  1. Have high expectations for the Iron Spider... anything other than full printing would be a disappointment - especially considering how good the Civil War and Homecoming Spider-man is. Hopefully we get that Outrider piece in red/blue/gold and a few of the gold skelly arms so we can have Iron Spider with the arms (even if it's not in the movie would be nice)
  2. The Outrider looks 'ok' - though I'm fairly sure the movie version only has four arms so the six armed appearance for the moment is not accurate. The 'new?' piece used to connect it so the arms are on the back does provide a nice hunched look which works well with the Outriders though. Would still have liked some leg print - especially give the figure having so many detail-less pieces. Captain America looks 'meh' - the beard does not look filled in, the star is not entirely removed, the lack of dual molded arms is understandable because it's replicating the running scene in Wakanda, the lack of leg print is also understandable but it would have helped to have a darker colour scheme for the suit. Black Widow looks 'alright' - it's going to take a while to get used to the Black, Blonde and Green appearance, not sure it needed the very obvious zip on the torso piece, leg print works well.
  3. If they are in this catalogue like the Avengers and Avengers;AoU sets, then mid December. If not then Mid January like the GOTG2 sets.
  4. They picked probably the worst time to take the accounts down - as we've already seen some of the main figures of importance and they all are, at a quality level, weak and easily beatable by rival companies and custom figure makers so not much worry about a rival company copying the designs or anything. Granted it's leaks and things so it's kind of expected, but it would have served them better to have someone sneakily leak out one of the better Infinity War figures before the take-down. Plus we only have seven days or so before the catalogue leaks start to arrive... so they left it a bit late.
  5. This is from a Ninjago 2018 set that sells for $49.99 - it's an official image and several of the official images are already on Brickset so should be fine sharing; The set with Thanos is €79.99, that's works out to higher than the Ninjago set, and yet Thanos has barely any detail... the main villain who has been built up for several movies has less detail and effort than Thor Ragnarok's Hulk who only appeared for a fight scene in the outfit we got. What the heck happened? Thanos deserved a better figure than what the leaks imply is what we are getting.
  6. Not sure how in-detail we can get, but from the description i believe the Bike belonged to the Gaurdians Of The Galaxy and was probably added solely for play-ability. Same with Thanos's sword - which is just for the conflict. In the movie it'll probably just be him using the Infinity Gauntlet to do insane things that couldn't really be replicated.
  7. I'm happier we are getting the leaks now rather than seeing these when they are officially unveiled, if i saw all of these under-detailed or inaccurate designs at once not sure how I'd survive the disappointment xD Some are salvageable via customizing, but currently this wave is underwhelming. We've seen three figures and a potential big-fig - and none have really stood out - and one of them has been the main villain. I hope it changes though with other figures revealed.
  8. I get why it happened, I'm just waiting for that one standout figure to be revealed - the one where they put all this money they were saving and effort into. The figure where i kind of don't mind the others lacking as much detail because they put a ton of detail into one. At the moment Cull Obsidian/Black Dwarf and the new Spider-man suit seems the only hope for that - which is a bit unfortunate. Though in theory we could get Thanos variants for the 2019 Avengers, as Infinity War was originally meant to be a two-parter and in theory it's possible we could see Thanos again if he survives/returns after Infinity War.
  9. My mistake, thought it was dual molded. Still looks better in regards to the helmet though - The MCU version is very similar to the comics being primarily blue.
  10. Thanos looks like a downgrade from his previous version which had dual molded legs, dual molded helmet and a better facial expression than generic anger that suited the whole 'mad titan' idea. I hope it is fake, but the small amounts of printing on the new version do look similar. For those remarking on the helmet; Before he acquires the Infinity Stones he has the Armour, the Russo's decided that when he has the Infinity Stones he wouldn't need the Armour so discards it. As such he should have the Armour at some point in the movie. This could easily be based on a scene that happens earlier in the movie or concept art that was abandoned. The hope now is that he gets a better representation in the D2C set OR that this is from the D2C and we get a different variant with the Final Battle set OR the best option where this is fake.
  11. Brace yourselves. Catalogue images appearing for a few themes. We may see more images of figures and possibly sets soon.
  12. For those wondering how to make the most accurate looking version of Proxima Midnight, here is a rundown of updates needed to make her look more like the movie version or more like the comic version; Proxima Midnight - movie look; Primarily black colour scheme with white details scattered throughout and a metallic silver arm. Legs; Somewhat excusable, could be improved with black legs with white pockets/side pouches - the 2013 Scout Trooper variant would work perfectly here (potentially switching out the middle connection piece for a black one) Left arm; Black, white and has silver detailing. Ideally it would have similar printing to Thor in Thor Ragnarok, though giving it the same metallic arm as Nebula could also improve the accuracy - will still clash with gold print on torso. Right arm; Primarily black, with white detailing on the shoulder. A black arm or a dual molded arm similar to the one used in the CMF 'Monster Scientist' could work here. Staff; Metallic silver/silver, with three spikes - a recoloured version of the weapon shown below would work fine if we do not get a new mold. Proxima Midnight - Comic Look; Primarily black colour scheme with white details on torso and a gold arm. Legs; Are pure black, so works perfectly with the original figures legs. Left arm; Is pure gold, so works perfectly with the original figure left arm. Right arm; Is black with minor white details on some versions, should be replaced with black arm. Staff; Golden, with one spike - the spear included with the CMF Flying Warrior would work perfectly.
  13. I think they've been slowly making him more grey between the movies - though i think a brown fur version would be nice. As long as it's possible to switch the torso to another (different costumes) without much issue. Mario_power on Instagram.
  14. True, the other aspect is cost cutting methods, Lego have arguably peaked and have started to realize that. They aren't becoming less popular, but the target audience has been almost completely tapped meaning the best way to continue to increase profits is to find cheaper ways of providing the product - such as less details, different plastics, etc... Let me stop you right there, nobody has mentioned Silver Centurion levels of printing. The default and justifiable expected level of printing for army builder figures based off the 2012 and 2015 sets is head, torso and legs. To not comment on when a lesser amount is received would be to ignore progress and pre-established improvements with Lego figures over the course of the last decade. These are supposed to be figures you want to army build - which is not something many want to do if the figure looks unfinished. 10 years ago people would have accepted a lack of printing easily enough, as it was the expected level of printing. Nowadays head, torso and legs or head, torso and arms is starting to be more expected, especially in licensed sets, because that is what we see more often. There is nothing wrong with wanting a figure to have printing, especially considering we've gotten higher levels of printing quality in prior sets from what will be six years ago and three years ago respectively. It's not complaining, it's factual observations of the changing nature of Lego figures and people are not even emotionally invested in it as much as just acknowledging it has happened, it's more along the lines of 'oh that unfortunate, would have liked to see printed legs, hope the other figures are better'. As far as i can tell people have mentioned it once or twice and not even really focused on it. You seem to be the only one taking it personally that people aren't welcoming the Outrider's lack of printing with open arms - and i'm not entirely sure why given only a handful of people have commented briefly on it and none of whom have made any remarks that would remotely be considered "out of hand".
  15. Personally would hope it is a new piece. The Garmadon method works i suppose, but it make the figure very tall and the Outrider's don't really look that much taller than Black Panther or Captain America in the trailer - as such I'm not sure i really desire seeing them be as tall as Garmadon.
  16. The implication i have been reading a lot of is the following; Lego are cutting costs, as noticed by several of the Ninjago bricks allowing light to pass through them, a sign of cheaper plastic The lack of printing specific details is however linked primarily to Disney not providing finalized concept art for characters Lego tend to receive concept art that does not fully show the character and may not be entirely accurate to the movie, as such they tend to only add the details they see and simply do not bother with other details that may not be seen. Proxima Midnight is a brilliant example of this, as she sports a golden arm which is not on the finalized movie statues demonstrated at Comic Con - but is instead featured on this concept art for the movie. Luckily though for us, Proxima Midnight's movie colour scheme is black and white. This provides quite a lot of ways to easily customize the figure to be more accurate to the movie, though the only major downside will be the golden arm, which she may not have in the film - however it does make her look somewhat more like the comic version;
  17. Most likely this - still, would be nice to see the attachment piece - could somewhat justify the lack of leg/arm print if we get a printed Garmadon type of attachment piece. In addition, it's a bit disappointing that we did not get printed legs for Killmonger's gold suit - they could have been re-used for the Outriders with little issue. Anyone have any black with gold detail leg suggestions? Maybe Corvus Glaive will provide some... hopefully.
  18. Yeah, i'm kind of feeling that at the moment. Would'nt mind a lack of arm printing - especially if it ends up getting the FOUR arms it is meant to have - but leg printing would have been nice. As for thoughts; Head print is fine, body print would probably work well for Wasp. Lack of leg print is a bit unfortunate, unsure why it is lacking the other two arms... maybe we'll see something nice done with those to justify it. Three figures into the line-up and so far only one of them has leg printing... and no arm print on any... that's a bit worrying.
  19. Just realised Proxima's torso print is printed on a white torso... why? It would have looked better on black. Hulkbuster head has slightly more detail at the bottom - but otherwise looks the same - which makes sense i suppose. Hopefully the build is an improvement over the last. Iron Man figure looks fine, it's an Iron Man... not much to really say about it. Lack of arm printing is 'ok' here i suppose - they do not tend to get arm print often.
  20. I need to see what they did with Black Dwarf/Cull Obsidian and Thanos. Those are the main two figures i want to be good from this wave. Corvus Glaive also to an extent due to his staff and maybe Ebony Maw to a lesser extent. At the moment, disappointed by the lack of leg and arm printing, but hope they deliver on other figures. At least we dont seem to be getting many repeat figures and Proxima Midnight at least seems salvageable.
  21. Proxima is underwhelming. Face print is fine along with the horns, the hair looks strange but i suppose it's Lego they cannot really do much with the hair - unsure about the line on her chin. The chest print is great, other than the gold segment that might not be in the movie. The lack of leg and arm printing is what disappoints me with her figure, especially when you compare it to the image we have seen of Proxima Midnight. The gold arm might be from the movie, we'll have to see... but the rest is underwhelming. The gold arm seems based on the comic version of Proxima Midnight. Are there any black and white dual molded legs/arms that could work for her? Currently thinking the 'CMF Monster Scientist' arms could work - as the upper segments of the arms are more white while the lower segments are black - legs are similar also with black primarily but white details on the side. Edit; Found these which could potentially work for legs - they were in the advent calendar (75023) only minor issue is that the connecting piece should be black to match with the torso. Edit 2; Saw someone mention these might work, they are from an imperial hovertank pilot (75152)
  22. I honestly would not mind this, but from the sets/figures we know about we are missing a few who would probably not be suited to be included in a display set - such as Loki, Drax and Nebula. From the description, i expect it to be a hero's ship. I still place my viewpoint in that the Thanos we get in this set may not be a big-fig but some sort of brick-built figure - as the implication seemed to be 'Ship & Bike VS Thanos with Sword'
  23. Wakanda has interesting building designs, but i dont think it could be justified as a set given that the only aspects of the battle we have seen occur in a field. Infinity War trailer showed a different ship so chances of us getting the Ragnarok variant are slim - unless it also appears in Infinity War. *As a sidenote think we're meant to speculate here instead
  24. As far as i recall the Ant-Man and The Wasp boxes were just black boxes with a logo. Very easily could be fake. Regardless, not really worth discussing until we see more. Does seem that way... three claw prints on the front of the 'feet'. Nice spot there.
  25. Maybe it is larger in a different scene, but we see him fire it in the trailers and it looks like it's a fairly small weapon - honestly looks like it would be more suited to using a lego lightsaber piece attached to a flesh/shirt coloured Cyborg's arm.
