears to be purple now Zane's tank noticeable has a different cockpit design and only one row of tank treads Lloyd's dragon is sand green and a brighter shade than the trailer I'm fairly sure these are the CGI rendering's of the set forms of the vehicle's we see in the trailer. In other words, this is probably our first look at how the sets look. We had a similar style of poster for the Lego Movie where it had a movie styled scene but with the actual set;
  25. Personally expecting Infinity War to have a set featuring the Milano and the Avengers Quinjet facing off against each other, both smaller than the scale we got them in 2017 and the Civil War sets respectively.
